viara push keilan a bit and ask
"Why are you always trying to kiss me?" Viara asked in a sleepy tone. "We shouldn't be this close. Why don't you understand?" she added, sounding annoyed.
"I just… don't know what to say," he murmured, his voice uncertain, fragile.
"You should go to your work," she said, trying to sound composed. "I just don't want anyone near me."
"Am I anyone to you?" Keilan's voice broke slightly — not angry, but hurt. He gave a dry chuckle. "Forget it… you're right. I should focus on my work. Take care."
He tapped his hands lightly against his knees, stood up, and left the room without another word.
The door clicked shut. Silence lingered.
Viara stared at the door for a long moment. Her heart twisted in confusion.
Why did he say that? Why does he care so much, did I hurt him again?
She leaned back against her pillow, exhaling deeply. "He shouldn't have come closer," she whispered to herself.
---
An hour later viara comes to her rooms balcony and thought "I "I should focus on my career, and here I am getting so much attention! from keilan", I just want to talk with elvric but I can't" this is so frustrating, I think i should sleep one more time, Viara heads toward her bed and tries to sleep and fortunately viara drifted to sleep because of the fever and the medicine she takes.
-------------
Next day viara wakes up, her fever lighten up much more now so she finally decided to get out of her bed. Her fever had calmed, though her body still felt weak. She slipped into a soft pastel knee length dress, brushed her hair, and looked at her reflection in the mirror.
"You can do this," she muttered under her breath. "Just act normal."
As she descended the stairs, the familiar sound of laughter, chatter, and clinking plates filled the air. The Sharma mansion was glowing with life — decorations scattered everywhere, workers rushing with garlands, children running with colorful ribbons.
"Viara! What are you doing downstairs?" Diana exclaimed from the dining table. "You're still not fully fine, dear!"
"I'm fine now, really," Viara smiled faintly, brushing her hair back.
"Fine?" Anjali raised an eyebrow. "Look at your face — you're pale as milk!"
"She's just pretending," Jack teased, earning a light slap from Liora. "Hey! What? You all pamper her too much!"
Everyone laughed. Viara shook her head, trying to hide her smile.
"Come, sit here," Sharvari said, pulling out a chair beside her. "You shouldn't be walking around."
"Exactly," Diana said while pouring juice into a glass. "Here, have this. Doctor said rest means rest."
"Yes, yes, treat her like a queen," Daniel said dramatically, placing an imaginary crown on Viara's head. "Queen Viara, ruler of the sick kingdom!"
"Daniel!" Anjali glared, and everyone burst out laughing again.
Even amidst the teasing, Viara felt warmth spread through her chest. The house was loud, chaotic — but so full of love.
Still, as her eyes moved from face to face, she noticed someone was missing.
Keilan.
Her heart stilled for a second. Where is he?
---
The morning went by in a blur of activity. The house staff brought in flowers, lights, fabrics — the wedding was just days away. Viara tried to keep herself busy, helping with the decor despite everyone telling her not to.
"Viara, leave that garland alone!" Anjali called. "You'll faint again if you keep running around."
"I'm fine, Aunt," Viara said, hanging a string of marigolds near the staircase.
"Oh no, you're not fine," Tara said, appearing behind her with a mischievous grin. "Your hands are shaking!"
"They're not!" Viara laughed, showing her palms. "See?"
"Uh-huh," Tara said, raising an eyebrow. "If you faint, I'm blaming Keilan for not keeping an eye on you."
At that name, Viara froze for a split second. "He's… not even here," she said quickly, trying to sound casual.
Tara looked confused. "Really? I thought I saw him outside earlier."
Viara's heart skipped. Outside?
She turned subtly toward the window, scanning the lawn. Her breath caught — there he was.
Keilan stood near the far end of the garden, talking to one of the decorators. His sleeves were rolled up, the sunlight glinting off his watch as he helped adjust the placement of a flower arch. He looked calm, collected — but distant.
Her lips parted slightly. He's here… but he didn't even look at me.
"Wait! But why did I care about it if he looks at me or not?" viara think and get backs to her work
What she didn't know was that he had looked at her — from the moment she entered the hall. He noticed how pale she still was, how she tried to hide her tiredness behind that soft smile. But after what she said — "I just don't want anyone near me!" — he didn't have the courage to meet her eyes.
She doesn't want me close, he thought bitterly. Then I'll stay where she wants me — far.
Yet even from a distance, his gaze followed her every move. When she bent to fix the garland, he noticed how her hand trembled slightly. When she laughed with Tara, his chest tightened at the sound.
He looked away, clenching his jaw. "Get a grip, Keilan," he muttered under his breath.
---
Later that afternoon, the mansion looked like a festival ground. Strings of fairy lights hung from the balcony, the scent of roses and jasmine filled the air, and the sound of laughter echoed from every corner.
Viara sat with Ella and Shrav, helping them make paper flowers.
"Look, look! Aunt Viara, I made a yellow one!" little Ella squealed.
"Oh wow!" Viara clapped. "That's so pretty, my princess!"
"Mine's better!" Shrav said proudly, holding up a crooked red flower.
"Of course it is!" Viara said dramatically, kissing both their cheeks as they giggled.
The family watched them fondly. "She's good with kids," Liora whispered to Diana.
"Hmm," Diana smiled softly. "And she looks happier now."
But even in that laughter, Viara's eyes unconsciously wandered toward the garden door — empty now.
---
By evening, the sky turned golden-orange. The workers left, the family gathered in the main hall for tea and snacks. Everyone looked cheerful — except Keilan, who had quietly slipped to the balcony upstairs, watching from afar.
From his spot, he could see her — her laughter, her smile, her glow. And even though she wasn't looking at him, it felt like she was everywhere he looked.
She called me anyone, he thought, staring at his hands. But why can't I stop caring?
---
"Viara, enough helping now," Anjali's voice broke through the noise. "Go rest now, "Tomorrow will be a long day."
"Okay, Aunt," Viara said softly, brushing her hands against her kurta. "I'll go rest."
As she walked upstairs, she glanced once more toward the balcony — but Keilan was already gone.
---
Her room was quiet again. The faint murmur of laughter from downstairs faded slowly. She sat on her bed, holding a soft pillow close to her chest.
"I don't know what's wrong with me," she whispered to herself. "He's just… Keilan. My cousin. Then why do his words stay in my head?"
Her vision blurred as tears welled up. She was about to wiped them quickly — but before she could, someone's hand brushed against her cheek, gently wiping the tear away.
Her eyes widened. "Keilan?"
He stood there, a small basket of fruits in his hand, looking startled. "I—uh… I just came to drop this off. Aunt asked me to bring it."
"Oh…" she said softly, her voice trembling.
He turned as if to leave, but she reached out and grabbed his wrist. "Don't," she whispered.
He froze.
"Just… sit. For a minute."
He hesitated, then sat down beside her, the silence thick around them.
"You don't have to explain," he said quietly. "You need rest. That's all."
"I don't want to rest," she murmured. "I want to tell you about elvric."
"Elvric ?" he looked at her, surprised.
"Yes," she said, looking straight into his eyes.
"But why? " he asked
"You said I still carry Elvric in my heart. Maybe I do. But you never asked me why it is like that? Don't you want to know, Why it's like that Keilan? How it all started? What really happened?" it is not a fantasy story but it is my emotions, it's about my love.
The air went still — heavy, tense, fragile.
Keilan's throat tightened. He nodded once.
"okay, if this makes you feel better, then I am all ears"
