Morris's POV
I fixed Ridley with a cold stare, my eyes like shards of ice. "Mr. Collin, do you have any clue why your contract got torn up?" The words came out sharp and unforgiving.
Ridley's expression darkened. "This was your doing?"
"Next time, it won't be just a lost deal on the line," I warned him. I pushed past him into the building, my shoulder deliberately slamming into his as I moved.
Ridley shrank back under my intimidating glare, but he recovered quickly enough. His eyes tracked my retreating form.
Jason emerged just then, and we exchanged handshakes and pleasantries.
That's when it finally clicked for Ridley—I was the one who'd destroyed his arrangement with Jason.
'How does some kept man have enough influence to make Jason abandon such a massive opportunity with Collin Group?' Ridley must be wondering. 'Could Morris actually be connected to the Welch family?'
