Kasaru gritted his teeth and shot his arm forward, clenching his hand into a fist the moment the sword hit Tengoku. Instead of the blood simply boiling the wounds made by the sword it instead for lack of a better term; exploded. Kasarus eyes widened in astonishment as the impact hit Tengoku point blank. He looked down at his hand, and back at Raiden.
"That wasn't what I wanted but that clearly still worked!"
"To think that I brought out mine. Silly Girl. Let me teach you some manners while i'm here." Shizu powered up, her attacks becoming stronger. "Isn't it good to use the tools you know to your advantage? You would know more than anyone. I've heard your name vaguely. I know what your hobbies are. You're no saint. You dare defile my character? For what purpose? You are nothing but a rat to me. Pull out your garbage ability so I can show you who runs things here now."
Tengoku minimized all the damage with his ability tumbling back. Tengoku was strong. Incredibly strong, but he was small, short, and his body could only handle so much force with the usage of his ability.
It was a double edged sword, since his ability nullified any and all mana based abilities with the touch of his mana. A death to what had changed the world into what it is today.
He could kill any Tokubetsu, any power with just a touch. It was conjured in his hands and was destroyed in his hands He smiled at Raiden, clenching his fists as he stood back panting. "Come again with your dragon! You won't get past this time even with a team ability, I promise. I bleed this life. You? You do this because you were told too by your dad. Tell me again: Who is Raiden Otizawa? Is that your identity because you're the royalty's son or is that your identity because that's who you manifested yourself to be? Does your name hold any weight without the image that you're portrayed to be by the public?! Right now you're being prepped to be the best in the world, but i'm going to show you who the best in the world is."
Yuki smiled sadistically as Shizu demeaned her character. She always loved a good fight back. "The ancient Zenin were assassins, ones of great prowess. You want to see my ability so badly? That's fine." She continued spinning the circles of mana and pure energy, holding her hands up to the sky encompassing the field in a dark mist, all the contestants turning to her at an instant. Her eyes were blood red with hints of blue and purple now, an ever changing eye of sorts. She walked slowly towards Shizukana. "This is it. My Zenin heritage brought all into one."
Mana surrounded her. The cloud literally existing as her mana, she vanished with the mist, her voice could be heard around Shizu. "How does a peasant like you try and defile the Zenin name?"
Raiden smiled at Tengoku uncaring for the boys coping mechanism and insults, the only words that stopped him for a split second was-
"Who is Raiden Otizawa?"
His body became engulfed with aura. He dashed towards Tengoku as his blade laid close to Tengoku's feet. His smile faded as he got closer and closer to the angry teen.
"I'm the last dragon, don't you ever forget that!"
He launched his palms forward into a fakeout, suddenly vanishing from Tengoku's vision in a mockery of his Fathers own ability.
"Dragon Kin: Transportation!"
He reappeared on top of his sword, Raiden, still holding the Yoshiwara flag in his right hand, used it as an extension to sweep Tengoku. He grabbed the blade by the hilt and flung it towards the Ashina flagpole.
"Low born? That's a joke." Shizu's eyes glowed as they started panning back and forth, the speed picking up second by second.
"Let's see you stop me."
She looked all around, sensing for a change of some sorts. A spike, a decrease. She searched the mist with her eyes as she moved forward through the mist.*
"Assassins? Wow. How boring. I guess the zenin clan is as boring as the books say." She fake rubbed a tear from her face. "Do not expect pity when you actually get hurt. Unless you just want to let me win. Have at it."
Tengoku placed his hands upwards, his mana pulsing through the field as he held his blade, keeping the flag from going any more forward than it had. He pushed back, attempting to win the feat of strength and claim his own flag back by force. His hands shook as he held it, digging his feet into the dirt of the field.
Kasaru gave a look of desperation as he watched Tengoku clash against Raiden, he had a moment of hesitation before he quickly turned his arm palm down and closed his palm sharply.
"Collapse...!"
The initial attack Raiden had landed on Tengokus body had caused Kasarus blood from the blade to splatter onto Tengokus body, notably his blade arm. He felt an undeniable pressure crushing his arm, the veins becoming more pronounced similar to how Kasarus arm looked with the activation of his abilities. Kasaru focused his power into collapsing the veins in Tengokus arm. Feathers crept up Kasarus arm and towards his torso, his eyes started to glaze over.
"Bastard."
He released the ability, hoping he did enough damage to make a difference as the feathers on his body faded, he slipped into a state of near unconsciousness as he laid limp on the floor.
Tengoku's arm started to bleed, however his ability alllowed him to cancel out the entire process. Kasaru's efforts had fell flat in front of the young prodigy's power.
However, for a split second he was overpowered and he lost the struggle. Raiden had a free lane to gain Ashina a point.
"You still think those flames will work?" Kokkaku landed a clean blow right to Vermelha's nose, using Joseph's help of his shadows to his advantage to keep Vermelha from moving too much toward their flag. Kokkaku in theory, especially with his ability was the perfect man for a defensive strategy. Vermelha was knocked to the floor by Kokkaku, Yoshiwara's offense breaking into pieces.
A knife went flying past Shizu's cheek scraping her, Yuki reformed behind her almost instantly. She looked up as she did so.
"Me? Getting hurt?"
She vanished into mist again before appearing to the side of Shizu, an assassins blade in her hand. The mist blocking others from seeing the fight that was ensuing. She swung her blade at quick succession, hopping back and forward like a boxer would.
"COME ON THEN BITCH!" She swung her assassins dagger at high speeds at Shizukana.
Raiden took advantage of the situation and dashed towards the Ashina flagpole, he zig zagged into the mist nearly disappearing from sight and scoring the point for the Ashina side.
"Y-Yes!"
Kasaru was functionally incapacitated, lying on the floor in a state of complete delirium as his body tried to quickly recover its lost energy. The room was spinning for him and his ears were ringing, he had absolutely no control over his body.
Kokkaku was about to attack Vermelha again but stopped himself after seeing Raiden score.
"Maybe another sport is better for you, girlie."
Tengoku huff and puffed, walking over to Raiden. He put his hand on Raiden's shoulder panting. He slowly stood up, his shirt ripped from the impact. He was built extremely well, smaller than Rai but a well physique. He looked up at him. "Next one is ours Otizawa. You can bring your friend, You can bring your dragon. I'll see you packing up once we beat you guys 3-0 in this event." His energy was leaking and surging. He looked at Raiden letting him go. "I'll show you some respect. I admit I like the warrior that you are."
Vermelha looked on at him silently getting up after the point was scored. She walked past him, for a split second it felt like things had stopped, to Vermelha they were the only two people on the field. To Vermelha it was her and Kokkaku for the flag. She viewed him as a thorn in her side. A stone in her shoe. She scoffed at him.
"Looks like it's tied. Why don't we hammer this one out and see who becomes the victor."
Shizu disappeared and and appeared after the point was scored near Tengoku, protecting him from any more damage.
"Fair play Otizawa..but looks like your guy is out. Going to be tough with a handicap. This time i'll show you the true extent of my ability, and why you're inferior Zenin." Shizu did not want to particularly fight Yuki, reason being was because she genuinely viewed her as lower than her given her profession in weaponry and violence. She walked back over to her side silently.
"Is the score tied now or what?" Joseph inquired, having not seen if it was tied already or if that was the final point. Typical of him.
"If so…it's time to make my play."
