"Ready..Set..Go!" *The whistle was blown as the dodgeballs were sent over to the both of the teams, the two of them getting ready.
Matsumi jumped at the opportunity to grab the ball. "They still throw first, right?"
"Yeah, then the game starts and we're free to throw whenever we wish." Tengoku nodded to Matsumi.
"Got it, got it. Let's start already!"
Raiden grabbed one of the balls and flared up his own aura that was combined with Kasaru's, he placed a draconic aura around the ball itself and threw a curveball that aimed directly for Matsumi.
Matsumi was still looking at Shizu when he threw the ball, the ball came within a few feet from his face before he quickly put the one he had in the path of Raiden's. The ball bounced upward as Matsumi held the one in his hands like a shield. "Not wasting time, okay!" He jumped in place a little before throwing the ball right back at Raiden.
Raiden watched the ball as he dodged to the left and avoided the ball smacking into him, he prepared to dodge any other incoming attempts to hit him.
Kasaru was making sure to stay behind the team but not enough to draw suspicion, he kept his ground and made sure to use the people in front as a shield. It did seem selfish, but it was to ensure he wasn't hit.
Matsumi waited until the other ball he deflected would fall back down, grabbing it and throwing at random to any of Ashina's other team members. Fighting really wasn't his thing, this is more up his alley.
Vermelha waited and once the ball
returned, she moved and threw a clean ball straight for Kokkaku, the ball twisting and aiming for his lower leg.
Tengoku did the same and threw straight for Raiden's hip, tossing the ball as if it were a baseball, its size not mattering to him.
Kokkaku stepped to the side, letting the ball bounce on the ground. Afterwards, quickly rushing over to grab the ball to throw it back fast toward Shizu.
*Shizu used a mana barrier and blocked his hit with the ball, a large boom noise echoed throughout the court. She picked it up, now holding the ball. She planned on throwing both straight for Kokkaku once she got the chance. The ball flew for Kokkaku, aiming for him once again.
Kokkaku could still react in time, he dodged again but this time he barely moved from his position. He eyed Shizu from the other side.
Raiden dodged to the right avoiding throws all together, positioning himself on the right side of the court.
Yuki watched the ball hit the ground as she picked it up and imbued the ball with mana, throwing it in a curveball like motion that zig zagged throughout the air towards the opposing team.
Kasaru was focusing on ensuring no one as dropping below a certain threshold of mana, keeping the team steady as they were able to freely use the expanded mana reserves they all shared now as they focused, partially being able to sense danger for each other at will.
Gharma ended up getting ahold of a ball. He tossed it, whirring in the wind as he aimed for Vermelha. Vermellha got hit clean in the face with the ball. The referee blew the whistle.
"Disqualification Elimination for Team Ashina. You may not hit anyone in the face with the ball."
"W-What?! Are you serious?" Gharma almost screamed at Tobit. Vermelha fell to the floor holding her face. "Not in the face? What gives!"
"Looks like we're going to have to play it safe. No need to throw the ball like you're going to kill them."
"As we want the game to be as competitive and intense as possible, a shot to the head like that, even within an anti magic zone is deadly. We don't want any heavy injuries after all."
"You should've said that before the game started." Kokkaku groaned in annoyance.
As Kokkaku spoke a ball flew for him as it moved across the court straight for him, not wasting time since they had got an elimination. Kokkaku had not moved from his position, still ready for the attacks being thrown his way. This time, his eye reacted fast enough, allowing him to move his arms in front to catch the ball.
"Ah. I see you don't lose your focus. You're a good one." Kurai smiled, the same girl who had used the crows in the volleyball game.
"Not in the head, thank fuck..." Kasaru mumbled quietly to himself, there was a less likely chance of him being knocked out, he was still holding the soul resonance active passively without much strain.
Raiden bounced the ball on the floor three times, having his increased strength to land a solid impact on the ball all the way to the other side. Shizu caught the ball clean and threw it back into the fray, aiming for anyone on the other side as it twisted and headed for their side, spiraling out of control.
"Don't let that hit you! We already lost one!" Kokkaku yelled, trying to keep his team focused.
Raiden waited for the ball to travel across the court, yelling out to Joseph as the ball flew towards him. "Dodge it!"
