On screen:
The usual hustle and bustle of the city was shown. For the first few seconds, everything was peaceful, and nothing foreshadowed trouble, until suddenly there was an explosion. Black smoke rose into the sky, and people ran in panic. The explosion was so powerful that its shockwave affected buildings far away from the blast. Then the site of the explosion itself was shown. A figure could be seen in the crater, and in the next moment the screen showed it.
It was a muscular purple humanoid creature with veins bulging on patches of skin and two antennae with rounded ends sticking out of its head. It jerked upward, and glowing balls began to form around it. It waved its hand, and the balls flew into the buildings, creating powerful explosions on contact.
Other worlds.
People were frightened when they saw the destruction this creature caused. Those who were familiar with monsters and could fight them were amazed at the power demonstrated by the purple monster. However, there were also those who could cause much more destruction, and they stared at the humanoid with interest rather than fear.
The Universe: A Marvel Movie.
The Avengers stared at the screen with grim expressions. If Thor had been laughing before, he became serious when he saw the destruction.
"What is that creature?" Thor asked, addressing no one in particular.
He wondered if he could stop this creature with his hammer. He couldn't know for sure, and all he could do was watch, unable to help those he had promised to protect.
"Everything will be fine," Clint said with such confidence, as if he knew what would happen next. The other Avengers took notice of his confidence.
"I doubt they have a chance against such a creature." Tony sincerely felt sorry for those who had been caught in the explosion, but he also recognized that there was nothing he could do in such a situation.
Build a machine that could travel to this world? Even Tony wasn't sure of his abilities.
"Remember that bald guy?" Clint asked, and everyone looked at him strangely. Clint had no doubts; he had seen this creature defeated by the bald man with his own eyes, so he was calm. Although he was a little bothered by the people who had been killed in the explosion.
"Do you think he's capable of doing anything against him?" Natasha asked. She believed Clint's words, and her question was more of an excuse to distract herself from the destruction on the screen.
"No. I know."
"All we can do is watch," concluded Bruce.
Universe: Blade Slaying Demons.
The Pillars had to call an emergency meeting due to the appearance of strange flying squares. At first, they assumed that this was the work of demons, or Muzan himself, but before they could come to any conclusions, they were told that these screens were created to see into another world. Before they could digest the new information, they were shown fragments, and the most shocking thing was the "ignoring" of Gemei and Ubuyashiki's blindness. According to them, they could clearly see the screens floating in front of them, while everything else was shrouded in darkness as before.
The pillars had no choice but to watch what they were shown, in case they saw something useful to themselves. And when they were shown Saitama, the girl with bright pink hair tied in two ponytails covered her mouth with her hand, trying not to laugh. The others looked at the man with slight disdain. Tengen criticized his appearance. Sanemi looked at him with irritation. Shinobu tilted her head with slight confusion on her face. Everyone reacted in their own way.
But then they saw a bizarre world where people went about their business. And now they looked on with curiosity, which quickly disappeared with the appearance of the purple creature and the destruction it brought.
"Even in another world, there are demons," Sanemi said with irritation and a hint of anger. He immediately wanted to rush in and cut off the monster's head, but quickly remembered that the screens were only for viewing. All he could do was watch, and that angered him.
"I doubt that this 'creature' can be called a demon," Shinobu said. "Its abilities are very different from what I've seen before." She stared intently at the screen, especially at the glowing balls that the monster was creating.
Meanwhile, Gemei was praying, his hands clasped together with beads, tears in his eyes. He was praying for the repose of those who had died from the attacks of the purple monster.
"I'm more concerned about how they are going to fight this creature, let alone kill it." Keijuro paused for a second, remembering Saitama. "What do you think that bald man has to do with this?"
Sanemi growled at the mention of Saitama: "He's just a fool who will die when he encounters this monster." People like that always annoyed him. They think they can do something, then die when they encounter a demon. They die because of their own stupidity.
"I agree with Sanemi. Most likely, the bald man will die with just one blow." Obana shared his opinion.
"But this is a different world." Mitsuri disagreed. She didn't know much about other universes, but she was well aware that everything was different there. "Maybe he'll be able to defeat it."
Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who had been silent until then, spoke up, and everyone listened to him.
"Mitsuri is right, it's a different world, and so we can only watch, because we are powerless to influence anything."
"Yes, Ubuyashiki-san," all the pillars nodded.
On the screen:
A dark room was shown, inside were computers with unusual screens that were sounding alarms. And in front of the monitors sat people in suits. One of them turns around.
"He's close! Do we have people there?!" the man asks.
"We couldn't get in touch with Gromax and Smilemen!" replied the girl.
One man stood up from his seat and announced loudly, "Maximum danger level!"
Then two men dressed in remarkable suits are shown: one in black, the other in red. They were both lying unconscious on the rubble, and the screen moved to the side to show the monster not far from them, standing with his back to the screen. There was a flash, and something erupted from his head; apparently, he had fired somewhere ahead.
Then the screen showed a city engulfed in black smoke.
"Just look at these monstrous explosions!" The screen lowered and showed a reporter in a protective helmet. "They won't stop, and it's all because of the monster." The angle changed and showed a TV screen showing the reporter.
"The Hero Association has not yet determined the threat level." The camera began to shake, then the broadcast cut out and static began.
The screen zooms out and a bald man appears in the frame.
"It's time," was all he said, and for a second, darkness is shown, footsteps are heard, Saitama walks down a dark corridor, the light becoming brighter as he approaches the exit. When he finally comes out, the screen is illuminated, and the swish of a cape is heard. Whether intentional or not, he looked like a comic book hero. Looking at the root, his cape fluttered dramatically after the wave, and he himself looked cool. And to add to the coolness, the words "Let justice begin" appear on the screen.
Other worlds.
Those who laughed at him had to admit that he really did look cool. Some even began to applaud him, and children looked at the screen with admiration. After all, he was a real superhero, not fictional, but real, even if in another world. However, some still had doubts about the monster; its power was frightening, and no one could imagine that this bald man could defeat the beast.
Universes: Vanpunchman.
Genos watched the screen with admiration, while passersby stared blankly between the screen and Saitama, thinking they were two different people. If the one on the screen looked "heroic," then Saitama himself was... too simple? Was it really him?
Saitama himself began to get even more annoyed, wanting to get rid of all the unnecessary attention. He suddenly stared blankly into space for a second and slapped his forehead, whispering about what an idiot he was. Grabbing the groceries he had just bought, he jumped towards his house, and Genos flew after him.
Meanwhile, all the S-class heroes noted to themselves that he had also participated in the battle with the aliens from space. No one saw him in action then, but if he survived, it meant he possessed some kind of power. Only a few did not pay much attention to this.
Tatsumaki looked at the screen with her usual irritation. If she could, she would have destroyed it, but unfortunately, it wouldn't break, which made her even angrier.
King waited with some trepidation for the moment when everyone would see that it was not he, but Saitama who had dealt with this purple monster. No, he was not afraid for his reputation; on the contrary, he wanted to get rid of the title of the strongest, and the screen was a good way to do that. However, it is unlikely that everyone would be happy to learn that he had taken credit for someone else's achievement. Unfortunately, he happened to be nearby, and when the monster was defeated, everyone assumed it was his doing. He even imagined how this bald man, enraged, would try to sue him, or worse, take matters into his own hands. It wouldn't be difficult for the one who defeated this purple monster to do the same to him. His heart began to beat faster from the tension.
Those who were aware of Saitama's power did not pay much attention to what was happening on the screen.
Universe: My Hero Academia.
"He looks... cool." Kaminari, who had previously considered him unimpressive, now saw his friends looking at him with smirks. Ashido even started poking him with her elbow.
"Take that back?" Mina said mockingly, raising her eyebrows. Kaminari sighed, then nodded.
While the others applauded Saitama, Izuku tried to draw him as accurately as possible in his notebook.
If earlier they had been alarmed by the creature's actions, now all the tension had dissipated. When Saitama stepped outside, his mere appearance dispelled the gloomy atmosphere and brought smiles back to everyone's faces.
Others felt the same way. Most of the heroes welcomed his appearance with words of support for their colleague. The almighty couldn't help but smile. He himself had once given people faith and a feeling that everything would be fine. Even though he had only just appeared, his appearance left no one indifferent.
While others rejoiced, one group of villains had their own opinion on the matter.
"This monster seems very strong. Do you think the heroes from 'our world' could handle him?" Toga asked thoughtfully.
"Considering the destruction he causes, I can imagine how many heroes would die in battle against him," Dabi scratched his head, thinking about something. "I doubt that the 'new' number one hero could do anything against him," he said with a hint of malice in his voice.
He imagined his father trying to do something with his fire.
Spinner mooed discontentedly. After the Almighty's announcement of his retirement, his place would naturally be taken by the diligent hero number two, the one he despised and considered unworthy of standing where the Almighty had once stood. His mood was further dampened by the poster of Saitama. "Another clown in a costume," he thought, until he appeared to him in a completely different role, and then he decided to watch him.
Universe: RWBY
"The hero has taken the stage," Ruby said excitedly. It was like a scene from her favorite superhero comics. And to be honest, he looked way cooler.
"That was impressive," said Vise, who had previously rolled her eyes at the poster with him on it, now watching his exit with slightly wide eyes. This amused some people. It's not every day you see her like this.
"Wow," was all Jon said, not even hiding his admiration. A hero, a real hero. He himself dreamed of being a hero, and to see a hero with his own eyes was amazing.
Pirra stared at Jon with a smile. Right now, he looked very cute and innocent, his eyes full of admiration. Noticing that her friends were looking at her with smirks, she quickly turned her gaze back to the screen, as if nothing had happened. But the slight blush on her cheeks betrayed her embarrassment.
On the screen.
A city was shown. Everything was destroyed, buildings were in ruins, and the sky was filled with black smoke. Amidst this chaos was a crying girl calling for her parents. Then the monster itself appeared behind her. It began to slowly walk towards her, and standing behind her, it stretched out its pulsating hand to grab and possibly crush her.
He clenched his hand, and suddenly something flashed by and the girl disappeared. Puzzled, he looked to the side and saw Saitama, and next to him lay the girl.
"What are you doing here?" he asks.
His smirk was shown, then he stood up to his full height.
"Just doing my thing," he replies casually. The screen shows his face up close.
"What! You're talking nonsense," the monster frowns and turns to him. "You ruined the whole planet, that's why I was born. My name is Vaccine Man!" he declares, patting himself lightly on the chest, while Saitama continues to stand and listen. "The Earth is a living being, and you humans are just a virus sucking all the life out of it. I am the embodiment of its defiled desires, and it wants you dead!" he shouted in anger.
Gradually, his body began to change, covering itself with spikes and growing larger, his eyes reddening, and his side fangs becoming larger. Saitama, in turn, continued to stare blankly. The purple monster looked more like a beast.
"And you, with your feats, went against the viceroy of nature for fun?! Yes, you people..." His monologue was interrupted when Saitama hit him. His body was torn to pieces. The blow was so strong that its shockwave dispersed all the smoke, clearing the sky of clouds.
Saitama stood in a silly pose while smoke rose from his fist. He looked at his hand with an unreadable expression on his face. "Damn, here we go again... one punch and it's all over." He fell to his knees and shouted desperately, "I FAILED!"
A screen appeared next to him with the words:
[Name: Saitama. Through hellish training, he broke his limit, thereby gaining incredible strength. He is currently the strongest in that world.]
Other worlds.
What they saw shocked everyone. It all happened so fast that some needed time to process what they had seen. With just one blow, only scraps remained of the once fearsome monster. And he had seemed incredibly strong. Then they remembered the name and quickly realized what it was.
Universe: Justice League. Animated series.
"His power is amazing," Diana said in surprise. For her, it was like a blow from a mighty god. Remembering someone she once thought of in the same way, Superwoman looked at Superman. What if Saitama wasn't human at all, but something else? Someone who lives among earthlings, like Superman? Unfortunately, she would never get an answer to that question.
Flash stood with his mouth open, holding popcorn a centimeter from his mouth, not rushing to eat it. Blinking, he approached Clark and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Listen, Kent, can your punches disperse the clouds?" he asked, unable to phrase the question more correctly.
"I'm not sure," replied Superman. He knew his limits well, and after thinking it over, he came to the conclusion that Saitama was much stronger than him. He understood that in a battle with Vaccine Man, he would have a hard time, considering the radius of destruction he had caused to the city. But even so, he was glad that among the people of the world he had been shown, there was someone capable of defeating such monsters.
"Did he kill him?" Green Lantern said, a little uncertainly. As the bearer of the green ring, he could not resort to murder, no matter who it was. Yes, he understood that it was a necessity, as he couldn't imagine where he could persuade Vaccine — whose essence, as he said, embodies the desire to destroy humanity — not to destroy him. Hell, he even put himself in Saitama's shoes and came to a disappointing conclusion.
The others heard his words and frowned, but what struck everyone was Batman's words:
"It was necessary." This caused shock and disbelief on the part of the league. Batman, the one who refused to kill even the most terrible criminals, the one who was even willing to lend a hand if it meant bringing the villain back to the right path, had just held Saitama...
The Guardian of Gotham continued: "We must not forget that this is another world, and judging by what we have seen earlier, their level of development is similar to ours. I have considered several scenarios, and murder is the only effective option."
His Green Lantern frowned but did not argue, and like the others, they trusted Batman's analytical abilities, so they silently agreed with him.
Universe: A Tale of the End of the World.
The gods could only stare blankly at the screen. Some gods growled quietly, as they agreed with Wanzinaman that humans were parasites and it was high time to get rid of them. But then Saitama appeared and simply shattered all their expectations. The very idea that a human being was capable of killing such a powerful creature with a single blow left a bad taste in the mouths of most of the proud gods.
Zeus, on the other hand, was in a good mood. He liked Saitama's strength and his behavior. He found him quite amusing. And Vaccine's death did not affect him. He was curious to see what would happen next.
"He would make the gods burst with rage," the Valkyrie said dreamily. It's a pity that it's impossible to take someone through the screen. Saitama, with his strength, could already compete with most gods, and even with Zeus himself.
Brunhilda's hand passed through the screen when she tried to touch him. Clenching her hand into a fist, she barked irritably, "Why can't I grab you from there?!" But then she quickly calmed down. There was no point in getting angry, especially when the gods were enraged by Saitama's unprecedented power.
Meanwhile, Adam looked at the screen with a proud smile. Even though the people on the screen were from another world, he still considered them his children. And he was genuinely happy when that purple monster was defeated. He understood Vaccine-Man's motives, but he considered his methods wrong.
"I'm so glad there's someone there who can protect them," Adam's wife, and therefore the mother of humanity, sighed with relief. Watching your children being killed is really hard. He saw how terrified she was when Vaccine Man started approaching the girl. She screamed for her to run away, sincerely forgetting that the screen was not designed for that.
Smiling encouragingly, he hugged his wife and began to stroke her back. She really needed it.
