ISOBEL
I walked out from the dining room and through the quiet hallway that made my footsteps echo loudly against the floor but I didn't care if I was making myself the canter of attention as my mind was still on what happened in the dining room.
The tension was very obvious, and it was hard to ignore, especially when we were not speaking, and the way he looked at me made my skin feel hot like it was on fire.
And Ophelia…the thought of her made me feel so uneasy that I had to wrap my arms around myself to try to shake the unease that I felt through out my body.
She had never treated me with anything other than coldness or hatred, so why now? Why did she suddenly invite me to dinner and act like she cared?
I didn't believe it. No matter how I tried to convince myself that she had changed, I just couldn't believe it.
People like Ophelia didn't do anything without a reason, and I knew that she was up to something but I couldn't tell what exactly she had in mind.
