I didn't trust Ophelia and that was already established but when she called me into her office and calmly told me that I would be leaving the pack for a short trip with Mason, my suspicions grew further.
I stood in front of her desk, and I gripped the side of my dress to stop my hands from shaking. "Why do you want me to go? He's an Alpha and I'm an Omega, we have nothing in common." I said.
Ophelia smiled and though it looked like she was being polite, I knew that there was something hiding under that smile. "It's just a simple thing that Mason needs to handle, and I think it would be good for you two to spend time together. You're siblings, are you not?"
"Step siblings," I corrected because for some reason, it didn't feel right to call us siblings.
She smiled, "It doesn't matter,"
