Chapter 1 - King's initiation

King was sitting in his room. "Where is he?" King wondered. He was waiting for Saitama to show so they could play this new game. "MHA? I wonder what it's about?" King really did want to wait for Saitama. However it was a new game, and King is a dedicated gamer. His heart pounded, initiating the King Engine.

King decided due to excitement, that he could no longer wait, so he pops in the game. The title glistened across his screen in a dazzling affects as he heard Deku Midoriya's voice acclaim...

"Here's the sad truth. Not all men are created equal. When I was 4, I learned that some kids have more powers than others. But that won't hold me back. If anything, that pushed me to do better. I'm just an ordinary kid. I wanted to be like All-might so badly, but i couldn't. I almost gave up on my dream. Even though my brain said, I'd never be one, my heart never gave up. With the help of my friends, I am here today. My dream is becoming a reality! Though I had setbacks, I kept pushing forward! My journey is just beginning. This is the story about how i became the world's greatest Hero!"

King knew his pain, after all, He is also powerless, weak, yet everyone calls him the strongest hero! "Very nice storyline kid." King mused to himself. "I know your pain, very well." King watched Deku try and stop the sludge monster, and other cutscenes. King watched All-Might give Deku Midoriya a piece of his hair, telling him to eat it.

Suddenly, without warning, or notice, King's screened flashed a bright light, emanating the room. King awoke lying on a bench in the city. "What? Where am I?" He asks, puzzled, looking around. "This looks like a dystopian version of City A. King walked around, looking happy no one instantly knew or recognized who he was.

King walks into a video game store, looking to window shop. King grabs a game, analyzing he's never played this game. This is a first for King. Suddenly he hears, "Give me all the cash lady and make it snappy!" A buff man, holding his finger out, and pointed it to the ceiling. His fingers were shaped like a sideways L, as it gleamed and shot an energy ball at the ceiling as the roof broke apart, crumbling, falling towards the onlookers.

"Now you know I mean business!" The guy said once more. Crap. Why does this always happen to me! King cried in his head. His heart spiked. THUMP, THUMP, THUMP, THUMP. The robber looked around. "Crap what the hell? Mt Lady found me? But there's no way. If she got close, she'd crush everyone in here. Does that mean there's another hero?"

"SHOW YOURSELF!" He exclaimed as only King now stood. His legs were shaking. "So another hero came? You think you can beat me?" He barked towards King. Crap. Crap. Crap Saitama hurry! King saw no savior coming. It this how I die? I'm only human King whispered under his breath, but loud enough for the robber.

Only human? Shit. He knows I'm using a device to act like I have powers. His analytical skills are insane. The robber held his fingers to King. Something like knowing that won't stop me! King laughs, due to fear, not mockery. This type of thing happens out of impulse, and for King it happened quite often.

The Robber shot at king, but due to Kings heartbeat thumping at the perfect time, the robber shot above King's head, hitting one of those security mirrors. The light refracted and bounced from the mirror back to the robber leaving him in a paralyzed state.

The entire shop cheered. "Who are you?" One of the shoppers asked. "You are a hero!" The female cashier stated. "You were scoping him, waiting to see if he was a target and then abruptly finished him! I didn't even see you move!"

King just wanted out. He didn't want this attention. This reminded him of how he started in his own hometown. Some octopus monster scratched him, and everyone gave him the credit for beating some 'A' Class monster.

Principal Nezu was in the area, scoping for new teachers as he saw the whole thing. A guy unfazed and easily taking on a B-class Criminal! "That's who I should get!" Nezu approached the store and talked to King. King took a look at him. What is he supposed to be part mouse, dog, and bear?

"Excuse me! Principal Nezu of U.A. High School speaking!" The creature took in the unconscious villain, the cheering civilians, and King's expression of a man attending his own funeral. "My word. Instantaneous counter via environmental reflection with zero collateral damage. And that intimidation factor! Splendid!"

Nezu produced a business card from nowhere. "We're looking for a new combat training instructor for Class 1-A. The pay is excellent, and the faculty benefits package includes—"

"Not interested," King croaked.

"—a dedicated gaming lounge featuring a 98-inch 8K OLED, every console ever released (yes, even the PC-FX), a custom MAME cabinet with every ROM known to man, fiber-optic 10-gig symmetrical internet, and a private satellite dish

How could any gamer, especially King, say no! "Okay, it's just teaching, right?"
