If he were on the ground, or in some deserted place, Zhou Yi could try more methods to eliminate it.
Whether it was using flames of 30,000 degrees Celsius to scorch it, or using a highly focused, ten times hotter heat ray to wear it down bit by bit, Zhou Yi had ways to deal with it. At the very least, he could use Psychic Power to wrap the monster and launch it out of Earth entirely. He didn't believe it could survive in the vacuum of space without any energy source.
However, the crux of the matter was that this monster was currently with him and hundreds of innocent humans, inside a large metal can flying at 20,000 feet in the air. For the safety of those hundreds of humans, the effective methods he could think of were useless.
If he were to use his high-powered abilities here, everyone on the plane would be in danger. Both the ultra-high temperature flames and the heat ray ability would cause great damage to this airborne giant. The power of these two abilities was so great that even his own Psychic Power defense couldn't withstand them. Just a little release could leave a huge wound on this behemoth.
And other methods were not very effective against this vampire monster named Yasa, especially pure physical damage.
In the encirclement of wreckage, the giant Yasa was still stubbornly alive, its body tissues had overflowed into a distorted shape. A mixture of muscle, bone, and even blood vessels and nerves had filled every corner of the wreckage, even spreading to the cracks. They were still desperately pushing outwards, fiercely resisting Zhou Yi's Psychic Power.
This resistance was extremely powerful, making Zhou Yi feel somewhat strained when using his Psychic Power. Although his Psychic Power wasn't particularly strong compared to physical strength, it still had dozens to nearly a hundred tons of kinetic energy in operation. That it made him feel strained meant that the monster's body had mutated to a terrifying degree.
However, strained was just strained; it didn't represent more. Completely releasing his spirit, Zhou Yi was outputting his Psychic Power with all his might. Yasa's changes had already shocked him; he had to do his best to eliminate it before it changed even more.
The object, composed of wreckage, began to tremble under the combined force from both sides, especially the metal within, which had long since begun to make unbearable noises. But Zhou Yi didn't care, still applying immense pressure. The entire wreckage collapsed inward again, squeezing the monster Yasa's last remaining space, in a way.
The monster's screams and wails emanated from this cage. As the cage gradually compressed, its shrieks also began to change. From merely unpleasant, they became ear-splitting, and many passengers involuntarily covered their ears. But it was useless; the sound was still piercing and seemed to penetrate everywhere.
Many people felt a stinging pain in their brains. This pain didn't seem to be a stimulus from the ears, but a deeper, direct stimulation of the brain's senses. Those with sensitive senses began to bleed from their noses; their brains had already suffered minor trauma.
Zhou Yi also felt this stimulation, and it made him even more astonished. He knew the essence of this power very well; it was the essence of Psychic Power, the fluctuating spiritual energy that was leaking out. It seemed to be out of control due to the pain. The monster had awakened its psychic abilities, but couldn't control them precisely, only allowing them to dissipate. And even the dissipated spiritual energy fluctuations were enough to harm ordinary humans.
This wasn't the first time he had felt the monster evolving. However, Zhou Yi was still surprised. In such a short time, merely because of external pressure, it had undergone three passive mutations and evolutions. This creature was terrifying to the extreme. Just imagine what would happen if this creature were allowed to develop further. Perhaps it would be the end of all other creatures.
The Great Makinos had no idea what kind of monster he had actually cultivated. This monster was completely beyond his control. In the end, he had merely opened a door to hell.
He couldn't allow this thing to keep mutating. Zhou Yi clenched his hand tightly. The monster Yasa was still resisting, but it could no longer hold on. It was like crushing an egg with force; when all resistance vanished, its internal destruction would come.
The cage, composed of wreckage, suddenly collapsed. The creature's organic tissues flowed out through the cracks in the collapsing wreckage, and more of it spread out like a puddle of mud. It not only submerged most of the wreckage but also spread to the middle of the cabin. It was hard to imagine that so much stuff had grown out of a creature the size of a person.
This thing was disgusting to look at, yet reassuring. It seemed completely devoid of any possibility of life.
Just from Zhou Yi's observation, the vampire's brain and heart were completely pulverized. They were mixed entirely with other bodily tissues, including other vital organs, which were also in a similar state. One could say that all that remained on the ground was a pile of rotten flesh, a mixture of brain matter, entrails, bones, muscles, and even nerves. Such a thing could hardly be called a living organism.
It had no consciousness to govern itself, not even the basic structure of a biological being. Because of this, it was essentially dead.
Despite the unpleasant sight on the ground, cheers erupted from the crowd behind. They sincerely thanked the Dawn Knight. If it weren't for his appearance, no one wanted to imagine what such a monster might have done on a plane carrying hundreds of people. Just the thought of it was enough to make them feel cold and numb.
The feeling of idol worship stimulated the passengers' hearts, and many of them were young and impulsive. Soon, someone overcame their fear of the monster on the ground and ran towards Zhou Yi. The thought of taking a photo with the Dawn Knight immediately after he defeated the terrifying monster gave this young man an overwhelming impulse.
He got closer and closer to his idol, and with his approach, an invisible force spread out, like a stone dropped into water, causing ripples. But these ripples turned into a huge wave.
The moment this invisible force began to fluctuate, Zhou Yi already sensed it. The source of the power, however, was unbelievable to him. The power originated from the monster on the ground. It wasn't from a single component with an individual thought, but rather from the extremely chaotic, every corner of its body tissues. This was Psychic Power, materialized, but it wasn't ordinary Psychic Power. It was like a whole made up of countless existences.
It felt as if, with Yasa's consciousness gone, every part of his body, every tissue, every component, had its own consciousness. These consciousnesses also had a unified goal and way of thinking, and they all possessed Psychic Power. These scattered Psychic Powers, though individually very subtle, were extremely resilient. When they came together, they possessed a terrifying attribute: tenacity. It was like sand. Although small, it couldn't be ground into powder by fingers. And when they gathered to form a handful of sand, no matter how humans exerted force on them, their essence wouldn't change. They were just sand.
Currently, the biological structure of these creatures is like a handful of sand, sand with its own will and collective consciousness. Their thoughts are simple, merely the instincts of a creature, and feeding is one of the most basic instincts.
The approach of the human worshippers triggered its most primal biological instinct. Severely wounded, it urgently needed to feed to replenish its energy. Therefore, facing the humans rushing towards it, countless conscious entities formed a unified operational command.
A tendril-like or spider-silk-like Flesh Mixture shot out from the mud on the ground. Its speed was extremely fast, and at the thinnest tip, there was even a sharp sound breaking through the air, the sound of tearing through the sound barrier. This proved that its speed had already exceeded Supersonic. And its target was clear, a food source that had delivered itself.
Zhou Yi subconsciously used his Psychic Power field to protect this reckless fellow. The Psychic Power field blocked the Flesh Mixture, but it didn't work. The Psychic Power field was easily pierced. Strictly speaking, it wasn't a piercing; Zhou Yi didn't feel his Psychic Power being shattered. In his perception, it felt more like being neutralized. His Psychic Power seemed to resonate with the collective fluctuations emitted by countless subtle psychic energies, completely losing its physical kinetic energy. Therefore, the Flesh Mixture still pounced towards the food in its perception.
Zhou Yi hurriedly withdrew his Psychic Power to pull the person away, but he was still a step too late. He didn't completely dodge it. Although Zhou Yi had pulled him to the side a step, the tendril-like Flesh Mixture still hit his shoulder.
The tiny tip, moving at Supersonic speeds, immediately tore through his fragile bodily defenses, piercing through his entire shoulder. He stared at the scene in disbelief, just as he was about to shout, he found that the Flesh Mixture, which had pierced into his body, began to pulse rhythmically. Through its thin fascia tissue, even blood and some fluids could be seen flowing rapidly. And the thing pinned in his body was, in a strange sensation, slowly seeping into his body.
This situation shocked him to the point of losing his mind; he didn't even know whether to scream or do something else. All his thoughts seemed to fall silent in the tingling sensation in his shoulder. Fortunately, he had other people around him.
Zhou Yi had already rushed to his side, looking at the thing that had pierced deep into this fellow's body. Zhou Yi didn't dare to pull it out carelessly. Perhaps with one tug, he would pull out an organ of unknown origin. So, he directly drew his Adamantium spearhead and severed the Flesh Mixture from where it made contact with the skin.
The instant he severed the thing, the entire pile of flesh mixture shuddered violently. Invisible psychic power waves intensely stimulated everyone's nerves. The severed tentacle tip desperately burrowed towards the injured creature. Even separated from the body, it still possessed its own independent consciousness. This alone demonstrated its threat.
This terrifying monster.
