"I've been waiting for you. Dawn Knight!"
Zhou Yi tilted his head, curious. "You seemed to have anticipated this. I'm curious, how did you know I'd intercept you?"
"You underestimate us Vampires," Yasa said calmly, as if he wasn't facing an insurmountable opponent. "We've existed in this country for centuries. Our influence extends everywhere, and we have more allies than you imagine."
"Traitors among humans!" Zhou Yi frowned, a look of disgust on his face. There are always those in positions of power who exploit their authority for personal gain, and these people often don't care if their trading partners are human.
Yasa bared his fangs and smiled. "That's you humans, isn't it? Filthy and base. As long as a little bit of profit trickles out from the cracks, they'll swarm like dogs wagging their tails."
"I have no interest in discussing human flaws with you. As a pawn of the Grand Machinos, you have no right to say that," Zhou Yi said, raising his hand, pointing at Yasa. "Tell me, where did the Grand Machinos have you place the thing? Be honest, and I can at least guarantee a painless death."
Yasa bared his fangs. "Dawn Knight, do you think I'm some kind of coward who fears death? I swear on my life, you won't leave this Airplane before sunrise."
"Then die, and blame it on being a Vampire."
Having already searched the entire Airplane, Zhou Yi was almost certain that the so-called dangerous substance was most likely on Yasa. Turning him to ash directly and then searching was the same. Therefore, already impatient, he emitted dazzling light from his palm.
The light from the sun was the most deadly existence for Vampires. The ashes of countless Vampires had proven this, but now an exception appeared.
The light shone on Yasa, but it didn't turn him to ashes. Instead, unpredictable changes occurred.
It was as if a plant was unfurling under the sun's rays. His body also began to unfurl. Layers of skin and muscle burned under the light, but even more organic tissue was spreading and growing. The speed was unbelievably fast, almost to the point where Yasa's changes could be seen with the naked eye.
His body gradually grew taller, and all his clothes were torn apart by the newly grown muscles. Strictly speaking, it wasn't muscles. Instead, it was swollen, lumpy organic tissue, piled up one piece after another. This organic tissue did not grow according to the standard arrangement of the human body structure, but rather, disregarding everything, it wildly surged and filled every corner it could reach.
Soon, Yasa's form changed. A swollen, terrifying, three-meter-tall monster with cracked skin, leaving only red tendons covering his entire body, barely maintaining a human form. A monster mutated from a Vampire, spurred by sunlight.
Just like the monster's huge size, the tendons all over his body were not for show, but rather, they contained astonishing power. A slight wave of his hand could be seen twisting and deforming the metal seats upon contact, no more difficult than breaking a biscuit. And when he took a step, the entire cabin floor trembled slightly, as if it could collapse at any moment.
Such a monster on an Airplane was the last thing anyone, especially the passengers and Zhou Yi, wanted to see. At the moment of Yasa's transformation, the crowd that had been watching the spectacle erupted in screams and shouts, with a couple of the less mentally stable individuals even fainting.
"Just like this, Dawn Knight, you didn't expect this, did you? I am the dangerous thing," Yasa roared at Zhou Yi, ignoring the passengers. His voice was muffled, with hints of panting and a growl. It was hard to believe that a guy whose head was nearly bursting from the strange body tissue could even speak, but he did, and he clearly expressed his will.
"The master's experiment has succeeded. The sun can no longer harm us, it will become our source of power. Vampires will ultimately become the masters of humanity."
"You're dreaming, and you'll only get to dream until dawn," Zhou Yi replied coldly, assuming a stance against the monster in front of him. "I will personally eliminate you!"
"Come and try!" Yasa laughed maniacally. "We're 20,000 feet in the air. What do you think will happen if you use your precious Supersonic Attack here? Or, maybe you could guess how many internal supersonic shockwaves this Airplane can withstand."
Zhou Yi turned his head to look around, and Medusa's analytical data appeared before his eyes. Using Supersonic Attack here, even if it hit its target, the resulting shockwaves would deform the fuselage. And for an Airplane that relied on its streamlined body to maintain stable flight, the implications of fuselage deformation were obvious.
Seeing Zhou Yi's hesitation, Yasa laughed.
"You're starting to hesitate? For these humans? But I won't."
He extended an arm that resembled a pillar. With a forceful clench of his thick palm, five foot-long, pale claws sprang from between his fingers. The claws were hooked like a beast's, and their glossy sheen indicated an exceptionally dense texture.
Yasa swung his arm without hesitation, the claws tearing through the surrounding seats as if they were paper. He flung the heavy objects towards Zhou Yi, completely disregarding whether he would hit. Even if Dawn Knight dodged, the deadly projectiles could still strike the passengers behind him or tear open the surrounding walls.
Zhou Yi, of course, wouldn't allow him to harm the passengers behind him or the walls. Facing the projectiles, he extended a palm, and his Psychic Power erupted.
Psychic Power was a manifestation of powerful mental strength, the conversion of mental energy, exceeding the boundaries of matter, into kinetic energy. This power was indescribable and unfathomable. Furthermore, the strength of the kinetic energy generated was entirely dependent on the user's mental scope. The greater the mind, the greater the power.
Zhou Yi wasn't a great man capable of shaking the world with his thoughts, but his Psychic Power was still extremely powerful, even among mutants. It was far more potent than Yasa could possibly imagine.
In front of him, the projectiles seemed to enter slow motion. Their speed decreased, as if they were moving through thick oil, until they came to a complete halt less than a meter away from Zhou Yi.
This scene, resembling a magic show, prompted many tourists to pull out their phones and start taking pictures. Yasa, however, let out a low growl and charged forward. He didn't believe Zhou Yi had the energy to control those objects and defend against his attack simultaneously.
His massive body charged forward, his heavy, thundering footsteps creating a frenzied momentum comparable to a charging tank. Large sections of the facilities were smashed to pieces by his casual blows and then scattered haphazardly. Suddenly, it was like being in a battlefield, with a heavy tank approaching head-on while surrounded by a storm of gunfire.
Watching the charging giant, Yasa, Zhou Yi once again expanded his Psychic Power, holding all the flying debris suspended in mid-air. Then, he swung his arms together.
The language of his limbs represented how he used his Psychic Power. All the objects that had been frozen seemed to be manipulated by invisible hands. They gathered together, like a giant palm, and fiercely grabbed at the oncoming giant.
Yasa roared loudly, his huge arms flailing wildly, smashing again and again against the giant palm. The already battered remnants and fragments scattered into even smaller pieces under his violent attacks, but these fragments did not fly away. Instead, they continued to advance with the propulsion of the Psychic Power.
Yasa could block the larger objects, but he couldn't stop the tiny fragments. Countless fragments pierced into his body like bullets. This feeling, as if countless needles were piercing his body, made the giant Yasa scream in pain.
However, no one would sympathize with his screams. The power of pain couldn't stop the advancement of the Psychic Power. Soon, not only the small fragments, but also the huge, heavy objects began to squeeze towards him.
The giant Yasa had nowhere to retreat; he was surrounded by these things that kept squeezing in. He desperately stretched his body, whether he punched and kicked or used other parts of his body to push and collide, it was all useless. The surrounding space was squeezed little by little, and the area he could move in became smaller and smaller.
Even though his body tissue was harder than steel, it was still insufficient in the face of such pressure. Large piles of things had been squeezed into his flesh and blood, and more things were following suit. From the perspective of the passengers in the distance, the giant Yasa looked as if he had been hit by tons of cargo poured out of a suspended container, a miserable sight to behold.
The sound of wailing came continuously, never ceasing. Zhou Yi didn't know if this could kill the giant Yasa, but he was still working hard. He freed one hand and continued to make a clenched fist gesture. The Psychic Power was still exerting pressure on those heavy objects.
The piled-up wreckage had completely buried the giant Yasa. Twisted by Psychic Power, the debris squeezed inward, filling every corner of the encirclement, forming a semi-spherical shape from a distance. At the center of the sphere was the Vampire giant, crushed and contorted beyond recognition.
Humans couldn't see the inside, but Zhou Yi could. His body was bent into a grotesque shape. Large swaths of bone and muscle were completely mashed together in the crushing pressure, forming a strange, pulverized mixture. Even his head was not intact; a piece of hard metal had crushed his skull and ground into his cranial cavity. It was certain that his brain was absolutely no longer whole.
Even in such a miserable state, he was not dead. His organic tissues were working rapidly, expanding and contracting with each breath. An organic cellular substance was constantly repairing and reorganizing within his remains. Although this reorganization and repair were completely flawed, it was indeed happening.
Zhou Yi's brow furrowed deeply. Yasa, who had become a Grand Machinos experiment, had completely transformed into a monster like Chadnoma, possessing a terrifying regenerative ability of the same lineage. What made him even more dangerous than Chadnoma was that he had lost his most obvious weakness – the sun. In fact, the sun had become a factor that stimulated their growth.
Such a monster was far more troublesome than imagined.
