Eve of the Day — Empire Mansion
Mr Kamen: (Approaching the foyer) I will return in the morning.
Azenor: (Whispers) Your dad seems to be going somewhere.
Tiberius: Hm? {Gifts? For whom?} 😱 No!
Azenor: Ah! You scared me💢.
Tiberius instantly runs towards his dad.
Tiberius: Daddy, can you not go this time? I… I want to be tucked to bed. He will make you forget me, he will—
Mr Kamen's cold glare freezes him.
Mr Kamen: Let him finish intermediate quizzes. If he fails any, reduce his dinner portion.
Butlers: Yes, Sir.
Mr Kamen exits with his bodyguards.
Azenor: {Geez 😱, that was terrifying.}
Tiberius immediately rushes out of the scene, trying to hold back his tears.
Azenor: (To Tiberius) Hey, wait! … (Sighs).

The Next Evening
Yancy: (Walking down the pavement) So whatcha got?
Caller (Elise): In summary from intel—Mr Kamen is indifferent to both genders.
Yancy: Yeah, I noticed. Anything else?
Caller (Elise): Oh boy… apart from that… he's gay.
Yancy: (Halts) Sorry—what?
The background fades into Mr Kamen's study. Yancy's memory echoes.
Memory (Elise): According to info, your client changed sexuality after the incident with his former wife.
Yancy Wil's eyes flick towards Mr Kamen's piercing gaze.
Yancy: [Oh shoot.]

A few minutes pass.
Yancy: … apart from that, everything else is fine. (Rises to his feet) 😄 That is all for the report, Sir. If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave.
Mr Kamen: Hm.
Yancy Wil approaches the door…
Mr Kamen: Is—that—all? (Glances at Yancy Wil)
Yancy: {Pipers! Last time he asked if I knew what type of human speciality he was. I didn't quite understand then, but now…}
Mr Kamen: Or you…?
Yancy: (Turns to him) I appreciate the opportunity, sir. I am here for the job, and I am bound by oath to it. As you are aware, it is the Falcon Watch Association that assigned you—or rather, your son—to me, so I've no other motive than to complete my contracted period diligently and efficiently.
Mr Kamen's stare brings a moment of silence.
Mr Kamen: Dismiss.
Yancy: Yes, Sir.
Yancy Wil leaves just as the Head Butler enters.
Mr Kamen: Did I not ask for an elite nanny?
Head Butler: Do forgive me for saying so, sir; however, it was the Falcon Watch Association that assigned Gentleman Maarschalkerweerd, stating that he meets our requirements.
Mr Kamen: Cancel his contract.
Head Butler: That is most unachievable, Sir. The contract has already been signed, and there can be no withdrawal of agreement until the end of the stipulated period—unless there is a threat to the client's well-being.
Mr Kamen closes his eyes in thought, then reopens them.
Mr Kamen: (Emotionless) Let his blood be upon your hand if he dares to misbehave.
Head Butler: I have pledged as much already, Sir.
Oh no, it seems Gentleman Maarschalkerweerd is in a wild jungle indeed.

Some other day — Through the Garden
Yancy: (Exhales) It's been more than a week now. Things are still the same. Mr Vajezatha acting like a ghost, Tiberius being indifferent, Azenor playing pranks on me. {Her last prank almost cost me my little finger 😢 (glances at his finger)} 😊 I think they like me.
Meanwhile, behind a garden bush, Maid Bethany is being bullied. Just as the maids attempt to lay more hands on her, Yancy Wil steps in to shield her.
The maids leave.
Yancy: Are you alright?
Maid Bethany: (Silent)
Yancy: {No reply.} Here— (pulls his coat) wear my c—
Maid Bethany: (Devastated) No! This is all your fault! Just stay away from me!
She pushes Yancy Wil onto the grass and tries to run away in tears, but Yancy catches her hand just in time.
Yancy: Wait! I don't understand…!
Maid Bethany: 😭💢 Leave me alone!
Yancy: No, please.
He quickly hugs her.
Yancy: (Softly) Please.
Maid Bethany: 😭
Yancy: Please don't run.
The crying maid hugs him back, and Yancy Wil kisses her forehead
in consolation.
Unbeknownst to them, Mr Kamen watches the entire scene from his study, his eyes narrowing.
