Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 Things Have Been Turbulent Lately

In an abandoned West Bayron shipyard, the battle between Marich, a member of the "Temperance" faction of the "Rose School," and Jason, the "Womb," and Tyrell, the "Werewolf," of the "Indulgence" faction, begins.

Maric, who had been on the run, suddenly turned around, pulled out a black revolver, and fired six shots at Jason and Tyrell.

At first, when they saw the revolver, the two "indulgence" members didn't take it too seriously. Both the "zombies" and the "werewolfs" had excellent defensive capabilities, and ordinary pistol bullets couldn't even penetrate their skin.

But the moment the bullets were fired, they were all stunned and instinctively dodged, because what came out of the revolver were six small fireballs!

Marich was primarily attacking the "werewolf" Tyrell. Because of the close proximity, three bullets hit the "werewolf," engulfing his entire upper body in flames, instantly igniting his clothes and body hair.

Marich's left fingernails, which were not holding a gun, suddenly grew longer, and he lunged forward, piercing Tyre's chest.

Jason rushed to the rescue, only to find that Marich's pistol had been replaced by a pure white scepter, weakening all three people present.

With a flick of his wrist, Marich unleashed a "Purifying Slash" that struck Jason, leaving a deep, golden wound on his chest.

The golden color vanished, turning into a charred black. Jason's face grew even paler, and he took two steps back. The "Purifying Slash" had a certain restraining effect on him.

But he also knew that he had to rescue Tyre at all costs, so he endured the excruciating pain and continued forward.

At that moment, a figure appeared in his eyes, wearing a black court dress, with light golden hair and a delicate face.

That's Sharon, the "vengeful spirit"!

Jason was possessed! He grabbed his own neck tightly.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Marich dug out Tyre's heart, which was the "werewolf's" only weakness.

The flames on Tyr's body were gradually diminishing. He clutched his chest in terror, feeling his power rapidly fading away.

At this moment, the red accessory on Tyre's body caught the attention of Sharon, Maritch, and Klein!

Tyre's clothes were almost completely burned, but the exquisite ornament was undamaged. It was shaped like a full moon, surrounded by black and red gemstones, with a symbol of the moon and many mysterious markings in the center.

That's the "Crimson Moon Corona"!

None of the three, including Klein, expected that the enemy would allow the lowest-ranking Tyr to wield this sealed artifact.

But then they realized that this was indeed quite surprising.

According to the previous plan, Sharon was definitely going to "possess" Jason, who was in Sequence 6, while Marich would block Tyrell's support and besiege Jason.

At this point, Tyr can use the "Crimson Moon Crown" to weaken both Sharon and Marich. The enemy's Sequence 5 "Wraith" will definitely take advantage of this opportunity to launch an attack, which will put Sharon's side in a very passive position.

Fortunately, Klein witnessed the power of the "Flaming Arrow" and the scepter last night and rented them from the "Hermit".

Klein's thinking was simple: Jason, the "living corpse," was not afraid of fire, but he would instinctively dodge the bullets of "Flaming Arrow."

Since Marich doesn't possess the ability to use fire, and he has never used this extraordinary weapon before, Jason will definitely want to take a quick look at the weapon in Marich's hand first.

This created an opportunity to kill Tyre!

So they changed their plans on the spot, and Marich used the two magical items to try to kill Tyre first.

The actual combat went more smoothly than planned. "Flaming Arrow" would not cause any substantial damage to a Sequence 6, but for a Sequence 7 Tyr, it would block his vision and affect his judgment for two or three seconds.

Another unexpected thing for them was that the "Crimson Moon Crown" was actually in Tyre!

Marich charged forward to seize the "Crimson Moon Crown," but Klein suddenly fired a shot at the ground not far from Marich.

The "Enchanted Bullet" forced Steve, the "Wraith" who was about to possess Marich, out of the open space.

Marich rushed forward and tried to hold Steve back.

Klein then used a "flame leap" to jump to the side of the "werewolf" Tyr, who was not yet completely extinguished, and obtained the "Crimson Moon Crown".

The battle that followed was pretty much a foregone conclusion. Klein weakened Steve and Jason, the two enemies, and Sharon first sent Jason into the "Gateway to the Underworld".

Then the three of them attacked Steve. Although the "vengeful spirit" had a magical item, it was to no avail, and he was quickly and completely killed.

Klein obtained a wealth of spoils from this battle.

While cleaning up the battlefield, Marich handed the scepter, the "Flaming Arrow," and £120 in cash that had been prepared beforehand to Klein: "I must say, this is a very worthwhile deal."

He asked Klein, "Can I buy 'Flaming Arrow'?"

He didn't like that scepter very much because it would weaken him when he used it.

Klein said, "I'll ask around for you."

...

In the early morning, Odis stretched vigorously, feeling refreshed and energetic, and prepared to go out to find a coffee shop for breakfast.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

But as soon as they arrived at the shop in front, someone knocked on the door.

Odis glanced at his pocket watch. It was only a little past seven, and someone had already come to buy herbs?

When I opened the door, it was Max.

The "Mechanical Heart" squad leader, with his sharply defined facial features, observed Odis for a few seconds before smiling and saying, "You look quite well."

"It's alright." Odis gave a wry smile: "The promotion process was indeed more dangerous than I imagined."

He knew that his good friend had come to check on him.

Max handed Odis a leather bag: "Just bought red bean toast."

"Perfect timing, I was just thinking about how to solve the breakfast problem." Odis poked the stove, boiled some water, and chatted with his good friend while grinding coffee.

"Backlund has been rather turbulent lately." Max took out a cigarette, lit it, and said, "Another extraordinary battle took place in the dock area yesterday."

With a cigarette between his fingers, he closed the shop door with the other: "Captain Ikonser paid a considerable 'price' to learn that it was a battle within the 'Rose School'."

"Among them appeared a woman with light blonde hair, wearing a black court dress; a man who could manipulate corpses and seemed to have a layer of black hair on his body; and a man with face paint on his face and wearing a double-breasted long dress."

Odis continued making coffee without pausing: "Do you have a portrait?"

"You may not know this, but Sequence 7 of this pathway has a very strong anti-divination ability." Max smiled helplessly. "Especially that man with the paint on; even if we used the sealing artifact, we couldn't see any specific information such as his hair color or height."

Of course you can't see it!

Odis thought to himself: Since Captain Ikonser paid the price, the sealing artifact you used must be the "Mirror of Arodes". This guy is the henchman of "The Fool". Even without the interference of "Above the Gray Fog", he would not have been able to give you any useful information!
