Chapter 44 - The Unstoppable Ability

"Too... too strong! Is this the level of a Floor Master's battle?"

Looking at the ring, which was now unrecognizable from the damage, Zushi stood up excitedly, his body trembling slightly and uncontrollably.

Especially the terrifying destructive power demonstrated by Valenza when he swallowed the four Philosopher's Stones simultaneously and transformed into an elemental giant, coupled with the seemingly effortless way Allen dispatched him, gave Zushi a completely new understanding of Nen.

Nen could be this powerful, even surpassing human limits and allowing the user to transform into a completely different life form.

Sitting beside him, Wing's expression was unusually serious, unlike his usual smiling demeanor. He spoke in a very low voice, "Valenza the Alchemist, a descendant of an ancient Alchemist family, a Specialization Nen user who could simultaneously manipulate the power of the four great elements—Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. He was definitely one of the strongest Floor Masters. However, the truly terrifying thing is the Transmutation ability used by this boy named Allen in this match..."

"Wing-sensei! What is Allen's true ability?" Zushi asked, full of curiosity.

"Judging from the fight, he first converted water into hot steam, then immediately converted the hot steam into ice, and finally converted the ice back into water, which seems to be related to manipulating water molecules. But the problem is, that large mass of pale-blue liquid he created out of thin air was clearly not just plain water, as ordinary water cannot have such a low temperature. Therefore, I cannot make a definitive judgment right now. But one thing is certain: his ability is nearly impossible to completely defend against." Wing narrowed his eyes and analyzed seriously.

"Impossible to defend against?" Zushi looked confused.

Being less than twelve years old, he had never even heard of relatively complex and technical terms like "humidity" or "moisture content."

Wing undoubtedly understood this and calmly pushed up his glasses to explain, "Zushi, have you ever noticed in your daily life?

"Often, when you're near the seaside, a lake, or before the sun rises in the morning, the air feels particularly heavy with moisture when you breathe.

"Conversely, when you are near dry regions or in desert areas, the air feels extremely dry when you breathe.

"This is because the air we breathe every day actually contains a large amount of water molecules.

"Imagine if Allen's ability really is to manipulate water molecules, then he is effectively controlling your very breathing.

"He could instantly convert the moisture in the air you've drawn into your lungs, windpipe, nose, and mouth into scalding hot steam or ice below freezing.

"These fragile internal human organs cannot withstand such drastic temperature changes, leading to frostbite and necrosis.

"Furthermore, the alveoli in the lungs, which facilitate the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide, once extensively damaged, will lead to slow suffocation and death."

After hearing this explanation, beads of sweat instantly broke out on Zushi's forehead. He spoke in a slightly trembling voice, "So, unless someone can survive without breathing and squeeze all the air out of their lungs, they stand absolutely no chance against Allen."

"Exactly. Of course, a Specialization Nen user capable of rapidly healing their injuries might have a slim chance. In any case, his strength has far surpassed the level of Heavens Arena's Floor Masters. Let's go. I imagine the Floor Masters won't be sending him any more challenge requests for a long time."

Having said this, Wing ignored the ordinary audience members who were still cheering and shouting madly. He stood up and led his disciple away, exiting the arena early.

Less than a minute after they left, Killua spoke up. "Gon, did you hear what they said?"

Gon nodded vigorously. "Yeah! Even though I couldn't see it, I could sense it. The power Allen and the Floor Master used in their fight must be that force called Nen."

"It looks like Hisoka, my brother, and Allen are so strong because they've mastered this power. What should we do next? Should we go find Allen, or go find Zushi and his teacher, Wing?" Killua's eyes shone with impatience.

Having grown up under the controlling shadow of Illumi, he yearned for the power to fight his older brother more than anyone.

"Hmm, I think finding Allen is better. We're more familiar with him." Gon, relying on his beast-like intuition, chose the former after a brief thought.

In his opinion, to learn a power he didn't understand, it was only natural to seek out someone who was both familiar and powerful enough.

"OK! Then we'll go find him."

Killua wasted no time, immediately finding a shortcut leading directly to the contestants' tunnel. Using their small stature, they weaved through the crowd and soon blocked Allen's inevitable path.

But shortly after they arrived, they suddenly felt an astonishing wave of malice descend from above, instantly engulfing the entire contestants' tunnel.

The next second...

A dozen figures of varied appearances slowly emerged from the darkness, surrounding Allen and Bodoro.

However, seeing this sight, Allen showed not an ounce of tension or panic. Instead, he couldn't help but smile and ask, "Do you want to stake all your Nen on a match with me too? All you esteemed Floor Masters. Whether it's in the ring or out in the world, I'm ready to play."

"Brat! Don't you think you've gone too far?" one of them challenged aggressively.

"Too far? No. I'm just stating the facts. In reality, your skill level is equivalent to that of B-rank to A-rank wanted criminals on the Hunter website, and your combat awareness and adaptability are far inferior to theirs. How about this: to give you some confidence, starting today, I'll accept 1-on-2 challenge applications. How about it, want to try?" Allen meaningfully proposed a condition that was definitely disadvantageous to himself.

Unfortunately, these Floor Masters were not as brave, or perhaps as foolish, as he had hoped.

After a long pause, not a single one dared to answer. They ultimately retreated shamefully.

Having seen a fraction of Allen's ability and not yet devised a countermeasure, sending any number of people up now would just be feeding him more bodies.

Watching the Floor Masters' retreating figures, Bodoro finally couldn't help but sneer, "These are the Floor Masters who stand above all fighters in Heavens Arena? They don't even have the courage to fight! I'm ashamed to be associated with them!"

Allen shook his head indifferently. "Don't be so harsh. Their choice wasn't wrong. Because, to a certain extent, my level in Nen is far beyond theirs, both in Aura capacity and ability development. Perhaps it's time to leave this place and go out into the wider world to find some formidable targets to hunt."

"Huh? Allen, are you leaving Heavens Arena?"

Gon immediately popped out from the corner upon hearing that statement.

Killua followed closely behind.

However, when Killua saw Bodoro, whom he had once killed, an awkward and ashamed expression crossed his face. He tried to speak several times but ultimately couldn't get the words out.
