Chapter 118: Clean Up

Harry appeared in the middle of a group of giants and trolls. The creatures were busy attacking a large stone wall that someone had transformed as a means of protection.

"That is enough," he said.

Of course, neither the giants nor the trolls listened to him or even realized that he was there.

Harry pointed his finger at one of the giants, the largest one of the group, who was wielding a massive wooden club and using it to hit the wall over and over, taking pieces with every hit.

The giant felt that something was wrong and stopped its assault before turning around. "Human!" the giant shouted the moment it spotted Harry.

"The man who convinced you to come here is now dead," Harry said. He was aware that trying to reason with these giants might be futile, but he wanted to try before leaving more dead bodies behind. "This war is over. Return to where you came from. There is nothing for you here."

"Puny human, die!" The giant charged at him while the other members of the tribe watched with anticipation.

Harry sighed. "That's too bad. I didn't wish to stain my hands further." He focused on the magic in his immediate surroundings, giving it shape and constructing a spell.

A translucent blade appeared out of nowhere and cut the giant's head off before he could reach him.

Its body fell on the spot with a loud thud.

The other giants became startled and looked at each other. However, the remaining trolls were not that hesitant and rushed to attack Harry.

Savage trolls have even lower intelligence than giants, so once they have a target to attack, they will never stop to think twice until their target is dead.

"I said enough!" Harry's voice resonated all over the Great Hall of Hogwarts.

The trolls began to float in the air while making loud grunts that portrayed their confusion.

Harry closed his hand into a fist. The bodies of the six trolls became compressed, as if someone had placed them into one of those powerful hydraulic presses.

Their bones, organs, and muscles became completely crushed in an instant. What remained of the trolls was nothing but large masses of flesh and blood that then fell onto the floor.

"Uhuuu…" The remaining giants froze with fear, staring at Harry with wide eyes.

"I know you understand what I am saying," Harry spoke calmly while looking at them. "One last chance. Leave or die…"

The giants chose to flee with no hesitation this time. The one whom Harry had killed first was their leader, so that was enough to spook them. But then they saw him massacre the trolls and completely lost their will to fight.

"Hmm?" He spotted a few Death Eaters flying above him on their brooms.

Dementors had also been venturing inside the castle through the upper windows.

Some of the members of the Order had been trying to keep them away with their Patronus Charms, but that only served to buy them some time. These dementors were very determined to get past their futile resistance. The creatures had been starving for weeks since they left Azkaban. Now they were desperate for a meal.

Harry flew into the air, intercepting the remaining Death Eaters.

He released a spark of red light that caught them all off guard.

The six masked men had no time to react before Harry's magic began to affect them. They lost control of their bodies and fell onto the distant floor, making some loud crunching noises upon impact.

Harry heard voices down below. The Headmaster, professors, and Order members had finally noticed his presence.

However, he still had one last thing to take care of. A couple of hundred dementors were currently inside the castle. Some of them were nearby, while others still hovered over the towers of Hogwarts.

'There was a time when I was terrified of these beings…' Harry thought. It was so long ago, but the feeling had remained in him.

In fact, dementors would have still been very dangerous to him after leaving the frozen world. He came out of that place with a heavier mental baggage than most, and dementors were specialists in bringing any mental trauma or fear to the surface.

Luckily for him, he had conquered his traumas and no longer had anything to fear from them.

He looked at the dark creatures. His senses had been expanding and improving nonstop since he woke up in Lady Rose's shop. Now he was able to understand the structure of anything that contained magic.

This included not just spells but also magical creatures, like the ones before him.

A group of dementors spotted him and began to approach. They extended their bony hands from beneath their ghostly cloaks and produced chilling sounds.

"Negative emotions, soul fragments, and a magical nucleus located at the center of the chest." Harry could see the composition of a dementor with a single look now.

His eyes pierced through their cloaks and found their weak point. No one had been able to kill one of these beings because they didn't truly understand them.

The dementors floated in front of him, just a few feet away.

Harry could feel the temperature dropping and their mental assault starting.

"That won't work," he spoke in a soft tone. "My mind is too well protected."

The closest dementor let out a cry. Its fingers reached for him. It was starving…desperate to take his soul.

A dozen more dementors began to surround him from all sides.

The dementor's hand got closer. It was now mere inches away.

But then Harry did something that the dementor had never experienced before.

Harry took hold of the dementor's arm and squeezed it hard.

The dementor cried.

"I always wondered if you felt any pain…looks like you do," said Harry.
