Veronica's POV
I guided my horse around the track once more, slowing as I caught up to Joseph's little pony.
"See that, Joseph? Just like I showed you—squeeze tight with your legs, grip those reins, and stay balanced! You'll be racing through the wind just like me!"
Joseph absorbed every word, doing exactly what I told him. He tugged the reins and urged his horse forward. The reddish-brown pony picked up speed right away.
Watching my son get the hang of it made me grin with pride. I spurred my horse to keep pace with him.

Leonardo's POV
I positioned myself beside the track, observing the riders. My attention locked onto Veronica astride her white horse, then shifted to Joseph on the small reddish-brown pony beside her. The boy wore black riding attire, and there was no mistaking it—that was my son.
So Veronica had brought him out for riding lessons.
