Leonardo's POV
"Oh, I'm also curious. How did you end up in our house?"
Hunt was so worked up that he forgot to ask why Veronica was even here.
"That question should go to Mr. Nelson," Veronica said, casually throwing the responsibility my way. She folded her arms and looked at me.
Hunt turned to me, confusion written all over his face.
"What's happening here? She is...?"
"She's my wife!" I answered without hesitation.
Sure, divorce papers might be coming soon, but as long as we were still legally bound, I wouldn't let anyone mess with what was mine. I definitely wasn't about to watch Hunt drool over Veronica right in front of me.
All that "goddess" and "love" bullshit? I'd tell him straight: "Kid, dream on. She's off-limits."
"Your wife..." Hunt looked like someone had punched him in the gut. He couldn't process it. The goddess he'd been hunting for—his perfect woman—was now his sister-in-law? This had to be some cruel joke.
