Leonardo's POV
"Before, my sister said Clark wasn't the same anymore. She said he was hiding a secret from her. I'm sure it's something that could pose a serious threat to him..." Eleanore explained, her voice trembling.
I listened, my thoughts spinning in disbelief.
My mother had claimed my father was different, that he wasn't the Clark she'd known. Did she mean he'd grown cold-hearted, or was there something deeper? What secret was she talking about?
I had more questions than answers now. The only person who really knew the truth wasn't my mother—it was my father himself!
"What's he planning? First he hurts my mother, now you?" I demanded, fury building in my chest.
"I don't know what he wants, but I'm certain he's hiding something." Eleanore's voice shook with emotion. "Whether my sister vanished or died, he knows what happened. He wouldn't have imprisoned me otherwise."
