Were those flowers just bait to draw me into an ambush?
My eyes hardened with lethal intent. Before I could make my move, a blur of black swept past me.
Two thunderous impacts echoed through the corridor.
"Crash!" "Thud!"
Liana's bodyguards flew into the wall behind them, their bodies hitting the floor in unconscious heaps.
The sheer power behind those strikes was staggering.
I glanced up to find a man positioned in front of me, unshakeable as granite. My gaze narrowed. "You again? What brings you here?"
"What makes it acceptable for you to show up but not me?"
Leonardo's voice carried that familiar lazy drawl as he brushed past me without concern. "Lucky I happened by when I did, or you might be dealing with serious trouble right now. Consider yourself in my debt."
He tossed the comment over his shoulder before strolling toward the restroom.
