Leonardo's POV
Someone shoved me toward Veronica, and I found myself studying the woman standing before me with curious eyes.
Honestly, she was even more stunning than that blurry photo I'd seen before—way beyond anything I could have pictured.
No surprise Edwards had called her a goddess.
But still...
No matter how gorgeous she was, she wasn't my Trish.
"Thanks for today, anyway."
"Don't mention it. I didn't come back for you," Veronica shot back, turning to face me. Her eyes were ice-cold, and this was the first time since she'd arrived that she actually looked me straight in the eye.
Those deer-like eyes were bright and alive, sparkling with something that made my heart stutter.
What the hell was wrong with me?
The air felt heavier somehow, and this weird feeling crept over me.
I could see Camila getting frantic on the sidelines, as if she was thinking, "He's affected! Now's the time to strike!"
