Helena's POV
Sleep refused to come easily after Asher escorted me back to my room in the early hours. Even after standing under the hot spray of the shower until the water ran cold, restlessness clung to me like a second skin. I collapsed onto my bed wearing nothing but a damp towel, hoping exhaustion would finally claim me.
When sleep did arrive, it brought with it a parade of vivid dreams. Phantom hands traced every curve of my body while shadowy figures loomed above me. Their lips found mine in the darkness, each kiss more demanding than the last. They would bring me to the very brink of ecstasy before pulling away, leaving me gasping and desperate for more.
I jolted awake, my heart hammering against my ribs and a persistent throb pulsing between my thighs. I squeezed my legs together, seeking any kind of relief, but found none.
