Chapter 3 - Castle

A few kilometers from Leon

Footsteps fell on the snow slowly but confidently.

"Fuuuuh" - air escaped from his mouth.

"Young master," sounded the voice of a subordinate.

The teenager turned around, his black hair flowing in the wind, making him look even cooler - a coolness effect, I guess.

And his red eyes slowly stopped, focusing on the subordinate. Looking at him, he opened his mouth.

"What is it?" - said Alex.

The subordinate raised his head.

"Report. According to mana sensing, the Master... more precisely, your father, is a few kilometers from us. And according to scouts, it's a castle. There was a castle there, and demons were near them," said the subordinate.

Alex squinted, looking at him. Then his head jerked towards the castle, and he could see it, but the clarity was so-so. "It will take us about 2-3 hours. Hmmm," Alex thought to himself.

"If his mana is there, he's probably being held captive. We need to save him quickly, or our family will be destroyed. Damn it," Alex thought.

He turned his head to the people behind him. There were about 100 soldiers, the best of the best, the strongest, with ranks from B to S.

The ranking system here is from F to SSS.

"My father had an SS rank, and he was still captured. That means the demon must be strong. And there's only one division among demons... the 72 Demons. These are Dukes, comparable to SS or SSS rank."

"The higher the number, the stronger they are."

"At the top is the Demon King, but he is currently sealed. By whom exactly, no one knows."

"Alright, let's move to the castle! We'll destroy these creatures and save my father!" Alex shouted.

**The Castle**

Long white hair flowed in the wind. Standing on the balcony, she watched the people approaching.

"Haaah," the girl sighed.

"How boring," she uttered.

"My name is Charlotte, and I am the daughter of the 72nd Demon. Demons don't have names, but I named myself Charlotte after a character in a book I read. She was just like me; she wanted to leave the castle and travel this world." Seeing people coming her way, she felt nothing, because she was indifferent to death or anything else.

Sighing, she went back inside the castle.

**Leon's POV**

Leon walked, soaked in blood, looking towards the castle. His blade was covered in blood, and behind him lay three demons he had killed. Gazing at the castle, he said:

"System."
