"Found it!"
"I didn't expect the human firewall to be much easier to deal with than anticipated. The AllSpark isn't at the Hoover Dam—it's in… Maine?"
Optimus Prime obtained the required information in less than twenty seconds.
Maine?
Luke thought for a moment. It wasn't far from New York, located in the northeastern United States—only a few hundred kilometers away.
That place...
Luke felt a bad premonition.
"What are they doing with the AllSpark in Maine?"
Unable to figure it out, Luke asked directly.
Optimus Prime's optics flickered as he pulled up the data. "They are studying the AllSpark, primarily focusing on spatial folding technology."
"The local military is secretly carrying out the 'Arrowhead Project,' centered on the AllSpark, attempting to use spatial folding technology to probe the mysteries of space."
"Wait—are you talking about the Arrowhead Project?"
Luke finally reacted.
He found the corresponding name buried within his complex memories.
The Arrowhead Project was mentioned in the movie The Mist.
The mist that engulfed the entire town, as well as the monsters within it, were all the result of a failed experiment.
"They're insane! They're actually planning to use spatial folding technology to open a dimensional gate—what is Kamar-Taj even doing?"
Luke's mouth twitched. He wasn't worried about the monsters in The Mist.
Admittedly, some of those creatures were enormous, comparable to mountains.
But how should he put it…
Aside from the Behemoth that appeared at the very end, the rest of the monsters weren't worth mentioning.
They could even be dealt with using conventional military firepower.
But the real problem was.. The Mist belongs to the Dark Tower worldview.
And within the Dark Tower worldview, the concept of an infinite multiverse also exists.
That raised a terrifying question.
Had the horrifying gods from the Dark Tower world also merged into this universe?
Luke immediately thought of the four abstract entities.
He remembered that the true form of Pennywise—the Deadlights—and the ultimate villain, the Crimson King, existed within the Dark Tower worldview.
Were these two beings, each at least single-universe or even multiverse level, among the four abstract entities?
And the so-called god of fear.. was it the Deadlights, or the Crimson King?
Luke's thoughts raced. It wasn't strange for him to think this way. Surely it couldn't be just The Mist that had crossed over.
Luke's expression immediately darkened.
As expected, the military really were a bunch of idiots!
Every single one of those higher-ups deserved to die!
They had nothing better to do than go around researching dimensional portals.
Did they seriously think the other side of space was Eden?
They were unbelievably foolish. Sooner or later, they would be killed by their own incompetent teammates!
"Let's go. Maine. Now."
Luke prepared to seize the AllSpark first.
He understood one thing very clearly—these things absolutely could not be left in the hands of the military.
It was best to get his hands on it immediately.
"Autobots, roll out!"
Optimus Prime shouted, and the Autobots transformed almost simultaneously.
Luke pulled Mikaela onto Bumblebee, and the group sped straight onto the highway.
A few hours later,
Luke and the others arrived at a remote town in Maine.
Looking at the town shrouded in thick fog, Luke knew they were already too late.
"What strange, heavy fog. I don't have any signal at all."
Jazz waved an arm, his face full of confusion.
Mikaela was surprised. "Aliens need signals too?"
"Of course. I'm connecting to Earth's network," Jazz replied matter-of-factly.
Ratchet asked, puzzled, "What are you doing?"
"Binge-watching. I just found a show called Shameless."
"Huh?!"
Not only the mechanical beings, but even Luke was stunned.
Why Shameless of all things?
That's not how you learn about Earth culture.
Anyone who watches that would want to destroy Earth a hundred times over!
"I suggest you switch to a different series. This one… isn't suitable for you," Luke said tactfully.
"Oh? Really? I saw the comments saying this show was interesting. Everyone kept calling it perverse and shameless, so I wanted to see just how shameless it really was."
Jazz was extremely enthusiastic about learning Earth culture, a side effect of his lively personality that made him eager to explore new things.
"Jazz, stop fooling around. We need to find the AllSpark first."
Optimus Prime drew his long sword. He could sense that the Mist was extremely dangerous.
"Wait."
Luke turned his gaze toward the coastline.
"What is it?" Mikaela moved closer to Luke, following his line of sight with curiosity.
Luke didn't answer right away.
His attention was fixed on the 3D stereoscopic map.
His current visual range covered a ten-kilometer radius, allowing him to see everything from the town all the way to sea level.
Even the situation inside the Mist was displayed clearly.
Dense red dots representing enemies and scattered yellow dots representing neutral parties formed a bizarre pattern across the map.
And at the edge of his vision, along the coastline, Luke saw strange disturbances rippling across the surface of the sea.
It was as if some colossal creature was about to emerge.
A few seconds later...
A massive, bipedal lizard more than a hundred meters tall stepped onto the shore.
Godzilla?!
Luke was genuinely shocked. Had the MonsterVerse merged into this world as well?
Wait a moment...
Godzilla landing in Maine… who was he here to fight?
Could it be the Behemoth within the Mist?
Looking at that familiar silhouette, Luke immediately recognized it. It was the King of the Monsters—Legendary Godzilla.
Legendary Godzilla is a colossal creature that has existed since the Permian period, belonging to the atomic dinosaur lineage.
Within his body is an organ similar to a nuclear reactor. He feeds on nuclear energy to sustain his enormous, mountain-like physique.
Legendary Godzilla is also the guardian of natural order. Whenever the world faces a crisis—such as the emergence of Titan-class beasts—he rises from the depths of the ocean.
In the entirety of The Mist, perhaps only the Behemoth could truly be classified as a Titan.
It wasn't strange that Godzilla would sense the threat.
"Did you hear that?"
Optimus Prime also noticed the anomaly and turned to look in the direction Luke was staring.
"Hmm, is that an earthquake?" Bumblebee watched as the pebbles at his feet began to tremble.
"No… it feels more like a massive creature," Optimus Prime said.
He readied himself for battle, finding it hard to imagine just how enormous a monster capable of causing tremors like that must be.
"Could the Decepticons have arrived?"
Optimus Prime thought of Devastator, the Decepticons' primary mass-produced elite unit.
"It's the King of the Monsters, Godzilla!"
