Thoughts pass through his mind of those memories he discovered of other beings that are not human, but are made of crystals, and hears words flowing within his mind. first felt distorted to his head, but there was a voice repeating to itself. Focus Max you must focus. the same words kept repeating in his head and there seems to be no end to these odd voices he's been hearing, Max had no choice but to comply. Hearing what the voice said he tried to focus within his own mind till the strange person's voice in his mind started to sound more clearer, and clearer, till their figure started to become more noticeable. Once Max sees the person he was immediately shocked to witness the strange being standing right in front of him.
"Young Max Rexxine, it seems you survived my little challenge" the strange figure bowed before him congratulating him for the effort of using focus.
"Who, said that?" Max within his own mind is speaking to someone with a strange figure. His eyes are bright and shiny gleaming with crystals, being the brightest with crystals around his body along with some parts of his body having metal armor.
"I am Orlov, I am the very same crystal you pickup, and I do apologize for the very one who took your arm"
Max is stun by his words but need to answer his questions some feel of unknowing pain of anguish or hatred, but some of curiosity. "why me, of all people, many other researchers or explorers went into the same caverns before we did. So why am the one who gets crystallize."
Orlov sighs in remorse "I had no choice, my body was slowly withering away, and I needed to transfer to another"
"Are you some sort of parasite or some sort of invasive species"
"Not in contrary"
Orlov soon explain to Max about his kind, Orlov is a crystal organic being from a plant called Minrallia and this species is to refer to be called Crystellions. These have many abilities to change shape, and manipulate their body's to better suit in any situation though cannot survive in high temperature this civilization learned how to use lights and reflections causing them to move faster than light. But such a fortune for a great civilization could not leave long, as Orlov was the king of Minrallia, he has a brother name Quartez. His brother did not see the same light as Orlov did but sought for power over all of Minrallia.
"So is this some kind of classic bad guy stuff where all he wants is power?"
"I wish it were that simple"
Max is starting to get confused as Orlov showed a bit of pain speaking to one who is his brother. "Quartez prefers to rule a kingdom where the strongest only survives and started killing the weak even his own children who he considered are weak"
"Okay that's messed up".
A war once began between the two brothers for hundreds of millennium, but despite Orlov protest to his brothers actions, Orlov's forces continues to diminish will Quartez's forces are getting stronger and to the point Orlov and his troops were cornered, along with his two sons "it is over brother, you've lost give up" "if father were to see this he would be disappointed in you" "truly, but he's not here anymore so stop acting like he still exists" Quartez laughs at Orlov's still having courage to protest against Quartez and his troops "well its only fair, that my brother survived this long, and since you care about honour and whatever" Quartez lifts up his arm pointing towards Orlov and turns it into a blade "I challenge to a duel" Orlov soon stands up ready to fight Quartez "fine I challenge what are your rules" "easy, a win or lose situation same rules as always, but the winner slays the loser" Quartez then kills one of his men as an example if one of them loses. Orlov knowing he might lose to his brother but gives it his all, preparing a sword stance and transforming his arm into a blade and with five metres away from each other the duel has begun, each traded slash from both blades some cut deeper into the crystal and Quartez is making those slash while Orlov can only make shallow slash though his crystal "you were always the weaker brother I can't believe that father was that delusional to keep his trust with in you" hearing that Orlov summons a might swing cutting the biggest slash on Quartez's body "what happened when acting like father didn't exist" Quartez the retaliates with multiple slash but Orlov is to quickly dodge the attacks but unnoticed he leg was grabbed by Quartez had extended his arm to reach and grab Orlov's leg then using all his might slams Orlov to the ground then slowly walks towards Orlov "did you really think. I would oblige to these rules" "Hugh, you've always been a coward Quartez" Orlov spits a bit of crystal bit onto the ground "your never staying true to your word, then feigning ignorance, heck you even killed your own men so they cannot become stronger than you what a cowards move" "shut up!" Quartez tries to pierce through Orlov chest but was quickly countered by Orlov's attacks then was launched back onto his men "my liege are you okay" "you idiot let me go he's getting away" Orlov makes a retreats back to his people but was also soon chased by Quartez and his men "what was, why turning back on you brother" "you may have taken Minrallia but how take it now when the planet is dead" Orlov begins to glow brightly combining every part of his body and both of his arms into one big crystal sword "what are you doing brother, if you do that then we'll face extinction" "I know" using all his might he creates a devastating swing cutting huge chunk out of the planet "NO!" Quartez yelled at his brother for such heinous act, he tries to order his men to reach for chuck of Minrallia but it was too far away for everyone to reach Quartez not facing this conclusion extends his whole body from head to toe making sure Orlov's plan doesn't succeed "is this what you want, to kill our entire planet" without question Orlov unleashes a massive sword beam directly hitting Quartez crashing him back down to Minrallia now into many chunks. With Minrallia cut into many pieces the planets core would soon perish and the chunks are purposely being scatter across the galaxy then making its way towards earth's solar system crashing down to earth thousands of years ago giving the planet many crystals in produce in the process.
Max was shock by the story Orlov had spoken but still wanted answers "why was destroying your planet the most logical plan you can think of, it insane!?"
"I understand your concern Rexxine, but my kind was to powerful for its own good, but I feared that can't explain further"
"What do you mean?"
Suddenly they felt a rumble within Max's own mind, he quickly looked around to only see a huge wave of water soon coming towards them both but Max was only hit by the waves, struggle to get his balance and Orlov isn't affected by the waves and starts to speak to Max "until your ready to understand my kind even further I shall give you a fracture of my power, but for now it will soon in time come to your aid". water splashes onto his face, Max gets shocked and opens his eye wide gasping for air only to see Rayn holding a empty bucket of water waking him up "Rayn what the heck!" "Sorry bud, but hey we're here" Max then got up and sees the docks and now feeling a little worried of his new and a missing arm but can still feel it moving looking where the direction from the Crystal Caverns were need to find answers about Orlov lesson.
