The Group has finally arrived at the caverns, they first sees other boats near the island could possibly be researchers and archaeologists going into the caverns and once landing the boat near a dock Lensfer and Annie will be waiting for them to come back as they will be watching the boat.
"All right, have fun" said Lensfer. Max, Sarah, and Rayn make their way into the cave and see, glazing, beautiful, glimmering, cavern of crystals.
"Man you weren't kidding Sarah, this looks incredible" Rayn said looking at the shining crystals reflecting onto his eyes, "Did Carm ever had access to this area" Max ask, "no, only to receive the crystals from this place" Sarah said "that actually make sense how Carm was able to get some fascinating crystals at her museum" Max said.
They were walking the deeper they go down into the cavern they manage to see some amazing crystals such, Rayn, and Sarah keeping gazing upon the crystals. But Max sees something fall from the distance, and walks away towards the two, slowly approaches the odd object that falls, he looks at his surroundings to see if anyone beside the three of them are there. Max slowly reaches for the crystal, as he has it into his grasp it seems to be a colourful, bright and glittering piece of crystal, then pulls out the crystal from his pocket that he got from the tuna to see that it has a different colour than the crystal he acquire, then puts it back into his pocket, and continues to look at the other crystal.
"Heh, Perhaps I could ask Carmlien if I could refine this into a necklace" Max said while chuckling to himself, as Max keeps observing the crystal he hears something
"Mu-must save m-my brethren"
Quickly he reacts to see no one "who's there Sarah? Rayn? Are you there?" only to hear none of his friends anywhere until he hears the strange voice again.
"Suitable h-host commencing c-crystallization"
Suddenly as Max was a bit distracted, starting to feel something, and swiftly looks at the crystal on his hand starting to spread onto his hand rapidly.
"Wh-what the!!" Max said in pure shock, he tries to shake off what's happening to his hand, but all he could feel is the agonizing experience of pain. Max screams in pain hoping for his friends to hear but no one was here to hear his pain, and can feel his chest is burning, but when Max looks at his hand he is horrified to see his whole arm being crystallized, and looks to his right, and sees a body whose resemblance a researcher field explorer, Max quickly crawls to the deceased body, and uses his right arm to grab an item to help him and Max has found a chisel, quickly he reacts and tries to break the crystal piece by piece, but slowly, Max sees the crystals expanding further into his arm, and realizes this and using all his strength, plummeting the chisel into were the end of the crystallized arm and manage to break it off, spreading a bit of blood in the process. Max feels a bit overjoyed by this accomplishment breathing heavily nearly losing conscious, but he quickly keep himself together and bandages his arm by ripping for a part of his jacket, and tries to stand up despite his injury, and inspects his crystal arm on the ground, but at a safe distance, from him, and the arm.
"I can't even believe what just happened to me, seeing my own arm crystallized, it's horrifying."
Max saying this to himself still horrified of the sight of his left arm on the ground now crystallized. Max is about to leave, and look for Sarah, and Rayn, until he felt something in his chest, Max quickly looks under is shirt, and sees a piece of crystal lounge into his chest "no NO NO! This... this can't be happening" Max said, with a horrifying face. Max is about to use the chisel for to get the crystal off, but Max starts to suffer a seizure from the crystal forming into his body, and soon fell to the ground once again, but is seeing a vision of someone's memories that he doesn't recognize, and everything is made of crystals "this is nonsense brother, please reconsider" "Never! You've made your choice, and it's time for retribution" "sigh... Suit for yourself!!!" Max does not understand what this means but it looks like a battle. However, he then sees someone looking straight at him "Found you..." the mysterious crystal said. These were the last words Max heard before losing consciousness.
Sarah, and Rayn, are walking heading deeper through the crystal caverns seeing many crystals along the way some were bright with a grate shade of hue and some colours were diluted with greyish hue, some are ruff, and some give a light reflection they were both amazed by how many different crystals the came form this specific caverns. As the two were having fun with their time but suddenly they don't see Max anywhere in their sight soon they were worried about Max and want to go look for their friend,.
"Max could've gone far, let's retrace our steps Rayn" Rayn give a thumbs up for Sarah's cooperation, as they started to retrace their steps back to where they last saw Max. they look around a but till they then sees footprint heading of to a different direction. "these must be Max's directions, lets go" "okay" the both began to follow Max's foot steps, and were soon to be horrified to sees Max on the ground with his severed arm slowly crawling towards him.
Sarah quickly rushes to Max's side "Max!" Rayn kicks the crystallized arm away "get away from my best bud!" "Sarah, how's Max doing" "he's breathing but he has loss consciousness, Rayn quick pick him up" Sarah, and Rayn picks Max off the ground and began heading towards the exit of the caverns. Outside the Crystal Caverns, Lensfer, and Annie were speaking amongst each other and to their complete surprise they see Sarah, and Rayn carrying Max "oh my god Max, what happen" "I dunno but quick start the boat, NOW!" Everyone begins to goes into the boat, then Lensfer quickly starts the boat, Sarah, Annie, and Rayn places Max onto a spare mattress and head off, Lensfer goes under the deck and meet with the others. "Okay Sarah Rayn can you both tell what happen to Max, and why he is missing an arm!?" "Yeah you two look horrified when carrying Max back to the boat" "we don't a lot about what happened to Max and his arm, and why its gone" "but I did took a quick glimpse onto his arm, or what it used to be, that it was made crystals" "I guess time will only tell if will Max will regain consciousness should we wait?" "I guess its our only option since we're back to see heading back to US" "alright everyone till Max regains consciousness we will limit our question capabilities got it" "got it" Lensfer, Annie, goes back upstairs, but Rayn, and Sarah stayed by his side until he wakes up.
Hours passed and still no response from Max, even by his close friends by his side "come on bud I know you've been through worse than this don't die on my now" "Rayn don't try to make this situation even worse" "sorry but, I just don't like how this pressure is putting onto us" "I know but, please give Max a chance he is the type of person to give up" while the two were talking amongst each other. They see something resonating on Max's chest. Rayn quickly lifts up Max's shirt "what is that?" They both see a crystal lodged into Max's chest Rayn tries to grab it but Sarah stops him "Rayn if you try to rip it out you could have killed him" "how do you know if that's what's keeping him alive?" "I'm not. But I have a hunch that it might save his life" Sarah starts to slowing move her hand towards the crystal in Max's chest and with one small touch Max surprisingly wakes what "*gasp* *gasp* Sarah, Rayn?" Sarah and Rayn were scared for the moment but were thankful to see Max still alive despite missing an arm. "What happened, the last thing I could remember that my whole body was in agony and I was forced to sever my left arm" Sarah and Rayn began to explain Max to his situation, and are surprised to how calm he looks but all they mostly see are his eyes has changed colour and are matching the same reflection on a crystal, clear white.
"How does your arm feel bud?" Rayn asked Max tries to move his arm but nothing happens
"It feels like arm is still moving around, also where did you guys do to my arm" Max question to see if his arm is still on the ship.
"I had to kick it away because it was crawling back to you, but if you wanted back well... sorry bud"
"No worries bud I always had a backup plan when ever I lose an arm specifically my dominant arm, but I suppose some fresh air would be forgiving"
Max starts to walk upstairs but is still feeling weak but he takes his time slowly walking on the stairs step by step, and goes up to the deck to see Lensfer and Annie.
"Max, glad to see you still kicking" Lensfer asked
"I know Lensfer, just glad to alive" Max answered
"Max if your wondering we're heading back home, back to town"
"I can see that"
"So Max do you have any idea how to hide your arm well, considering its gone" Lenfer handing him a cup of coffee but Max was quick to decline as he give it to Annie.
"I'm not sure, unless you have any prosthetic limbs laying around but I might ask Wears for one"
"You sure, you can't just go into the public looking like this"
"Hm, your right then I should ask you guys to bring me one then, if that's the case"
"If you say so"
"Hehe thanks Lensfer I can always count on you"
"So what about your job?" Annie asked
"That I haven't given it a thought yet"
"Let's explain this later, you still need to rest" Lensfer asked
"Okay I got you"
Max soon sits down to reserve his strength and keep his mind clear looking at the sudden clear sky somehow keeping him a bit of ease. But still has his mind of the incident that has on folded onto Max falling soon asleep quickly as he expected.
