I looked between Romano and Eliza, releasing a weary sigh.
Without Jenifer here to help with Romano, I was completely overwhelmed.
My work responsibilities alone were already consuming all my time.
Yet if Romano continued living at home with Eliza, I couldn't fathom how indulgent he would become.

After ending the call, I dialed Natalia's number.
"Natalia, word reached me that the Zach Group delivered a legal notice to Eliza," I said.
Natalia hadn't intended to inform me, but knowing I'd already found out, she felt she should provide an explanation.
"Jenifer, that legal notice didn't come from me.
