Sonia Forrest furrowed her brows and walked over hesitantly.
Adrian Sterling grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms.
"Ah—" Sonia exclaimed in surprise, looking at him with some astonishment, "What are you doing? What if Julian sees us..."
Adrian's eyes darkened, and he lowered his head to kiss her.
Sonia turned her face away, her expression complex, but her tone was extremely cold: "Adrian, we are already divorced. We shouldn't be doing this."
"Sonia, let me love you. It doesn't matter if we are no longer married; my love for you hasn't diminished in the slightest. Whatever you want, just say the word, and I'll help you get it, even if it means offending the whole world, as long as you ask."
"But I don't want it!" Sonia shouted in resistance, her expression cold and distant, as if cutting him off completely.
"If I have any shred of conscience or a bottom line left, then that conscience and bottom line are all for you, Adrian. So I beg you, don't push me, okay?"
