"That is..." Tian Xin said with a smile, "I'm your own daughter!"
Back from the village committee, she wandered around the house, fussing all afternoon without accomplishing anything. Taking time off was a kind of torture for her.
"It's so annoying!" she exclaimed, sitting in the room and opening a book, flipping through it casually. It was her favorite book, Maum's "The Moon and Sixpence," which she had read several times.
She had thought about the choice between reality and ideals many times and had asked someone about it before.
The person only responded halfway then stopped.
She put the book back on the shelf and squatted at the door, watching the birds fly to and from the trees, fighting for food.
"Why don't you take a stroll in the county town? And bring back some yarn for me — I'll knit you a sweater!"
Seeing her daughter so bored, her mother offered her some advice, wanting her to get out more and clear her mind.
