Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Our First Deep Kiss at This Spot

Seeing Caden Lockwood, Evelyn Morgan felt uneasy.

Does he have the Mind Reading Technique?

Why did he come here, and why did he speak so confidently, saying she was here to reminisce?

"With the scene re-enacting, isn't it better with me here to restore it?" Caden Lockwood's voice was deep and rich, spilling from his lips, intoxicating her completely.

As he finished speaking, he lowered his hands and took steps towards her, each step igniting her wildly racing heart.

His large hand grasped her arm, effortlessly lifting her.

He drew her to a corner of the room, one hand propped against the wall, and gently opened his lips: "Our first kiss was right here."

Her eyelashes fluttered lightly, reflected in her eyes was his handsome, vigorous face, warm breath sprayed onto her own face, as if seeping into her skin, controlling her reason.

The warm lips touched hers, causing her whole body to jolt, finally reacting, she raised her hand wanting to push him away, but in the moment before exerting strength, he grasped her wrist, his body pressing forward, directly pinning her tightly against the wall.

Just then, the man who stood like a mountain before her suddenly released her, covering his own head.

She glanced at him rapidly, noticing at some unknown point his handsome face had turned pale without a trace of blood, the sharp black eyes filled with bloodshot threads, losing their usual coldness, his hand's bulging veins alarmingly prominent.

Terrified, Evelyn Morgan's legs went soft, her instinctive reaction was to run.

She ran to the door, compelled to look back one more time, seeing him curled on the ground, clearly in a near-death expression of agony, yet not uttering a single groan of pain.

Biting her lip, she finally ran towards him, urgently asked: "What's wrong with you? Where does it hurt, I'll call an ambulance!"

He suddenly grabbed her hand, placing it on his suit pocket, "There's medicine in the car." Each word nearly drained his last bit of strength.

Her hand clattered as she reached into his pocket, took the car keys and frantically said, "Wait for me, I'll find the medicine now!"

As she said this, she grabbed the bedding from the bed and covered his incessantly trembling body, whispering: "I'll be right back!"

Turning five steps into three, she ran out using her fastest, greatest physical ability, almost falling several times.

Watching her staggering silhouette, Caden Lockwood clutched his head tightly, and unknowingly, the splitting pain began to ease, until she could no longer be seen, his mind still filled with images of her.

Evelyn Morgan dared not delay, reached the underground garage using the alarm button on the keys to find the car, then found the medicine inside, and immediately ran back.

Caden Lockwood lay on the ground, his hands tightly clasped together, in sight, his fists were a gory mess.

What kind of pain turns such a strong man ashen-faced?

Yet even so, he hasn't uttered a single moan of pain.

"Is this the bottle? How many pills do you need? There's nothing written on the bottle!" Evelyn Morgan asked while wiping sweat from her face, beads of sweat rolled down next to Caden Lockwood's hand, involuntarily tugging at her heart.

Caden Lockwood managed to muster a difficult smile, softly said: "Silly girl, are you crying for me?"
