Chapter 13 - Arrival

"Who are y'all?" asked Guiver who was still inside Reigh's body.

The entire room was filled with deep silence even though he had started the first question.

Seeing all the Assassins in front of him still silent, "What is the name of your organization?" he asked again.

"Grey Lurk..." answered the middle-aged woman, after her breathing returned to normal from the grip on her neck.

Guiver raised an eyebrow, "Grey... Lurk?" *Pffftt... He chuckled, "Hahaha!" His laughter made all the Assassins confused. "What kind of name is that?! So stiff!"

Seeing the name of their organization being insulted by Guiver, all of them clenched their jaws, holding back their anger.

Besides, they could not do anything in their current condition, because their hands and feet were bound by Sociel's magic.

Guiver stood up in a cool pose, "We are Grey Lurk..." he said with his body turned sideways to all of them, hand holding his face, "Not black... And not white..." he continued, his voice made deep to be more convincing. "Always lurking... Behind the walls."

The veins on the Assassins' foreheads bulged, "Bastard..." they muttered.

Guiver glanced at them, "Hehehe... Sorry, sorry." He replied, sitting back down on the chair.

Outwardly, he was insulting the naming of Grey Lurk which sounded stiff. But in his heart, he praised it, "Grey Lurk... huh?" he muttered in his heart, smiling, "That stiff naming really shows that they are professionals who do not care about cool names."

"In my previous world it was the same, organization names used stiff names," he continued muttering in his heart, unheard by Reigh. "But the purpose was clear." Looking at the ceiling, "I'm getting more interested in them."

He looked at the middle-aged woman, "So?!" You all are just small fry, right?" Guiver asked again.

The middle-aged woman who was always called 'teacher' by the other Assassins began to reply to Guiver's words, "Of course not." She said confidently.

"Hooo?" replied Guiver, "If not, then why didn't your superior help?" he said in a mocking tone, crossing his legs, "This world is filthy... Anyone... Can be thrown away..." he said while tapping the pencil on his wooden chair.

The woman sneered back, "Hmph! Just like you who was thrown away, right?"

Hearing that comeback, Guiver did not flinch at all. "Yeah." he answered flatly. "The past cannot be changed..." He paused for a moment, staring blankly at the floor. He began to mutter, "Even the present... Will become the past one day..."

"Like 1+1=2, from the past until now..." he added, "But someday... The result may not stay 2."

The woman looked at Guiver with a furrowed brow. "What the hell is he rambling about?" she muttered in her heart.

She snorted, "Hmph!"

"You're like a different person, kid. Like..." the woman said, "Having a split personality."

Guiver did not deny it, "Yeah... You could say that," he replied. "You can call me Hgier."

Reigh who was in his own body felt uncomfortable, "Hey Guiver, why did you say that?!" he shouted, "That's my body you're using! People will say I'm crazy later!"

"Shut up!" Guiver snapped back at Reigh inside. "You are already crazy anyway."

Even more confused, she lowered her head, "Hgier?!" the woman murmured, "The reverse of the name Reigh?!" She looked up quickly, "Who are you?" she asked.

"Oi oi! Why is it like you're the one interrogating me?!" Guiver shouted. Shaking his head, "Assassins really are amazing, able to twist the facts quickly..." he muttered while clapping his hands.

Looking back at the woman, "But let me explain a little why I can appear," sitting on the chair, staring at the ceiling. "Do you think, with the very tragic background of this body... " he muttered again, "There is no possibility that a new personality would emerge?"

Looking into the old woman's eyes that showed confusion, "This body has many personalities..." he grinned, "One of them is me."

Guiver gave a faint smile, there was a reason why he deliberately revealed that secret.

One of them was "He aimed so that the Grey Lurk organization would not underestimate Reigh."

If Grey Lurk knew that Reigh had a split personality, every action of Reigh would be very difficult for them or anyone targeting Reigh to read and predict.

He could have chosen not to reveal that. But, after considering the future steps, everyone would eventually realize that Reigh's behavior would always differ every time Reigh and Guiver switched control.

That was why the best step was to inform them directly that Reigh had a split personality.

Sometimes, sacrificing small things to gain bigger things is the basis of survival in a dark world.

In the middle of the silence because they could not understand what Guiver was saying, "Then," Guiver broke the silence, "What is your goal?" he asked.

"To fight the Inner Dominion—"

"To fight the Inner Dominion." As the middle-aged woman answered, Guiver said the same words.

Shocked, the woman shouted, "H-How do you know?!" she yelled.

Guiver smiled cynically, "That's easy, isn't it?" he said half-muttering, "Your behavior from the beginning only tested me."

From the start, since the murder committed by Reigh in this mansion.

None of the Assassins tried to help Beltiro fight Reigh. Showing that they did not cooperate with Beltiro.

Even after the murder in this mansion, when Reigh held a feast, the Assassins could have poisoned the food eaten by Reigh or his followers.

Showing that they did not target the lives of Reigh or his followers.

Instead, they decided to attack Reigh when he was alone heading to the treasure room. It was clear that they only wanted to test Reigh's fighting ability to see if he could fight them.

Even during the interrogation, they deliberately twisted the conversation to dig out what Reigh's real goal was.

From all those fragments, only one answer came to Guiver's mind. That is, "They are neither enemies, nor allies".

With an unbelieving face, the woman asked Guiver. "If you really know our goal,"

"Then why beat around the bush?" she asked.

Guiver smirked, "That should be my line." he replied indifferently, "You're the ones beating around the bush."

"Then the last question," Guiver added, "What is Toodes?"

The middle-aged woman looked up, "I don't know." She lowered her head, "One day you will find out."

"I see," Guiver didn't bother about it, because for him it was also useless.

Reigh looked displeased because Guiver treated it as a trivial matter, "H-Hey! Why didn't you force her?!" Reigh shouted.

Guiver simply answered casually, "For what?, besides, that's not important. Just consider it a nickname."

Reigh was silent for a few moments, and he began to understand what Guiver meant.

In the room's silence, Guiver stared blankly at the corner of the room, "What do you want... Stalker?!" His words weren't directed at anyone. "Are you shy?"

When the Assassins were confused because Guiver wasn't talking to them.

The room went silent again for about 5 seconds.

Suddenly, *Khahaha... "Very good..." That deep voice replied to Guiver's words.

The room's temperature dropped drastically. A terrifying aura pierced the skin as if it wanted to tear everything apart.

"T-This voice?..." the middle-aged woman murmured. "T-This pressure?..."

As if the entire room was being crushed by extremely heavy gravity.

"How did you know he was there, Guiver?!" Reigh asked in confusion, he could not process what was happening.

"Your body is extraordinary, kid." Guiver replied flatly, "Like an unpolished diamond, that just needs a little polishing." he said to Reigh.

Guiver used Reigh's body that had been honed by his extreme training, turning it into a body truly different from ordinary people.

It was true that Reigh's body was trained, but still, Reigh had not yet been able to fully control all of his abilities to the maximum.

'Just needs a little polishing' already explained that Reigh was still very rough in using his abilities.

Reigh's detection magic was not that strong, but it had already become the foundation for Guiver to reach a higher level.

Based on the understanding he got from reading many fantasy books, it was not difficult to learn about detection magic directly.

Responding to the threat of that person, Guiver immediately disappeared from the chair.

*Ssshhh... He instantly stood at the corner of the wall, "How is it... Sir? Am I worthy?..."
