"Where am I?" That was the last thing he said before his eyes closed.
"Dexter!? Dexter!?" Elizabeth screamed as she looked in the direction of the car that hit them, she immediately recognized the license plate on the car.
"Andrew," Elizabeth said through gritted teeth, "I will get you from this."
***********
Dexter lay on the floor before his eyes suddenly snapped open.
He looked around were he was and found out he was in a void.
He stood up and looked around, "Where am I? Am I in heaven?" Dexter thought.
"No." He heard a female voice behind him and immediately turned around to see who it was.
He saw a beautiful woman, in a blue tightly fitted suit that really accentuated her curvy figure.
Dexter was a guy who had good self control but even he got carried away for a moment by her figure, but it was only for a moment.
"Who are you?, and why did you say I was not in heaven?" Dexter's asked with caution, he had no idea who this person in front of him was and what they were capable of.
"Don't you remember me, Ana." The woman said.
"No way Ana is a chip, you are a human being." Dexter said not believing her.
The woman's face became gloomy, it looked like she was hurt by what he said.
"I feel so insulted that you only see me as a chip," Ana said, "But I won't blame you, I am a chip."
Dexter didn't understand what was going on or why this woman knew about Ana, he didn't want to believe that Ana was the person standing Infront of him.
"You don't believe me, I see." Them the woman flicked her fingers.
Dexter felt a sharp pain in his head as he clutched it, he knew Ana was just trying to talk to him but it felt louder that usual and that caused him pain.
Seeing his face twisting in pain, Ana flicked her fingers again and the pain stopped.
"What was that?" Dexter asked.
"That was just me trying to talk to you." Ana answered in her usual cold manner.
When Dexter heard the way she answered he started to believe that it was actually Ana.
"So where am I?"
"Your in your Conscience." Ana said leaving Dexter even more confused.
So Ana went on to explain, "When you face death your will comes to your conscience, thereby rendering you unconscious but your will doesn't just come to your conscience for nothing, it comes to stop a fear from putting out the mind flame."
After Ana's explanation Dexter had even more questions, so he didn't hesitate and began to ask them.
"Whoa, First of all, that's a lot of information to take in and second what is a mind flame?"
"A mind flame is found in the center of your consciousness, it is what makes you decide on what to do and what not to do, in short it is the microchip that keeps your body running, once it's put out your body shuts down."
Dexter now understood the severeness of the situation and started to panic a little.
"You said a fear is going to extinguish the flame, what is that fear exactly?"
"The fear is what exactly put you in this situation, it's strength is dependant on how afraid your were of it."
After Dexter heard that he put more at ease, he wasn't that afraid of the car that hit him.
"Plus your willpower must also be strong enough to fight back." Ana added.
Dexter froze before he asked, "How strong is my willpower."
"The strength of ones willpower can be ranked, beginner, amateur, professional, master and deadly, right now your in the amateur level, you probably have to level up to the professional level to have a better chance at survival."
Dexter was shocked when he heard that, he was always proud of his willpower but now it was only at the amateur level which shocked him.
"Ok Dexter let's hurry, we have to make it to the center of your conscience, we don't have much time" Ana said hurriedly.
"Ok so were are we?"
"The conscience is divided into three parts, outer, inner and center, currently we are at the outer, we have to scale through all the fears that you have in your conscience to make it to the center."
Dexter then suddenly gulped, he didn't why he felt something ominous coming up.
Dexter had, had tons of wacky fears all these years and now he would have to face them all and the worse part was his willpower wasn't even that strong.
So Ana and Dexter began their journey, they hadn't gone far when they heard a roar.
Ana then turned to face Dexter, "Oh I forgot to mention, overcoming your fears increases your willpower."
