The moment the jester spoke, everything inside me cracked. My mother… a devil? One of them? No. No, it couldn't be. She never harmed anyone—not me, not the world, not even the people who crushed her.
For a few seconds, my thoughts collapsed into a frantic spiral:
He's lying.He must be lying.He's the jester—he twists truth for fun… right?
But deep down… I knew he wasn't.The jester never lies.He only sharpens the truth into a knife.
I tried to interrupt him—to scream, to demand answers—but my voice wouldn't come. Not only I… even the Sins struggled to speak. Lucifer's presence held every tongue still like a cage.
The jester laughed softly as I strained. He leaned close and whispered into my ear:
"You really are helpless, Sammael.Don't repeat your mother's mistakes."
His words ignited something monstrous inside me—rage, despair, panic. My vision warped black and red. Horns erupted through my scalp. My nails lengthened into claws. If I had seen myself right then……I would cheerfully tear my own throat out.
And maybe that's why I did it.
Without thinking, I punched straight through my own neck.Bone cracked. Flesh tore. But the blood that spilled wasn't red.
It was pitch-black. Like the dead sea.
The jester smirked.Lucifer froze—surprised—but slowly, a wide grin spread across his face.
"Sammael," Lucifer said with unsettling delight, "you cannot defy my orders. And you cannot die. So stop being ridicul—"
"I SAID PROVE IT!"
The words tore out of me like fire.Suddenly, I could speak again—Lucifer's command over me shattering like thin glass.
"My mother wasn't a devil! She never corrupted anyone! She never harmed anyone!Prove it, you disgusting monsters!"
The jester clicked his tongue and addressed everyone with cold amusement:
"You all saw that, didn't you?He broke Lucifer's command.Tell me—besides Lilith, has any fallen human ever done that?"
That bastard. He wanted me to react like this.He needed it—to prove his point.
Every Sin turned toward me, stunned. Not with judgment…But with pity.
And that made everything worse.
The jester continued:
"Let me answer your question, Sammael."
He paced slowly.
"Your father was a devout man. A worshipper of God.A husband.A believer.A man of virtue."
His smile sharpened.
"Until he met your mother."
I felt the air leave my lungs.
"In her presence, he fell faster than any mortal I've ever seen.He raped. He stole. He defiled the church he claimed to love.He beat you bloody when you were too small to defend yourself. Why do you think your mother never called the police?Or tried to leave him?Or saved herself?"
My throat closed.I tried to deny it—but I had nothing to say.Nothing.
"Even when she died," the jester added, "he replaced you immediately.Treated you like a curse. And Sammael… you fell too. You abandoned faith, drowned in hatred, and murdered your family.Even I wouldn't have gone that far."
I lowered my head.Silent.Empty.
The jester wasn't destroying me.He was exposing what was already broken.
He continued:
"Corruption is the first sin that led humanity to fall from grace.Lilith lived longer than any of us—except our Lord, Lucifer."
The jester knelt.
"Her existence allowed us to corrupt angels, bend humanity, and even kill an archangel in the First Rebellion. But when we needed her most—she ran."
His voice darkened.
"She took her own life in the Forsaken Temple, during a night like this one.But even death was impossible for us.Yet she found a way to break her contract……and pass her entire sin to her son."
He pointed at me.
"Sammael: the new embodiment of Corruption."
My wounds sealed instantly, but I could no longer speak. My voice was locked again by Lucifer's will.
The Sins argued loudly about fate, plans, and war.I didn't care.I wanted the world to collapse and bury me in it.
Then LUST rose. She waved her fingers lightly and asked:
"Lord Lucifer, may Sammael speak? I wish to hear his answer."
Lucifer allowed it.
She leaned toward me—her eyes filled with curiosity and danger.
"Sammael… after everything you learned today…What do you want now?"
Silence fell.
I lowered my head. Then slowly raised it—eyes drowned in black and crimson.
"My family made me a monster," I whispered."And the world let it happen."
A twisted smile cut across my face.
"So fine.I'll become what they wanted."
I stood.
"I will kill the source of all this misery.I will kill God.And I will finish what Mother began."
My voice echoed like a curse.
"I will become the corruption Lilith could not."
