(Recap and Intro begin…)
The episode opens with Jay sitting quietly in his room.
The Obsidian Shard rests across his lap, its black surface shimmering faintly.
He runs his fingers over the blade.
"There has to be something more to this sword…" he mutters.
Something it isn't telling him.
Jay enters his father's room.
Dust, silence, old memories.
He opens a drawer… and finds another diary.
On its cover, a strange line is carved:
"Only demons can understand this diary."
Jay blinks.
"What kind of joke is this?"
He walks out and shows it to his little sister.
"Do you understand what's written here?"
She scans the cover and shrugs.
"How am I supposed to understand something that isn't written at all?"
Jay freezes for a moment.
"…Maybe she's right."
"Jay? What happened?" she asks.
"Nothing," he says, brushing past her.
Back in his room, Jay opens the diary.
This time… the pages are no longer blank.
Lines begin forming on the paper as if written by an invisible hand:
"This diary records the powers of demons,
and the ways to make them stronger."
Another line appears:
"Place one drop of your blood on the page."
Jay stares.
"One drop of blood…?
Fine. Let's try it."
He cuts his finger and lets a single drop fall onto the page.
Instantly, the diary bursts into glowing light.
It lifts into the air, pages flipping rapidly.
The wind blows Jay backward, and he crashes onto the floor.
At that exact moment, his sister walks in.
"Jay! What happened?!"
Jay points upward, panicking.
"You don't see this?! The diary is floating!"
She looks around the room, completely confused.
"See what? Jay, nothing is here. Are you feeling sick?"
Jay lowers his hand slowly.
"…No. It's nothing."
In his mind:
"So she can't see it.
This diary… is visible only to me."
She leaves the room.
Jay opens the diary again.
Now the pages show something completely different:
First Sword: Obsidian Shard
Sword Power: 68
User Status
Strength: 50
Power: 15
Intelligence: 48
Health: 580
Speed: 37
Jay's eyes widen.
"This… is like my own status screen…"
Suddenly new text appears on the page:
"This is your Power Level Page.
Do you want to become stronger?
(Yes / No)"
Jay doesn't hesitate.
"Yes."
The room turns dark.
A deep-blue light spreads around him, swallowing everything.
Jay falls through the emptiness and lands somewhere else…
A world he's never seen.
The diary appears again:
"This test… is to test you."
The ground trembles violently.
CRACK.
A massive serpent bursts from beneath the earth, its scales black as night, its enormous red eyes glowing with malice.
Jay stumbles back, breath caught in his throat.
"W…what is that…?"
The snake hisses.
