Chapter 107 - Chapter 105: Before Crasters Keep

Dorne, Sunspear.

When Prince Doran heard the news that The Red Viper Oberyn had died in trial by combat, he wanted to send troops to King's Landing to demand justice.

But when The Red Viper Oberyn returned alive and well before him, Prince Doran was so startled he stood up directly from his wheelchair.

"Oberyn, is it really you? Or is this your ghost?" he asked.

Oberyn's face was pale, as if he had just recovered from a serious illness, but he still had body temperature and a shadow beneath his feet.

"Brother, I didn't die! Mufasa merely created the illusion of killing me in front of everyone," Oberyn said.

"So that's how it is! It seems the legendary golden lion king Mufasa is no simple character!" Prince Doran said.

"After you return, rest well! We in Dorne, no, we House Martell, will not participate in their war this time."

The Prince continued.

"That won't do, brother. Even if we don't send troops, we must contribute. We in Dorne have plenty of warhorses and swords, which can be provided to the Seven Kingdoms allied forces as mounts and weapons," Oberyn said.

Currently, some of the lords in Dorne no longer listen to the commands of House Martell, as they believe Prince Doran is weak and Oberyn is ruthless, neither of them being a wise ruler.

"Why have you changed after a trip to King's Landing? Logically, you should hate House Lannister, shouldn't you?" Prince Doran asked.

"Because I brought back a method to make Dorne prosperous."

The Red Viper Oberyn obtained the drip irrigation planting method from Mufasa. With this technology, the Dornish people could grow food and vegetables in the desert.

As the Prince of Dorne, Oberyn naturally knew that their family's hatred was insignificant compared to the interests of all Dorne.

After seeing the drip irrigation method, Prince Doran felt that this technology was truly a perfect fit for Dorne.

Thus, he agreed to Oberyn's plan to provide weapons and horses to the Seven Kingdoms allied forces. He also planned to send his two sons, one to King's Landing and one to The Wall.

Mufasa left Gao Shun and Zhang Liao in Winterfell to continue training troops, while he led the rest of the army towards The Wall.

When passing Last Hearth, Mufasa again left a portion of his men. He had to consider whether The Wall had enough space for the army to encamp.

After all, it was too cold there, and with too many people and not enough food, they might freeze or starve to death. Perhaps they would die in the snow before even encountering the wildlings and White Walkers.

Upon arriving at The Wall again, Mufasa successfully took command.

Mufasa first held a meeting with the Nights Watch high command.

"The King's decree appoints me as the vanguard commander of the Seven Kingdoms allied forces, meaning I am the supreme commander of the front line. You Nights Watch must also obey me. Do you have any objections?" Mufasa asked.

He scanned the faces of the Nights Watch high command.

"Let me see the King's decree!" Lord Commander Jeor Mormont said.

Mufasa had Podrick give him the decree.

After reading it, Lord Commander Mormont sighed. The Nights Watch had always been independent, not having too many ties with the Seven Kingdoms.

However, they defended the Seven Kingdoms and also accepted captive recruits from the Seven Kingdoms.

"Alright, the supreme command is yours, General Mufasa. Tell us, what should we do now?" Lord Commander Mormont said.

"Naval forces will arrive on the east and west coasts of Westeros. The western navy will land on Bear Island and serve as a sub-command center there. The eastern navy will land at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea and serve as a sub-command center there."

"As for me, I will be stationed at Castle Black, repairing the other Nights Watch castles while sending people Beyond the Wall to communicate with the wildlings," Mufasa said.

"Aggo, Ygritte, step forward!"

Mufasa's only two wildling subordinates stepped out; they had followed Mufasa for a long time.

"You are familiar with the situation Beyond the Wall, so I'm sending you as guides, leading an army of three thousand to scout the situation Beyond the Wall. If you encounter wildlings, exchange intelligence with them. If you encounter wights, kill them. If you can't defeat them, run," Mufasa said.

Mufasa sent Lü Bu, Loras, and Robar Royce Beyond the Wall, while the others began repairing the Nights Watch's other castles.

Mufasa's demands were not many; he only needed seven to be repaired.

Seven, plus the three originally well-preserved ones, would make ten castles in total.

Beyond the Wall, Aggo and Ygritte led the army, traversing the Haunted Forest.

"Why aren't we going in a straight line?" Loras asked.

He watched Aggo and Ygritte continuously leading them in a curving path and somewhat didn't understand why.

"Only fools walk in a straight line, and who knows how many traps are in the Haunted Forest, you idiot!" Ygritte cursed.

"You!" Loras's face flushed red, about to retort. But suddenly he remembered something and said no more, silently following along.

"Ahead is Crasters Keep. Although it's called a keep, it can't compare to the castles in the South. But he's also a wildling, so we can go there to ask about the situation."

Aggo said.

On a small hillside, there was an earthen embankment surrounding it. To the southwest of the embankment was a small gate, with a stream winding north beside it. This was the place known as Crasters Keep.

Craster, the owner here, was the child of a Ranger and a wildling woman from White Tree Village. However, his father was punished for violating Nights Watch law. His mother took him back Beyond the Wall to live.

Craster not only traded with wildlings but also with the Nights Watch. Although he wasn't a good person, to the Nights Watch, he was much safer than other wildlings.

Nights Watch patrols could come to his place for dinner or to hide from dangers.

When the large company arrived at Crasters Keep, his wives and daughters were all scared and hid, and several fat, white pigs ran out of the open pen gate.

"What's wrong, what's wrong?" Craster rushed out with a cleaver, and then he saw a dense crowd. In his line of sight, he saw at least over a thousand fully armed soldiers.

"Are you Nights Watch?" Craster asked.

Then he saw the two guides, Aggo and Ygritte.

"You two are wildlings. You are from the Free Folk, and which tribe are you from?" Craster recognized Ygritte by her red hair. But he couldn't tell which tribe Aggo was from.

"We are all wildlings, all one family, why bother dividing into tribes?" Aggo said.

"Craster, we're not here to rob you, but to ask for information. Has anything happened Beyond the Wall recently?" Aggo asked.
