š Chapter ā The Decision to Submit
Far from the meeting between the giant elder and the childā¦
Odin had already reached the place where his brothers, the other rulers, and the children were gathered.
He looked at one of his childrenānow among the first warriors of Asgardāand said:
"Take the children to the secret cave."
As soon as he said that, he signaled to his sons, his brothers' children, the warriors, and even the rulers to go with them.
Hades looked at Odin in confusion:
"What are you doing? Did the truce or alliance with the giants fail?"
Odin glanced at Poseidon and asked:
"Did you teach the child what I taught you?"
Poseidon and the others looked confused, and Athena asked:
"Did something happen with the child?"
Odin turned to her coldly:
"You've ruined my reputation with the giants because of your foolish actions."
Then he explained everything that had happenedā¦
Athena and Odin both looked at Hades and Poseidon:
"Which one of you taught him that?"
Poseidon immediately looked at Hades:
"It must've been you, you idiot! Look what you've done!"
Hades frowned and looked at Odin:
"Is that really why you came back here?"
Odin slowly shook his head, glancing at Poseidonā¦
Hades' calm reaction made it clearāit wasn't him.
So it had to be Poseidon.
Odin sighed in frustration and said:
"Yes⦠I came to tell you that from now on, we will become followers of the giants."
Before anyone could protest or even react, he added:
"Asgard ordered it. That's the real reason we raised the giant child."
Then he continued:
"And I don't think this will last long⦠once we grow stronger and gain more rulers, we'll step out of their shadow."
His brothers thought carefully about his wordsā¦
They knew that if they revealed themselves now, they would be attackedā
Either by the dragons for what they did to the young dragonā¦
Or by the demons, who thrive on chaos.
So they nodded:
"You're right⦠we need a powerful shadow to hide behind. And there's nothing better than the giants."
Odin looked at the sky:
"Enough talk. Go to the cave with the children. I'll handle the giants myself."
They nodded and left without another word.
As they walked awayā¦
They glared at Poseidon with burning anger.
Poseidon sighed:
"Think about what we're going to tell Forn⦠You all know she went with the children without saying a word just because Odin was there."
Then he added:
"And when we face her⦠she'll question us. You know how troublesome she is."
Hades and Athena's expressions immediately changedā¦
They stopped glaring at Poseidonā¦
And instead started worrying about what they would say to Forn⦠š
Odin watched them leave and muttered:
"I've finished raising children and grandchildren⦠now I have to raise my brothers."
He shook his head in annoyance, then looked toward the giant woman's direction:
"I need to handle this⦠make them protect us for at least a hundred years."
He continued thinking:
"By then, the children will grow⦠we'll have a strong army⦠and many rulers."
A faint, artificial smile formed on his faceā¦
Then he headed toward the child and the giant elder.
ā
Far from Odin's schemes⦠and from Asgard entirelyā¦
The Demon King stood, staring at the continent of Mira.
Behind him stood Lilith, waiting for his command.
He had summoned her personallyāsomething rare.
He spoke:
"The aura of the corpse you told me about⦠has disappeared."
Before she could ask anything, he continued:
"The Dragon King left his throne and Mira for a short time⦠then returned quickly."
Lilith thought he had finishedā
But then he added:
"And the power hidden in the depths of the ocean⦠has moved as well."
His tone grew serious:
"I want you to find out what's happening. Did the Dragon King fight the giants? Is war approaching? And why is there no sign of it in the world?"
Lilith immediately bowed:
"I will find out, my king."
She vanished at once.
The Demon King looked up at the dark sky of the demon continent and laughed coldly:
"When I recover⦠I will personally kill every dragon and giant in this worldā¦"
Then he whispered:
"And rule it myself⦠making demons the strongest race."
ā
Elsewhere⦠far from the demon continentā¦
On floating islands in the skyā¦
The Archangel, with six white wings, looked down at a lower angel:
"Go. Find out what caused the Dragon King's strange movementā¦"
Then he added:
"And learn why the power in the ocean depths has stirred⦠and what the demons are planning."
The angel bowed and disappeared instantly.
The Archangel stood from his throne, spreading his six wings, and said with anticipation:
"When we finish forging that armor⦠I will personally sever the Demon King's headā¦"
A cold smile crossed his face:
"To make him an example⦠for anyone who dares challenge the angels in this world."
