MORNING HOURS, PRISON
Nox had woken up about 30 minutes ago, sitting on the bed, thinking, he was in a strange state… He was only thinking and getting angry, wanting to do something, but when he realized he couldn't, he fell into a calm despair… At that moment, Mare woke up, yawned, and looked down at Nox on the lower bed, after staring at Nox for a few seconds he said, "Hey, Nox." After this sudden sound from above, Nox came back to himself from the thoughts he was lost in, lifted his head and looked without saying anything, "Why did you go to prison?" Mare asked Nox curiously, still a bit sleepy… Nox just stared for a few seconds and then said, "I did something bad." After that, Mare burst into loud laughter and said, "Everyone here is here because they did something bad!" while still laughing. Afterward, Nox kept his serious expression and lay back on his bed without saying anything. Mare was still smiling to himself.
ONE HOUR LATER
The doors of N Region's Room 10, and actually all prison rooms at the same time, opened, and the same voice was heard from all of them, "MEAL AND YARD TIME! YOU HAVE 2 HOURS!" the guards were shouting. At that moment, Nox was about to fall asleep and woke up to the guards' voices, it was the first time he heard this sound and he wasn't used to it… He calmly stood up and started walking toward the door, not for food… He thought he needed some fresh air. At that moment, Mare quickly passed by him and while passing, touched Nox's shoulder and said, "Enjoy your meal." Nox wondered where Mare was going in such a hurry, but he didn't think much about it. As Nox kept walking, he was also observing his surroundings, everyone was either going to the yard or the cafeteria, but one person… Only Mare had entered a door that Nox naturally didn't even know what it was. This time Nox was truly curious, just as he was about to decide to follow Mare, his stomach growled, he needed to eat. Nox got in line and after waiting in line with unsettling men, he took a soup whose taste was obvious from afar to not be very good, and one piece of bread beside it. Within minutes, Nox quickly ate his meal, and instead of going to the door Mare had gone through, he went out to the yard, he needed air and after eating, his mind had changed, thinking that being this curious wouldn't be good. The sun was about to reach the top when Nox stepped into the yard, he stood still watching the other people, in a stagnant manner, wearing prison clothes, almost like a school uniform, a turquoise t-shirt and matching thin sweatpants, and a logo… There was a logo that said "FC" on the t-shirt, and also on the sweatpants. It was clear that this wasn't a normal prison, after all, the only prison in the world—how could it be normal? "Fury Cane" writings everywhere… Even though Nox hadn't seen him yet, he didn't like the name Fury Cane at all, because he thought that man manipulated his teacher and turned him into a soulless dog, which was partly true. After looking around a bit more, Nox noticed the writing "N Region, Yard" on the yard wall, this prison that covered almost an entire island had, of course, created special areas for each region. Then Nox lifted his head upward, staring blankly at the sky, when someone touched his shoulder from behind. Nox turned around and saw that it was Mare. Mare smiled and said, "What's up?" cheerfully to Nox, but Nox's expression suddenly changed and in a sad, angry, and desperate tone he slightly shouted, "I'm not okay, and… And even if I were okay, what would change?!" He wasn't shouting violently, just loud enough to show what he felt. After hearing this, Mare's smiling face turned into a surprised one, and before Mare could say anything, Nox started speaking again, "And how can you laugh this much!? How can you be this happy in this damn prison…! I don't understand you, you smile every minute, in this damn prison where you can't do anything, you just smile and don't complain at all… What the hell are you!?" After saying this, Nox looked at Mare helplessly, as if expecting an answer… As if wanting Mare to give a convincing answer and comfort him… Mare stared at Nox for a few seconds without saying anything, still smiling, but this time he didn't seem that cheerful… When Mare didn't answer, Nox turned around and started walking away, angry and desperate… But right after Nox turned his back, Mare calmly spoke and said, "Nox… Because I am grateful." After hearing this, Nox became even angrier, because he had never looked at things from this perspective, he turned back and grabbed Mare by the collar… The man who had crushed Nox's fist just yesterday, as if he would shatter it, was doing nothing now… Nox looked at Mare's face… Just looked… While looking, he almost said something but didn't… He couldn't open his mouth against Mare's short but deep sentence… After a while, tears started to stream from Nox's eyes, he released Mare's collar and slowly sat down on the ground… He pulled his knees toward his head and tried to stop his tears… At that moment, "Cry, let your sadness, anger, and despair come out, Nox, because in this life… In this world every night has a morning, a light rises to tear through every darkness, and most importantly… Life is full of surprises… Be grateful that you are alive… Love life and let it flow." Nox heard these words, looked at Mare with reddened eyes, and after Mare said, "Come on, you'll feel relieved." he let his tears flow freely… After crying for a few minutes, he stood up and said to Mare, who had his eyes closed and was breathing in the fresh air, "I'm going to the room." and went inside. Mare also said, "Alright." at that moment, then saw a man passed out in front of him, after waiting a few seconds, a woman who was most likely a nurse came with guards to the fainted man. After seeing this scene, Mare relaxed as if he had been waiting exactly for this moment and went inside as well… But Mare wasn't heading toward the room, he was going to the place right in front of him that said "Infirmary".
IN THE INFIRMARY
Mare knocked on the door that said "Infirmary", a voice from inside calmly said, "You can come in." it was the voice of a slightly old man. Mare slowly opened the door and went inside, the man sitting on the chair across from him, wearing a doctor's coat, slightly old, with hair starting to turn white and wearing glasses, changed his expression when he saw Mare, smiling slyly… The man in the doctor's coat first checked his surroundings, and during this, Mare said, "The nurse isn't here, she's looking after the man who fainted in the yard, how didn't you notice she left?" calmly but cheerfully. The doctor answered while keeping his sly smile, "What are you talking about? It's important for us to always be on alert, anyway… Did you bring what I wanted?" After looking for a moment, Mare took off the slipper on his right foot and pulled out a small stone from inside, it wasn't actually a stone… It was more like a stone-like substance, a solid material. Mare handed the small, solid material to the doctor and said, "My feet hit this with every step I took… It really hurt. I hope this physical pain gets its return, doctor." The doctor replied with his sly smile, "Calm down, my slave… I'll give you your syringe… At some point." After hearing this, Mare shifted from his calm and cheerful state to an angry one and instantly, very quickly grabbed the doctor by the collar and spoke, "Tomorrow is the last day… Damn it, give that damn medicine or I'll—" Mare said angrily, this man who normally was never this angry had lost his temper, but he couldn't finish his sentence… The doctor then burst into laughter and replied, "What, are you going to kill me? You can't… Without me, you are nothing!"
