N REGION, ROOM 10
Nox had returned to the room and was heading toward his bed, he felt a bit relieved thanks to Mare's meaningful words, but some things wouldn't leave his mind… "But still… They killed my teacher, and the killer is still out there… How could Mare understand this anyway…? He's just laughing and enjoying himself, he can't understand me." Nox thought, but there was something else he was thinking about as well… How was Nox caught? Only Akuon and Nox knew they would meet… Maybe Akuon told someone else that they were going there… But if that were the case, how could he have died…? If Akuon had told someone that he was going to meet and confront Nox that night, surely someone would have come to save him, but no one came for Akuon… Or did he act bravely, or did the person he told watch the events from afar and then tell Akuon's father…? At that moment, the thing that had never crossed Nox's mind until then came to him… His hairs stood on end… How could he have forgotten the person he saw while being captured, the one who was with the guards and Akuon's father? The girl Nox valued so much, Lilianne. Was Lilianne the one who told all of this? Of course it wouldn't be strange if she did, because she knew best about what happened between Akuon and Nox. Nox tried to hold himself together, trying to stay calm as he lay down on his bed, all of this wouldn't leave his mind, but despite everything, Nox was able to control himself a little more, of course Mare's meaningful words played a big role in this. A short while after lying down, Nox fell asleep.
AFTER A WHILE, AT THE END OF MEAL AND YARD TIME
The guards started shouting, "YOUR TIME IS UP, EVERYONE RETURN TO YOUR ROOMS!" Nox woke up to the sound of these shouts, slowly opened his eyes and looked around, within minutes the doors were closed, roll calls were being taken in the rooms. But after the doors were completely closed, Nox noticed something, Mare wasn't around. Where could Mare have gone? Nox was curious, and at the same time he needed to use the toilet, Nox slowly got up from his bed and started walking toward the toilet, some people were playing cards at the tables, some were sitting on their beds chatting, Nox got close to the toilet, but the number of toilet stalls was small and there was a short line, Nox started waiting in line, a few seconds later a big, burly man came and shoved Nox aside and cut in front of him, at that moment Nox didn't understand what happened, but when the man cut in front of him, he got angry and shouted at the man, "What the hell are you doing!"
The big man slowly turned around and looked into Nox's eyes, then spoke in an intense and powerful, deep voice, "Shut up, little man." After hearing this, Nox got even angrier, the question marks in his mind had already been piling up anger inside him, Nox angrily tried to push the man, but after this move, the big man in front of him didn't move even a centimeter. The big man started breathing aggressively and loudly through his nose and stared at Nox angrily, after seeing the man's stare, Nox felt a bit uneasy, but he kept staring back angrily as well. After a few seconds, the man raised his arm into the air and got ready to slap Nox, Nox was still standing bravely in front of him, a bit too brave… After preparing to strike, the man powerfully swung his slap toward Nox… Nox put both arms in the direction of the slap to block it and closed his eyes, in that loud room full of prisoners, this was all Nox could do against the big man's slap… The slap was about to hit Nox's arms, even though Nox was slightly trembling, he waited bravely, but… One second, two seconds passed and nothing touched Nox's arms… Nox heard sounds that showed the big man was writhing in pain and slowly opened his eyes, lowered his arms and… It was Mare, it was Mare who saved Nox from that slap, and he was gripping the big man's wrist and twisting it slowly, "Get behind me." Mare said, smiling as he spoke, as always… The big man couldn't endure the pain any longer and shouted, after that Mare released his wrist, the big man shouted "Monster!" pointing at Mare, then quickly walked to the back of the line. After all this, Nox was looking at Mare in shock, Mare turned to Nox and said cheerfully, "I'm back!" After staring in surprise for a few seconds, Nox said, "Thanks. But, you weren't there when the door closed ju—" While Nox was saying this suspiciously and in shock, Mare suddenly cut him off, "Look, it's your turn, aren't you going to the toilet?" After these words, Nox realized it was his turn and although still shocked, without questioning—rather postponing the questioning—he went into the toilet. After a while he came out and washed his hands, at that moment he saw Mare sitting on his own bed, then he went to his own bed and lay half-sitting on the bed under Mare's. Mare leaned his head down from his bed and spoke, "Oh, you didn't answer me!" he said excitedly, while Nox replied, "What didn't I answer?" calmly, but still under the shock of what just happened. "I asked why you came here, and you only said you did something bad." Mare said.
Nox calmly replied, "Oh, I did something bad… I killed someone." After hearing this, Mare stared at Nox in shock for a few seconds, and during this time he started thinking to himself, "Damn… What happened I wonder…" After a bit of time, Nox spoke, "What, are you surprised… Like I said, I killed someone." After that, Mare came back from his thoughts and replied with a smile, "Surprising… Why did you kill someone?" Nox answered, "They took so much from me… No, if I count his brother too… They took everything from me, he deserved to die!" he said in a way that showed his anger, it was obvious he was trying to stay calm. Mare spoke, "What did he do?" he asked, looking at Nox with a curious expression. Nox replied, "He stole the girl I love… And not just that… His damn brother killed my teacher!" he said this time truly angrily, his rage was very clear and this time Nox was having a very hard time holding himself back. When Mare realized this dialogue could create tension, he spoke, "Ah, sorry, I guess it's a sensitive topic… I'm sorry for you." Nox said nothing for a few seconds, then more calmly changed the subject, "Why did you go to prison?" he asked Mare. After hearing this question, a smile appeared on Mare's face, but along with that smile came embarrassment, his face was flushed. He smiled for a few seconds without saying anything, but finally spoke and answered, "I got caught sleeping with a nobleman's wife."
