Star remained crouched beneath the window long after the conversation inside the room slowed into drunken murmurs.
The elders had begun arguing about smaller matters now—money, village budgets, petty rivalries. Their earlier discussion about the Star of Hoshigakure had already faded into the haze of liquor and smoke.
But Star's mind was no longer focused on their words.
He had heard enough.
Slowly, he pulled back from the window and moved into the deeper shadows of the rooftop.
His red eyes stared out across the quiet streets of Hoshigakure.
Lantern light flickered along the narrow roads while distant patrols walked their usual routes.
The village looked peaceful.
Ordinary.
Yet hidden somewhere within it was the meteorite that had shaped its entire history.
Star leaned against the roof tiles and began thinking carefully.
The information he had just learned created a problem.
A dangerous one.
The elders knew about the Star.
The guards who protected it knew.
The Second Hoshikage knew.
Maybe even more people knew.
Normally that wouldn't matter.
But Star wasn't the only one in this world with knowledge from another life.
Reincarnators existed
And reincarnators carried knowledge that normal people didn't.
Even if events in this world were different from the anime…
Someone else might still remember Hoshigakure.
Someone else might remember the meteor.
And if information about the Star spread too far—
If word reached one of the Five Great Nations…
Or another reincarnator…
Or some unknown power that had never appeared in the original story…
The situation could spiral out of control.
Star exhaled slowly.
The solution formed naturally in his mind.
Simple.
Remove the information.
If no one knew about the Star…
Then no one could pursue it.
His gaze drifted back toward the window where the elders were still drinking.
Greedy men.
Selfish men.
They spoke casually about letting shinobi die just to gain power.
They would gladly sacrifice their own villagers if it meant strengthening their position.
Star's eyes hardened slightly.
And the children who trained using the Star's chakra…
They were being raised into weapons.
Young shinobi molded by a power that slowly destroyed their bodies.
Future killers.
Or at the very least—
Potential ones.
In this world, mercy was often mistaken for weakness.
Star pushed himself up from the rooftop slowly.
His decision had already been made.
Anyone who knew about the Star…
Anyone connected to its power…
Would disappear.
No witnesses.
No rumors.
No chance for the secret to spread beyond this village.
'I would simply have to kill everyone... So be it. LET'S BALL!'
Star stepped silently toward the edge of the roof as the lantern light flickered below.
Tonight, Hoshigakure would lose more than just its meteor.
Star looked back at room.
The room was thick with the smell of liquor and smoke.
Lantern light flickered over piles of gold coins, expensive bottles, and scattered pipes of narcotics. The two elders of Hoshigakure sat lazily across from each other, their faces red from drink.
The door slid open with a soft click.
Cold night air flowed inside.
One of the elders frowned, squinting toward the doorway.
"Who's there?" he barked. "Which guard let—"
Star stepped into the room slowly.
Dark hair. Red eyes. A crooked grin stretched across his face.
The elders stared in confusion.
The second elder leaned forward, irritated.
"Who the hell are you? Do you know where you are?"
Star tilted his head slightly.
Then he started laughing.
But in an uneven, almost disturbing way.
"Hehehe… wow… what a room…" he said, glancing around the wealth scattered everywhere. "Liquor… gold… drugs… You old men sure know how to enjoy life."
The first elder slammed his cup onto the table.
"Answer the question! Guards—"
Star raised a hand lazily.
"No need to shout," he interrupted cheerfully. "The guards are sleeping."
He tapped the side of his head with a finger.
"Well… some are sleeping. Others are… permanently retired."
The elders stiffened.
"What do you want?" the second elder asked cautiously.
Star's grin widened.
"Oh nothing important," he said casually. "Just information."
The first elder slowly reached under the table.
"Information about what?"
Star's eyes gleamed.
"The Star of Hoshigakure, of course."
The elders froze.
For a moment the room became completely silent.
Then the first elder suddenly shouted—
"GUAR—"
Star moved.
Several senbon needles flashed between his fingers before flying across the room.
But as they traveled through the air, chakra surged into them.
Star whispered excitedly to himself.
"Let's see if this works again…"
The metal began to twist.
Stretch.Expand.
Using a variant of Kuso Hensei, Star forced chakra directly through the senbon, reshaping their physical structure.
Thin needles suddenly expanded into massive iron spears mid-flight.
The elders' eyes widened in horror.
THUD.
CRASH.
The spears slammed through their bodies and into the wall behind them, lifting them completely off their chairs.
One tried to scream.
Blood filled his mouth before the sound escaped.
The other clawed weakly at the metal rod through his chest.
Star clapped excitedly.
"Ohhh that worked perfectly!"
He stepped forward happily, watching them twitch.
"You know," he said conversationally, tilting his head, "I really hate loose ends."
The elders' bodies slowly went limp.
Star released the chakra.
Instantly the giant spears shrank back into normal senbon.
With nothing supporting them, the corpses slid down the wall and collapsed onto the floor.
The room became silent again.
Star crouched beside one of the bodies.
He poked the elder's cheek lightly.
"Dead already? Aww… that was quick."
He sighed dramatically before standing up.
"Well! Time to continue the job."
As Star looked at the last Elder.
