Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - The Only Solution

"What is the only solution?" A gentle girl with black hair and red eyes named Yat Sen walked up to Purifier and asked in a low voice.

Akashi and Noshiro were engaged in important discussions, and she didn't want to disturb them.

Purifier didn't answer her question but asked with interest, "Does your Port have special Ship Girls called 'META'?"

META—a group who claimed to be remnants clinging to life from the ashes—were special Ship Girls from parallel worlds. After learning about Lu Chen's Port, they lined up to join, seemingly offering themselves. They all had counterparts in the Port with the same name, but their personalities varied subtly.

"There are indeed such Ship Girls among our comrades. You must have met them?"

Purifier showed a look of disdain. "I've crossed paths with them. Those strays really hate my existence, even though the destruction of their world had nothing to do with me."

Albacore said cheerfully, "True, Purifier is so weak, how could she be involved in world destruction?"

"See, even Albacore… Albacore! You're asking for it!" Purifier couldn't help but raise her voice, attracting the confused looks of Akashi and Noshiro. She quickly lowered her head and covered her mouth. "Anyway, the META come from the ruins of destroyed worlds. Their appearance means their respective worlds are finished."

"Respective worlds?" Yat Sen carefully considered the meaning of Purifier's words and asked in surprise, "Are you saying they come from different worlds, and all those worlds were destroyed?"

"Uh-huh. Some were destroyed by the Sirens, some by internal human conflicts…" Purifier counted on her fingers. "Oh dear, too many to count."

Yat Sen pondered. "So, they could only leave their worlds and continue living in relatively peaceful worlds like ours?"

Purifier shook her head, her tone solemn. "This is the only world where they can live securely. Among all parallel worlds that have Sirens and Ship Girls, only this one was not destroyed."

"H-How is that possible?!" Yat Sen covered her mouth in astonishment, afraid of losing her composure and interrupting others.

Yat Sen and Albacore were not the only Ship Girls listening to Purifier's story. Friedrich keenly spotted a problem. She said, "This only means our world hasn't been destroyed yet. It's the last hope."

"No, this is the only solution," Purifier countered. "The fact that we are sitting here calmly chatting is the evidence."

"What do you mean?"

Purifier explained, "The reasons for the destruction of parallel worlds are not the same, but the time of their destruction is the same on a cosmic scale. Let me give you an example: at the exact moment of world destruction, some parallel worlds were fighting World War II, some were already advancing into space, and some had not developed human civilization yet. Do you understand?"

It was the first time Albacore had listened to Purifier's boasting story so seriously. She quickly asked, "Then, when the world was destroyed, what point had our world reached?"

Purifier said word by word: "When Lu Chen used the Wisdom Cube to construct his first starter ship."

"The world-ending crisis ended before we were awakened by the Commander?" Yat Sen murmured.

"The total mass of matter contained in countless parallel worlds is the same, except that our world has an extra Lu Chen. He is a complete anomaly," Purifier said with a complex tone. "Although the Sirens are reluctant to admit it, based on the data and calculations we've gathered, his safety is directly related to the safety of the entire world."

"Then why were you fighting us so fiercely?" Albacore asked confusedly. She then slapped her hand, suddenly enlightened. "Oh! I get it! You were just playing the role of Exp fodder to train us, weren't you?"

"How could that be!" Purifier jumped up. "We only came to this conclusion after communicating with survivors from other worlds a while ago. Just as we were preparing to observe Lu Chen, we found that you had dug him out of a collapsed office building, and he was in a coma! Do you know how much we wanted to kill you all then?!"

After finally finding the key to saving the world and aiming the Siren black technology camera at Lu Chen's Port, a sudden explosion stunned several Sirens. They thought they had mistakenly used a Siren artillery unit instead of a camera.

Following that, a group of Ship Girls surrounded the office ruins, chattering in discussion. Several mischievous little girls ran onto the rubble to play until a little one accidentally tripped and started crying. Only then did someone come forward to clear the debris and find that it was Lu Chen's arm that had tripped the girl.

When the comatose Lu Chen was dug out of the ruins by the Ship Girls, Purifier couldn't help but punch the control panel, hurrying to Lu Chen's Port with bags and packages of equipment.

I must save him. I must save him before those she-devils play with him until he dies. Otherwise, this only surviving world will also fall into crisis. If that happens, everyone will be finished.

Purifier, the Messenger of Justice, began her world-protecting journey.

"Who would have thought the Commander was human from another world? We used to think he was an AI," Albacore scratched her head.

"In short, my superior has given me orders. From now on, I, Purifier, will be stationed in your Port, monitoring your every move to prevent you from secretly harming Lu Chen," Purifier crossed her left leg over her right and said haughtily. "If you don't believe me, ask your own META what their attitude toward Lu Chen is."

The Ship Girls did not respond. It wasn't disbelief; if the Sirens truly had malicious intent, there would be no need to help them awaken the Admiral; standing idly by would be enough to throw the Port into chaos. It was just that this information was too shocking to be digested immediately.

"I apologize for interrupting your philosophical musings, nya," Akashi walked over leisurely. "But I now need to tell you some important points for the Commander to wake up safely, nya."

"Please tell us," Yat Sen was the first to react. She didn't fully understand or care much about parallel worlds or world destruction. Her heart was completely fixed on the comatose Lu Chen.

Akashi cleared her throat and began: "Good news! The Commander has gained self-awareness in the dream. According to my observation feedback, we can wake him up now, nya…"

"Then what are we waiting for?! Taihou can't wait to be intimate with the real Commander~"

"But!" Akashi said slowly, dragging out the word. "The Commander seems to have amnesia. If we rashly wake him up, it might cause him to fall into permanent amnesia."
