Acnologia put strength into his arm and shoved the giant Natsu back. The roar he had just fired swept straight toward him.
"Magic Convergent Cannon—Jupiter! Uranus!"
Ichiya, Alzack, and Bisca operated the Magic Convergent Cannons at the same time, firing into Acnologia's Black Dragon roar.
Even two Jupiters and one Uranus were no match for the Black Dragon's roar.
The energy wave gradually pushed toward the two magic cruisers.
"Rock-Iron Wall!"
Jura's Rock-Iron Wall rose from the ground.
"Tree Realm!"
Warrod controlled countless trees and layered them over the Rock-Iron Wall.
"Ice-Make: Ice Wall!"
Ur, Lyon, and Gray joined forces, raising three ice walls behind the Rock-Iron Wall.
"Amaterasu Defensive Formation!"
Precht pointed his fingers through the air, and in an instant, the Amaterasu defensive formation wrapped around both ships.
Together, they stopped Acnologia's roar.
"Tempest Dragon's Singing Wind and Moon!"
"Sage Dragon's Roar!"
"Sword Saint Dragon's Roar!"
"Moonlight Flame!"
"Crimson Lightning Fire Dragon's Roar!"
"Fire Dragon King's Roar!"
"Sky Dragon's Roar!"
Gajeel, Cobra, and the others added their own roars into the mix as well.
The Dragon Slayer roars, each carrying different combined attributes, wove together into a thick flood of energy that slammed into Acnologia's body.
The Magic Power spilling from the blast shot far out toward the sea and evaporated a massive stretch of seawater.
Even with Acnologia's absurd resistance to Magic, taking so many roars at once was not pleasant.
His black scales burned red-hot, and steam rose from his body.
He had not suffered such serious injuries in a very long time.
Of course, Igneel biting off one of his arms was an exception.
Now, Acnologia finally understood how troublesome it was to have lost that arm.
When Natsu and the others surrounded him, if he still had both arms, he could have simply swung them around and kept everyone from getting close.
But with his left arm gone, the fight had become far more difficult.
Jellal's attack came next.
"True Heavenly Body Magic: Sema!"
Jellal drew a magic circle, one pair of fingers pointing downward and the other toward the sky.
A massive meteor streaked across the heavens, tearing through the clouds as it crashed toward Acnologia.
"Ooooh! That meteor's huge!"
"Something that big could crush him, right?!"
The allied forces did not get to stay excited for long, because Acnologia immediately showed them what it meant to shatter a meteor with one punch.
The enormous meteor cracked apart under Acnologia's fist, while Acnologia himself only took a few steps back.
Irene glanced at Acnologia's condition.
Forget it.
She would not use Deus Sema after all.
But the true killing move was still behind him.
Raizel had hidden himself behind Jellal's Sema.
While everyone was clashing with Acnologia's roar earlier, Raizel had accelerated into the clouds, coordinating his timing with Jellal.
Now, the lance in his hand thrust toward Acnologia's back.
The giant lance carried flames as it pierced through clouds and mist, lighting up the sky in an instant.
It looked as if a huge hole had been torn open in the heavens.
The sacred peak's altitude dropped again.
Amid Acnologia's howl of pain, Raizel pulled the lance out.
Acnologia's blood clung to the weapon and slowly dripped from its tip.
'Too bad. I only hit his wing. I couldn't pierce his heart.'
At the final moment, Acnologia had beaten his wing and shifted his position slightly. The price he paid was a huge hole punched through his right wing.
August planted his magic staff into the ground and formed seals with both hands.
Boundless Chaos Magic Power filled the sacred peak.
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, gold, white, black...
Eight magic circles of different colors appeared one after another in front of his staff.
"Enchant: Composite Dragon Slayer Beam!"
Every attribute had been collected by August from the scattered Magic Power on the battlefield.
The instant August pressed his index and middle fingers together on both hands, a red beam first passed through the first magic circle, then orange, then yellow, and so on, until it finally passed through the black magic circle.
A multi-attribute Dragon Slayer beam burst from the formation, tearing through the earth.
Its terrifying heat twisted the air as it blasted into Acnologia again.
"That spell's power... is close to Etherion, isn't it?"
Precht and Warrod exchanged a glance, both somewhat moved.
"And he's still giving part of his Magic Power to Natsu," Ur added.
The sacred peak shook violently again.... and once again, it became shorter.
Everyone clearly felt the temperature around them rise, the air turning scorching hot, and they hurriedly pulled back.
When the beam collided with Acnologia, it caused a violent explosion.
A huge mushroom cloud rose above the sacred peak.
As the smoke and dust slowly cleared, a massive crater several dozen meters wide appeared where Acnologia had stood.
Even so, Acnologia still had no serious injuries.
The Magic resistance granted by his scales was probably as high as ninety-nine point nine percent.
A composite Dragon Slayer beam that no one else present could have endured was something he could take head-on.
"Looks like we still need close combat." August shook his head helplessly.
That was already the limit of what he could currently do.
Fortunately, in Evil Thought Possession, he could also fight at close range with his magic staff.

With Natsu and Laxus leading the Dragon Slayer Mages, everyone rushed into close combat, their limbs wrapped in Dragon Slayer Magic Power.
Gildarts, Makarov, Wolfheim, and Elfman all charged forward. Jura and Richard also controlled rock and earth Magic to launch another attack.
Jellal used Meteor to accelerate, trying to harass Acnologia up close.
"And we're here too!"
Erza flew into the sky in her Ink Dragon Armor, narrowly avoiding Acnologia's claw swipe.
She circled behind him and, at the wound Raizel had just created, spun once and struck with both her Fangtian Halberd and the dragon-slaying sword.
Erza did not get greedy.
Once she dealt damage, she immediately pulled away.
When Acnologia prepared to attack Erza, Mira swept in from the other side and raked her claws across him as well.
After each close-range strike, they withdrew, and what greeted Acnologia next was live ammunition.
