Chapter 220 - Chapter 220: Lacus and Her Group on the Road

Beams streaked across the airspace, followed by two bright explosions erupting ahead.

At the moment of the explosions, the Genesis Gundam retracted its two Whale Plasma Cluster Beam Cannons and fired its Beam Rifle toward the left front.

A Strike Dagger preparing to fire was pierced through.

Watching the explosion's blaze, Felix's fingers moved across the command buttons. The Genesis Gundam raised its shield, blocking a beam shot from the right front, then immediately fired the Beam Rifle in that direction.

After this shot, the Genesis Gundam moved to the left rear, evading beams fired from behind and the left.

DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannons detached from the Destiny Support Fighter and, under Felix's control, fired in multiple directions.

Three Strike Daggers and three Mobius units were pierced.

With the attack complete, the DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannons maneuvered through the air.

The Genesis Gundam altered its back thruster direction, causing the frame to drop downward as multiple beams passed through where it had just been.

As the falling Genesis Gundam deployed its Whale Plasma Cluster Beam Cannons and prepared to fire, Intuition provided feedback. Felix quickly adjusted the controls, and the Genesis Gundam shifted to the left front.

A missile flew past the Genesis Gundam's rear at that moment.

The Genesis Gundam fired its Beam Rifle toward the left rear, destroying the missile in flight.

Beep, beep, beep!!!

An alarm blared inside the cockpit.

Felix frowned slightly, then glanced at the instrument panel. Seeing that one DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannon had been destroyed, his furrowed brow relaxed.

He continued controlling the Genesis Gundam to evade.

After dodging a beam from the left front, the Genesis Gundam immediately raised its Beam Rifle to counterattack.

Firing one shot, the Genesis Gundam moved to the right front, avoiding beams fired successively from the left front, rear, and right.

His finger pressed the trigger, and the Destiny Support Fighter revealed its Siren Beast Cannon.

The muzzle emitted a thick Sandwich Beam.

The beam traveled and struck a Beam Cannon Turret on a Nelson-class Battleship.

A violent explosion ensued.

After firing, the Destiny Support Fighter evaded attacks, and the Siren Beast Cannon began recharging.

A thick beam shot from the barrel.

The beam pierced another Beam Cannon Turret.

After this shot, Felix controlled the Destiny Support Fighter to retreat.

The moving Destiny Support Fighter faced fire from multiple Strike Daggers in various directions, along with beams fired from battleships.

Inside the Genesis Gundam's cockpit

Felix observed the Destiny Support Fighter's situation and was about to take action when he noticed another Destiny Support Fighter facing the same predicament.

As both were in critical moments, the Genesis Gundam also came under fire from multiple directions.

With all three situations occurring simultaneously, Felix's mind raced, and his highly active Seed Factor surged once more.

'No good, I can't control all three to evade at the same time.'

After such deliberation, Felix still couldn't find a solution that would allow all three to break through simultaneously. Decisively, Felix chose to abandon one of the Destiny Support Fighters.

As Felix executed the command, the abandoned Destiny Support Fighter fired its beam cannon.

Following this shot, Felix shut down the Neutron Jammer Canceller.

An explosion erupted the next moment.

Two Strike Daggers were destroyed while the Destiny Support Fighter also exploded.

At the moment of the explosion, the Genesis Gundam and the other Destiny Support Fighter successfully evaded the attack.

Just then, Aric's voice came through the comms.

"Captain, are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

Responding flatly, Felix piloted the Genesis Gundam to move forward-left while firing the Beam Rifle toward the left side.

By dodging the attack, the Genesis Gundam also avoided the danger.

...

Meanwhile

In the space between L4 region and the Moon

"Mr. Waltfeld, how is the battle on the Moon progressing?"

Lacus sat in the captain's chair, her worried eyes fixed ahead as she asked with some unease.

Hearing this, Andrew turned to look at Lacus, shaking his head with a grave expression.

"Miss Clyne, with limited intelligence, we cannot obtain timely updates on the Moon's battle situation."

Upon hearing this, Lacus's anxiety deepened, though she forced herself to remain calm as she instructed.

"Find a way to get the battle status."

Andrew nodded in response.

"Don't worry, Miss Clyne. I will."

After replying, Andrew turned back to face forward, giving instructions to Martin.

At the same time

On a battleship accompanying the Eternal

"Ro, are we really going to join the war between the Earth Alliance and PLANT?"

Yamabuki Juri looked at Ro with nervous apprehension as she asked.

Ro turned to face Juri, revealing a confident smile as he comforted her.

"Don't worry. We're just following Miss Clyne to stop the war, not to fight to the death with them."

He added.

"Besides, the Earth Alliance and ZAFT are fighting so intensely they won't pay much attention to us. We'll be fine."

Despite Ro's reassurance, Shuri remained fearful, asking timidly.

"Really?"

"It's true."

Nodding with a smile, Ro continued.

"And when the time comes, I'll pilot the Red Frame to protect you and everyone else. I won't let anything happen to you."

After speaking, Ro reached out and patted Shuri's shoulder, then lifted his gaze to look out the viewport.

Meanwhile, on the Archangel

Miriallia paused her steps while heading to the Bridge, her eyes falling on Dearka standing near the viewport ahead. Sensing the worry and pain emanating from him, Miriallia changed her route and walked toward Dearka.

"What are you doing here?"

A familiar voice sounded in his ear, and Dearka turned to look. Seeing it was Miriallia, he buried his worry and pain deep inside, forcing a smile as he greeted her.

"What are you up to, Miriallia?"

"Heading to the Bridge."

Standing beside Dearka, Miriallia turned to gaze out the viewport, replying calmly.

After speaking, she turned her gaze to Dearka and spoke softly to comfort him.

"Everything will be fine, and we'll arrive soon."

"Mm."

Hearing the reassurance, Dearka nodded calmly in acknowledgment.

Lifting his head to look out the window at the cosmos beyond, Dearka pressed his lips together and said.

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it."

Waving her hand, Miriallia replied with a smile.

As she spoke, Miriallia patted Dearka's shoulder and smiled.

"If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now."

Without waiting for a response, Miriallia prepared to depart. Seeing this, Dearka instinctively called out.

"Wait a moment!"
