Seeing Patrick's resolute expression, Ezalia stopped trying to persuade him and could only nod in agreement.

After speaking calmly, Patrick ended the communication.

Patrick, who had rushed over, sat in the leading position, watching the data display for GENESIS. His voice was slightly hoarse as he spoke.
"Begin charging GENESIS!"

The commander of Jachin Due Fortress saluted and replied in a loud voice.
Lowering his saluting arm, the commander ordered all staff.
"GENESIS begins charging!"
The brief command was relayed, and the staff began preparations. GENESIS, concealed by the Mirage Colloid System, started charging.
Patrick watched the changing values, his fingers lightly tapping on the table.
The Jachin Due Fortress commander turned to Patrick and inquired about the attack target.
"Chairman, what is our target for this attack?"
"Aim at the Earth Alliance Forces on the moon!"
Patrick glanced up at his subordinate and stated the target.
Felix continued with his pursuit mission, but inwardly he was growing anxious.
He repeatedly analyzed Patrick's command in his mind.
A few seconds later, Felix reached a conclusion, and his expression instantly turned grave.
'GENESIS is likely going to be activated.'
He thought to himself, then operated the buttons on his communicator, sending an encrypted communication to the Athena.
Athena
Aric received the encrypted communication from Felix.
Seeing the content, he didn't hesitate and immediately used encrypted communication to contact the person who had been stationed inside Jachin Due Fortress long ago.
After completing everything, Aric resumed his command duties.
Jachin Due Fortress
Phipps read the encrypted communication, and his expression immediately turned extremely serious.
After a moment, he completely destroyed the communication and stood up, heading out of the room.
Once outside the fortress, Phipps thought to himself.
'I must complete the Captain's orders!'

"Miss Clyne, the Earth Alliance Forces and ZAFT have engaged in battle again."
Andrew looked at Lacus and informed her of the battle news.
Hearing the news, Lacus's expression turned serious as she issued orders.
"Have Kira and Athrun pilot their MS, equip the Meteor units, and set out first. The rest of us will follow behind!"
"Understood!" Andrew acknowledged and opened the communication, continuing, "Kira, Athrun, it's time for you to move!"
"Got it!"
Kira and Athrun's voices came through the communication simultaneously.
Eternal Ready Room
After responding, Kira and Athrun exchanged glances. Then Athrun patted Kira's shoulder, smiling faintly with a serious tone.
"It's time for us to sortie!"
"Yeah."
Looking at Athrun, Kira nodded lightly.
As the ready room door opened, Kira and Athrun headed toward the hangar.
"Kira!"
A call sounded from behind.
Kira halted his steps, and Athrun stopped as well, glancing back at Flay approaching from behind. Athrun patted Kira's shoulder.
"I'll head over first."
The brief words were spoken.
Athrun then walked forward, helmet in hand.
After Athrun left, Kira turned and walked up to Flay. Releasing his grip on the helmet, he reached out and gently wrapped his arms around Flay's waist.
His eyes filled with affection, his voice tender as he spoke.
"Flay!"
Hearing Kira's call, Flay looked at him with the same gaze, then stepped forward and embraced him tightly.
Feeling Flay's warm embrace, Kira also sensed the worry in her heart through her hold.
After a moment, Flay spoke with a voice tinged with concern and sorrow.
"Kira, you're all I have left."
Hearing this, Kira's body trembled, and images flashed through his mind. As the scenes replayed in his thoughts, he held Flay tightly, his voice low yet resolute as he promised.
"Flay, don't worry! I will definitely return safely."
After making his promise, Kira gently patted Flay's back. The next moment, he released her. Feeling Kira's warm embrace fade away, Flay clasped her hands together in prayer.
Her eyes were full of worry as she watched Kira.
Sensing Flay's gaze, Kira's soft heart was stirred, but as he thought of his mission, his resolve hardened once more.
"I'm leaving!"
A brief and calm farewell was spoken.
Flay's eyes reddened, heavy with concern, then she nodded to Kira.
Under Flay's gaze, Kira picked up his helmet again, his eyes filled with reluctance as he turned and walked away.

Athrun, waiting for the system self-check to complete, received a communication.
The moment the call connected, Cagalli's face appeared on the screen.
The serious and grave expression on Athrun's face softened as he saw Cagalli, a gentle smile appearing as he greeted her.
"Cagalli."
"Are you heading out?"
Cagalli, observing Athrun's current attire, asked calmly with a note of concern.
Athrun nodded gently.
"Yes. We're heading out."
Hearing this, Cagalli thought for a moment before replying with a calm reminder.
"Be careful!"
Listening to her caring words, Athrun smiled warmly, feeling a surge of warmth in his heart, and nodded to Cagalli.
"I will!"
"I won't keep you any longer."
Having received Athrun's assurance, Cagalli pressed her lips together and responded.
With that, the communication ended.
The Justice Gundam's self-check was also completed at that moment.

"Kira Yamato, Freedom Gundam, launching!"
Lacus, watching the Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam advance ahead, gave a serious order.
"Eternal, set sail!"
"Understood!"
Felix, piloting the Genesis Gundam, pursued at high speed while using his abilities to sense everything around him.

'It's them!'
Once confirmed, a piercing coldness flashed in Felix's eyes as he pushed the acceleration pedal down even harder.
The Genesis Gundam's speed increased once again!
With slight adjustments to the control stick, the Genesis Gundam charged straight toward the target.
