10 minutes later
"So, yeah... That's everything you need to know.", Gridlock said.
Tomo was shocked. She said, "According to everything you've told me, Tin must be on Optoh because that evil organization called Andromedous must be using it to wage war with The Vectors to forcefully gain the approval."
Gridlock said, "Yes, that's probably the case. It pains me to think that Tin is being used for something so heinous..." He, in his head, said, "Even though I've used to commit many heinous crimes before... heh..."
Finn said, "If they're initiating an attack on the vectors, that must mean they've forcefully taken all the approvals from the rest of the chosen planets... This is their final step... After it, they'll do it. They'll become The Andromeda Galaxy's first ever Galactic Government."
Gridlock replied, "They're gonna be establishing all sorts of horrible rules and laws. All for their own benefit and nothing else."
Finn said, "We have to stop them, Mr. James."
Tomo was stunned by all of this. When Tomo had isolated herself on Nirmi, Andromedous hadn't even been formed yet.
Gridlock said, "Tomo, Listen. When I told you that I needed your help for the greater good, I wasn't lying. Me and Finn plan to go against Andromedous and for that, we at least needed a spacecraft able to jump into hyperspace."
Tomo replied, "Son, you plan to take on this entire organization with just a help of a kid? Have you gone mad? It's too dangerous..."
Gridlock said, "Maybe along the journey, We'll make more allies. But for now, it's just me and the kid."
Tomo was so concerned for Gridlock, someone she considered one of her sons.
"I'll go with you... My Omnipresence will surely be of great help."
"No, Tomo. You deserve to rest here and live the life you desire. I have no right to disrupt it."
"Nonsense, You need me."
"Tomo, I promise we'll succeed without you and not let ourselves be harmed."
This conversation between Tomo and Gridlock left Tomo feeling frustrated.
Tomo said, "At the very least, let me know if things go wrong and I'll come help."
Tom then went to a safe and took out a blaster and gave it to Gridlock.
"Listen, Son. This blaster is called a 'Porter Gun'. It's blasts are way stronger than that of regular blasters but the main reason I'm giving you this is the little button on the side. I connected my Omnipresence with this device back when I created it on Optoh. When you press that button, it'll send out a signal to me and I'll immediately come to help. Got it?"
"I got it, Tomo.", Gridlock replied.
Tomo looked over at Finn and said, "Listen, child. It seems you've had a very positive influenc on my son and I'm grateful for it. Please understand that he is very important to me and keep him safe."
Finn replied, "Of course, Ma'am. Mr. James is very important to me as well."
Gridlock said, "I'm the one who'll be protecting you, kid. Don't overestimate yourself."
Tomo said, "Well then, I guess it's time for you two to go on your quest. I wish you two the best of luck."
Finn replied, "Thank you, Ma'am." Gridlock said, "Keep yourself safe too, Tomo. We'll come celebrate with you after we dismantle Andromedous."
"Goodbye."
Tomo's elevated voice had returned. The voice that had initially frightened Finn now calmed him. He needed it since he was about to go on the most dangerous mission of his life.
So then, Finn and Gridlock began walking towards The Drifters' Spaceship.
On the way, Gridlock said, "Hey kid, There's something I need to talk to you about."
Finn replied, "What is it, Mr. James?"
"When you went out to explore for a bit, there was another you with me. An impersonator."
"What? Really?"
"It was most likely just a hallucination. I was pretty stressed because of all the stuff that happened on Vorjinn Prime."
"What if it wasn't? Maybe it was a weird creature with the ability to shapeshift? Is it still there? Is Tomo in danger?"
"Tomo can easily take care of herself from anything. It was probably just my mind playing tricks on me since the fake you just disappeared when you and Tomo came back."
"Oh... Then, it probably was."
"Yeah... But whatever, let's not waste our energy thinking about that. We have much more important things ahead and we need to hurry too since Andromedous is already on the hunt for the final approval."
"Let's trust The Vectors and hope they can hold out for a while."
Finn and Gridlock eventually reached The Drifters' Spaceship and launched themselves into Outerspace.
The positioning system was leading them exactly to Tin's location on Optoh.
"Brace yourself, kid."
For the first time in a long time, The Drifters' Spaceship jumped into Hyperspace.
Finn and Gridlock were now about to join the war between Andromedous and The Vectors.
