Chapter 1 - Not my girl ...

Chapter 2

- What do you mean by who? of course I'm talking to you

Berry wanted to tell him something, she just didn't know how to start, she was not sure how he will react but she thought he deserved to know.

- I... I think we have matters to set straight.

- I don't have any matter whatsoever to set straight with you, sorry, I have to go to work now.

- I didn't mean it like that, why are you hell-bent on dying on the wrong way of seeing things?

- Enough Berry Anne this conversation doesn't have its place! It's taking us - everywhere but somewhere. I already told you I have to return to work.

He scolded. He was losing it. If matters were crooked, he wasn't willing to make things easier for her by straightening them.

He walked away, he looked annoyed, sounded annoyed he even smelled annoyance he was drunk of it.

He drove to the central town in his black Lexus. Soon enough he noticed he was tailed. He just tried to escape at first but when he saw who it was... he had a change of mind.

He rode faster to test his follower's determination to get killed that night, as expected the person also sped up. He changed direction, he headed for an old bar at one of those infamous quarters. His father was definitely doing him a favour sending spies after him tonight, he really needed some one to torture.

.....

- So you finally came, thought you will be babysitting your girl tonight.

Sam taunted.

Nathanael sighed as he sat at the counter beside the pretty boy.

- Don't tell me about it. Babysitting is not my thing and Berry is not my girl.

- You didn't have a fight tonight again, you are unbelievable.

- It isn't my fault she said I wore a tuxedo at our wedding is that even possible?

- Yeah. She's... unbelievable. rags might look good on you but a tuxedo can't. a beggar roaming the streets is more attractive than you in a tuxedo now that I think about it.

- You know what, forget what I said. How far have you gone?

- Nothing strange so far...

There were plenty of girls there. I mean ones eyes were not bored at all.

There was this blond with blue eyes, I lost count how many times I caught her gazing straight at me so I picked up my glass left Sam at the counter and went to meet her.

When our gaze met she smiled and walked away.

- See pretty face , she got nervous and left. Have you ever experienced that?

I taunted him. He's got a pretty face but I have a pretty brain.

- No. Girls run after me, not the other way round -talk less of running away from me, Lemiel.

- Thaniel for crying out loud not Lemiel

He's always calling me that it sucks!

- Whatever. I think you should pay attention to what you doing.

- I know what am doing.

- Yeah... but Berry...

- She's fine and if she's not now she will be tomorrow.

- Hey dude, don't you love her anymore?

I don't think it's about love it's about reality. We don't have any chances to be together so I'll reach out for something within my reach. I'm not even sure I had liked the girl before.

- She seems delicious.

- Who ?! Berry?

- The blond fish.

- I'll say she's a bad book did you even notice her cover.

- Never judge a book by it's cover, we never know how good it tastes unless we devoured it .

Sam shook his head in disbelief. He didn't expect the man to just le go leave his life like nothing held him back. He wanted to stop his comrade from having fun considering how many reasons he had but he won't, he will let the savant alone, maybe he...

- Won't you chase after your new found toy? I bet she's waiting for you out...

- I know, I want to see how patient she is. Her reaction when she get's furious... maybe...haha... whatever.

Thaniel glanced at his wristwatch and smiled. One more minute and he was sure they won't have to wait any longer.

He removed a banknote and placed it on counter. His action spoke volumes to Sam who stood just after him. Play time was over. He moved and in an instant he was outside seemingly contemplating his new toy he was no longer fund of.

She didn't seem to notice as he approached him. She was so into a conversation with one shady guy that seemed displeased with her.

"Na- hi", she exclaimed as she turned to face him shocked. Thaniel smiled very fondly. She thought he was flirting but he did that to avoid her suspicions.

He lowered his head towards her, his breath mingled with hers, he faced Sam. who stood at the doorpost, as if he was just leaning in on her just to whisper the words he did.

- Hi, pretty face.

He winked, his smile never faded all along. Sam couldn't believe him. He just left. Thaniel just chuckled at his reaction before retreating to a less intimate position.

- You know me, huh?...

He didn't expect himself to be so straight to the point. He cursed himself inwardly for not dragging the play longer but what was done was done.

- ...Have you being... stalking me or something?

He asked charmingly with the sexiest voice he could muster, trying to buy time. The girl couldn't sense it could she?

- No, I don't know you. I just heard your friend call out your name inside.

She lied. He knew it because Sam just never called him any shade of Nathan – ever.

Now she had once more proven that his gut couldn't fail him. He leaned in,

" Who?!"...
