Chapter 90 - Heading to Fontaine

"Ah... I'm so bored!"

Elliot was sprawled out on the grass outside Sumeru City, letting out a near-wail toward the sky, his limbs flailing wildly, looking exactly like a Crab flipped onto its back.

"We can't even hold concerts anymore."

Jesse stood nearby with his arms crossed, his tone full of unwillingness.

"We even finished making the flag for the 'Hilichurl Rock Band'!"

He kicked a stone at his feet.

"But they stopped us, citing 'noise pollution'... even though it sounded great!"

"Be content."

Zane, carrying his thunder hammer, glared at him irritably.

"At least for the past two days, we managed to squeeze plenty of tears out of the Sumeru people under the guise of 'artistic exchange'."

He sighed.

"I told you not to play so many sad songs, but in the end, Elliot, you actually played several videos of desert people mating with pigs."

"That was a tribute! A tribute!"

Elliot sat up with a quick back handspring, speaking righteously.

"It was the fusion of cultures! It was cross-world artistic resonance!"

"Resonance my foot! Sumeru only has a culture similar to India!"

Zane raised his thunder hammer.

"Say one more word and I'll let you resonate with the taste of the Electro Element."

Elliot instantly shrank behind Matt: "Brother Gu! Protect me!"

Matt, hearing this, gave a simpleminded "Oh," moved his seven-meter-tall body like a small mountain, and muttered: "Zane, stop hitting Elliot. His brain isn't good to begin with."

Elliot: "...Whose side are you on?"

Zane: "Where's my Guillotine? Jesse, help me find it."

"No, no, no!"

Paimon flew up quickly, waving her hands in fright.

"That wouldn't be 'boredom,' that would be 'gone'!"

Lumine sighed, rubbing her forehead, already numb to the daily antics of this group.

"Is Momonga going to stay in Sumeru?"

Matt turned his head and asked.

"Yes."

Zane answered on his behalf.

"After all, Sumeru is currently waiting to be rebuilt, and the Lord of Wisdom has just returned. Manpower is severely lacking, so it's most appropriate for Momonga to stay and assist Nahida and Greater Lord Rukkhadevata."

Although Momonga actually wanted to slack off more, he still had to listen to the quartet.

"Then don't we have nothing to do?"

Jesse's eyes suddenly lit up.

"How about we take a trip to Fontaine while we have the chance? We're idle anyway, and they have advanced technology and opera house serials there. It's the perfect time to go investigate!"

"Great idea!"

Elliot immediately revived, leaping up and pointing into the distance.

"Let's go! Head to the Nation of Water! Let the skies of Fontaine also resound with the prestige of our Hilichurl... ah, no, our Honorary Knight status!"

"Keep your voice down!"

Paimon stamped her feet in urgency.

"Don't cause any more major incidents! You guys have truly terrified me! You almost blew up an entire mountain; you tried to discuss finance with the Graded Mercenaries using Hilichurlian; and you held a 'Hilichurl Dance' flash mob in the desert... I beg you, just settle down!"

Lumine nodded silently, deeply agreeing.

The destructive power of these four Honorary Knights is too abstract.

"Wolf King!"

Matt's booming voice rang out.

"Understood, my Masters."

The Wolf King, who had been standing silently nearby in its three-meter-tall white werewolf form, responded and moved.

Its external armor quickly unfolded and rearranged, accompanied by the whirring of precise gears and engines from within. Its body rapidly expanded, transforming in the blink of an eye into a towering twenty-meter-tall silver-white humanoid mecha. Its streamlined torso reflected the sunlight, and its eye sensors glowed with a deep blue light.

"No matter how many times I see it, it looks so cool!"

Elliot exclaimed.

Lumine scooped up Paimon and easily leaped into the cockpit located in the Wolf King's chest.

the quartet skillfully climbed onto the Wolf King's external armor, each finding a secure handhold—Jesse and Elliot clung to the shoulder armor, Zane held onto an arm, and Matt simply sat on the Wolf King's back.

"Hold tight."

The Wolf King's deep mechanical voice sounded. Thrusters on its back and feet sprayed out streams of brilliant white particles, and the powerful thrust instantly propelled its massive body high into the sky, speeding toward Fontaine, leaving only a fading white line in the clouds.

Inside Sumeru City, within the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

Nahida looked through the window at the quickly vanishing trace in the sky, blinking her large eyes: "They... just left?"

Momonga (whose skull showed no expression), who was using magic to process ten documents simultaneously nearby, paused his pen: "Yes, according to Jesse, it's 'a spontaneous trip'."

Behind the desk, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata rubbed her temples, looking exhausted at the mountain of documents piled on the table, as well as Alhaitham, who had just been carried out on a stretcher by two Nazarick guards, completely "knocked out" by paperwork.

"Ah... although they certainly caused a lot of trouble."

Greater Lord Rukkhadevata sighed, but her tone carried a hint of subtle nostalgia and gratitude.

"But they helped us so much. Purifying the withering zone, calming the sandstorms, and finding you... I haven't even had a chance to thank them properly."

A red light flickered faintly in Momonga's eyes: "No need to worry. They will most likely be 'escorted' back by the Fontaine authorities very soon for 'causing another major incident.' You will have your chance then."

Nahida & Greater Lord Rukkhadevata: "..."

Suddenly, they felt a little worried about the public order in Fontaine.
