Aisling hears a clank, thinking she is back home, she stirs awake.
Thinking of seeing her parents again instead she is opening her eyes she sees a white ceiling "Not again." She groans.
"You're awake!" She hears.
She jolts, hisses, and tries to hide under the bed.
"What am I a cat...?" She asks, peaking from under the bed to see a figure with ram-like horns, big feet, and looks sort of muscular?
"I know you're scared." The ram-horned figure said.
"No shit sherlock." Aisling thought hissing.
"I'm going out to get the doctor, so stay here and rest." The figure said as he closed the door with a quiet click.
She gets out from under the bed.
"Ugh, I'm still numb and shaky from the poison." Aisling thought.
"Where am I?" She asks.
Around her Aisling sees that she is in some sort of medieval hospital room that used to be someone's house?
She looks around to see a mirror, she moves towards it.
Aisling starts to be weird like she not used to her body but it's not just from being poisoned.
Aisling gets to mirror to see she is not on four legs but two. "Wolf and human ears, cat-like eyes, her body is bigger than her Chimera body. Aisling looks younger in this human-like body about mid-teenager. Who knows. Aisling notices she still have claws, but they are more nail-like. Her hair is a shade of blue violet; her eyes are two distinct colors one blue one purple.
"I'm some sort of furry, hybrid now?" "Great." Aisling grimaces.
"Status window." She thought. The Status window appears.
As Aisling hears a knock and the status window disappears.
The figure with the ram horns brought with him a man that looked like a human. Yet he didn't feel human.
"No..thi.ng ri.ght." Aisling blurts out.
"I thought that was in my head. Right?" She thought.
"Is that so?" The human like man says in response.
"Can you tell me if something hurts?" The human like man asks.
"Nu. mb.fe..els..bo..dy." Aisling replies.
"What the heck why do I keep telling him things?" She thinks.
The human-like man comes closer, "Its okay, I just need you to tell where it hurts and take a closer look.
"Wait, Conri she's clearly scared." The man with the ram horns said.
The Conri steps away, "Don't worry Gerald I have been hurt by stronger monsters.
"Sigh, that's not the point who knows what she went through in the forest or even before that." Gerald said.
While they were talking, Aisling attempted to disappear with her stealth skill to sneak past them. But the Conri guy noticed her.
"Nahh, missy you're staying in this room." He says as he tries to pick me up.
"Ugh, you're heavier than you look." Conri said.
"Conri, you have no tact." Gerald retorts.
"It just slipped out." Conri said smirking.
Aisling tries to slip out of his grasp but to no avail.
"Are…who?" She says aloud.
Conri gently places her on the bed.
"I'm Conri, a healer." "Do you know your name?" He continued as he crouched.
"IM…Ling---cough...hack…" Aisling suddenly can't breathe, and her head starts ringing 'NEVER REVEAL YOUR WHOLE NAME!"
"Are you okay!" Gerald says coming to her side. Conri pulls him away.
"What'd you do that for?!" Gerald says pushing Conri.
"She's cursed." Conri explains.
Gerald's eyes widen.
"I've seen it before, people can't say a certain piece or pieces of information, names, places anything you can think of." "I've heard them talk about a system or some nonsense and die from a suddenly, from sudden illnesses, accidents, etc.
"This poor girl must have been dumped by her parents after discovering about her weird abilities." Conri whispers.
"It's okay just tell me a nick name." Conri inches closer.
"Ash…" Aisling says through gasps.
"Okay. Ash." "This is Gerald if you need anything just tell him." Conri says.
Aisling nod, as Conri starts to examine her.
He has no instruments like a doctor on earth; he places his hand above her heart. He mumbles something she can't make out and both his hands and eyes glow.
Aisling flinches as he scans his hand above her body.
Gerald chimes in "I think this is all she can take."
Conri pauses, closes his eyes, and lowers his hand.
"Your mana doesn't look blocked, even after you are coughing up all that blood, but your throat needs to heal, so no more talking. He says as he is searching through his pouches.
"Ah ha!" He stops at the third pouch.
"Here Ash, I found you a bell, so if you need me or Gerald, we can hear you."
"Just until your throat clears." He says as he hands me the bell.
"Ah, I almost forgot!" He says.
Conri goes through his pouches again taking out this glass bottle full of foul-looking liquid.
"I know it will hurt but try to take sips from this bottle, twice a day until your throat stops hurting," He continues.
Aisling nods taking the glass bottle from him.
"Alright, kid get some rest." Gerald and Conri both say as they both walk out of the room. Closing the door gently behind them.
"Sigh, I guess what the Chimera told me was true, I can't say my full name I gave myself." Aisling thought.
"What's the point, of having a name and why would the system go to such lengths?"
"As always too questions not enough answers." She continues to think.
Aisling looks at the glass medicine bottle, grabs it and opens it.
"Yuck, it smells as worse than molded food." she pinches her nose and takes a sip.
As the mixture goes down her throat her body and eyes start to feel heavy.
