Chapter 21
The second morning, the two brothers took Rihannat and folakemi to school. It was all chatter and laughter till they arrived at school. Folakemi was so happy to the extent that she slept with Rihannat in her room the night before.
So Rihannat, expect us anytime starting from today to always check on you. And now we don't need to worry about folakemi. We believe she's in good hands. Oladeji said as he wink at Rihannat.
Rihannat smiled but said nothing.
Olalekan parked at the front of their school hostel. They all get down and the two brothers helped them with their bags. More of foods and gifts for Rihannat; clothes, shoes, bags, foodstuffs. Very few things for folakemi.
Rihannat did not know that the two brothers have slip 2parcels of money inside her bag. After their parents gave her 2parcels, she collected one by force and return the second. So they slip their own money inside her bag without her notice because they know she won't collect it. Although folakemi knows, she won't say as she also want her friend to take the money.
Rihannat sighed for the umpteenth time. This bags are too much.... oladeji cuts her off.
"Who said that? You can share with your friends in school as a souvenir. And its not even much, just some countable bags." Olalekan said.
Is it until they are uncountable before they becomes too much? She asked amused.
Exactly my dear, he responded with a smirk.
Their banter continues until all the bags were taken to their steps were they have to stop since its girls hostel.
The two brothers hugged their sister, folakemi and waved goodbye to Rihannat before departing.
"Thanks for your care, support, famillia love, protection and help. It was really fantastic being in your house and I had a great fun all thanks to you for accepting me and allowing me to network during your party. It gave me the access to meet people I don't even know if I will ever come across easily like this. People from the business and political world. And this will help my journey in the future. May Allah bless your family. Thanks for allowing me to use your influence." She had told the two brothers before they left. Even though she had thanked fola's parents, she still feels like it's not enough .

In the hostel.
"Rihannat!!! Alhamdulillah. We thought you have forgotten us ni!? We called your number only to hear, I will call you later please, since yesterday, o ga o"; Balkis and Rayyan walked in some minutes after Rihannat and folakemi entered the room.
"News traveled faster" folakemi said.
Rayyan bombarded Rihannat with questions without waiting for answers. Showing her annoyance. She neglected folakemi totally.
"Did you know how many times Basit came to us to ask of you? You didn't tell him and I told you to inform him!, You said you will use 1day but ended up using 2days. " Rayyan queried.
Rihannat looked at her apologetically. I am very sorry. I had alot of orders and sales yesterday so I couldn't pick your call, you won't believe I sold all the works I took along, I even do some few works there yesterday but towards the end of the event I was almost embarrased but Allah saved me from misfortune. I was so occupied, please forgive me. You know I will never do that unless something happened. And is it really compulsory I tell basit where I'm going? Its not. I will tell him when I see him later.
Wait. Wait. What happened? Start your narration now. We have all day. Rayyan sat on the floor, staring at her with I'm listening eyes while Balkis kept quiet the whole time.
Rihannat explained all what happened, starting from how she met folakemi family, how good, welcoming, embracing and caring they were to her, how her brothers took her as a sister, how she met with influential people from both political and business world, how people praised, loved and appreciated her work and collected her phone number, how folakemi's parent announced her as their goddaughter.
Rayyan anger has long been forgotten due to her level of happiness. She was very elated and thankful for her friend. She turned to folakemi for the first time since they'd entered to say some words of thanks and apologise for her earlier rudeness and attitude towards her.
When she also heard that folakemi has changed for better and has become friends with Rihannat, she immediately accepted her as friend too. Rihannat showed the bags of gifts she brought. They were amazed. "Wow... this is so much..." Balkis had said. Her first words since they've entered. Rayyan exclaimed happily. She immediately took one bag without care "this is for me o, balkis take your own, I'm not sharing mine" Rayyan said jokingly. Balkis took one bag too even though she felt an ache in her heart. She thought bitterly "why didn't I follow her when she was going? At least I will be recognized and accepted by fola's parents too, meet big people and folakemi two brothers. She felt regretful and resentful at the same time. "why is she the only one who gets all these good things?" She was burning with jealousy but kept it in. They were all laughing and joking but Rayyan was watching balkis like a hawk. All her thought were opened to her like a book. Rayyan sighed inwardly. "Balkis please be content" she thought to herself.
It was harmonious until Rayyan heard the last part "when Rihannat said her drink was spiked."
