The Dynamaxed Mew noticed the slightest moment of hesitation from Shiko.
It decisively seized that gap.
And launched another attack at him.
Energy of every type was stirred up.
Mixed together, fused, and condensed into one.
The terrifying fluctuations of power
formed a pure white beam of energy
that blasted straight at Shiko's alloy body.
In an instant, it pierced through a hundred meters of space
and exploded against him!

A tremendous roar rang out.
Blinding, dazzling light erupted,
washing out everyone's vision.
The lingering aura of that heart-pounding energy,
together with the massive mushroom cloud rising into the air,
made everyone's hearts clench again.

a dragon's roar once again shook the world.
Shiko's body burst through the dense smoke
and appeared before everyone again.
The two-meter-tall WarGreymon,
for some unknown reason,
had also rapidly expanded in size.
At nearly thirty meters tall,
he was even a bit taller than the Dynamaxed Mew.
Unlike Mew,
his body was not wrapped in those purple cloud-like streams of Dynamax energy.
He looked
as though his body had merely been enlarged in perfect proportion.
His golden armor gleamed with a sharp metallic brilliance,
like a radiant sun.
The patterns on the Brave Shield behind him
brightened and dimmed as if they were breathing.
"How is that possible?!"
Seeing this, Genjo widened his eyes and cried out.
He could sense it.
The reason WarGreymon's form
had undergone such an enormous change
should have been the same as Mew's.
He had also used the power of Dynamax.
But something was very strange.
Why was it that after Dynamaxing,
he could still keep his original appearance?
Why wasn't his body wrapped in those purple cloud-like strands of Dynamax energy?
This form
looked more like some special state innate to WarGreymon himself.
Just like Genjo,
the members of the corps in the rear
were also deeply shaken.
In what they had believed to be a fatal crisis,
WarGreymon had reversed the situation once again!
That towering, mighty alloy body
looked exactly like a god standing before them in protection.

and brought them together.

that gigantic body clad in alloy armor began spinning at terrifying speed.

Shiko's rotation grew faster and faster,
until his dragon-man form could no longer be seen at all, leaving only a blurred golden silhouette.
A gigantic golden tornado, thirty meters tall, abruptly appeared.
A terrifying pulling force swept out.
Nearby trees, soil, and rocks were all dragged toward it.
Even space itself seemed to be collapsing.
It looked utterly horrifying.
The golden tornado leaped into the sky
and thrust straight toward Mew.
Reacting in time, Mew
did not hesitate to unleash its attacks at WarGreymon.
Thunderbolt!
Water Pulse!
Dragon Breath!
Venoshock!
...
All kinds of attribute energy mixed together.
Under the amplification of Dynamax energy,
the damage and range of every move became even more terrifying.
The entire sky was dyed into a bizarre riot of colors by the energy.
However!
Those frightening attacks
could not touch WarGreymon's body at all beneath the golden tornado.
Either they were shredded to pieces by the twisting power of the airflow,
or they were violently deflected away.
The momentum of the golden tornado
did not weaken in the slightest.
It slammed straight into Mew's body.
"Damn it!!"
Genjo cursed loudly, clenching his fists as his face turned pale.
He had thought that after Dynamaxing,
Mew would be able to crush WarGreymon.

that the other side could Dynamax as well?
And that its combat power would still remain above Mew's!
That terrifying pressure
made Genjo feel a deeply unreal sense of psychological whiplash.
Just a few minutes ago,
he had still been directing Mew to slaughter its enemies and sweep through the Military's combined forces.
But now,
this Second-tier Legendary Mew
was being crushed nearly to death by a Pokémon he had never even seen before?
Was this steel dragon-man-like Pokémon
really only a Second-tier Legendary?
That suffocating pressure, so hard to contend with,
was probably already close to that of a First-tier Legendary!
A string of thoughts flashed through Genjo's mind.
His eyes were wide open.
He could only watch helplessly
as the golden whirlwind slammed into Mew.
The immense impact and spiraling destructive force
tore at Mew's body while carrying its huge twenty-meter-tall form hundreds of meters into the sky, where it shrank into a tiny purple-pink dot.
Boom!!
A few seconds later,
Mew came plummeting down from the sky
and crashed into the ground.
The tremendous impact and massive body triggered another violent earthquake.
As the earth shook wildly,
a gigantic crater fifty meters across and seven or eight meters deep caved into the ground.
The entire forest was already a scene of utter devastation, without a trace of green to be seen.
It looked as if it had been struck by a massive meteorite.
Shiko's body, which had been a yellow point of light in the sky, gradually expanded again.
Suspended in midair,
he silently gazed at Mew below.
Even after such a violent attack,
Mew had only been heavily injured and had not completely fainted or lost its ability to fight.
It had even maintained its Dynamax state.
What a ridiculously tough body!
Shiko sighed and frowned slightly.
He had underestimated the stamina and vitality of Mew in its Dynamax form.
A hazy green glow
spread across the battered body of Mew.
It was using another recovery move,
trying to heal its injuries and close its wounds.
When he saw this,
impatience flashed across Shiko's face.
He no longer wished to continue this meaningless battle.
Since Brave Tornado
was not enough to one-shot Mew,
then...
he could only try that instead.
