Chapter 89: Good and Evil Split
Next to an RV, a man and a woman were sitting by a campfire.
"Oh, Jane, this is your stuff," the man with the long blond hair said, pulling out a notebook from his pocket.
"This is? Oh my god! Thor, thank you so much!" The woman named Jane was overjoyed. She hadn't expected Thor to bring the notebook back.
"I'm sorry, I wanted to bring everything back, but I only managed to retrieve one notebook," Thor said with a wry smile. He never thought he, the God of Thunder, would have such a helpless day.
"It's alright, Thor, you've helped me a lot. Having this notebook will save me a lot of trouble," Jane said excitedly.
Thor and Jane quickly started talking about Asgard.
"Our Asgard is one of the Nine Realms..." Just as Thor was about to give Jane a detailed introduction, a low growl echoed.
"Roar..."
Thor immediately stood up, looking around warily. He had no godly powers now and had to be cautious about everything.
Jane, standing beside him, fearfully clung to Thor's arm, hoping for a sense of security.
Accompanied by the sound of chains scraping the ground, a white figure walked into their view.
"A white tiger!" Jane cried out in disbelief. Where did a white tiger come from in this huge desert?!
"A wild beast?" Thor was surprised that the creature was a beast. This complicated things slightly.
Thor shielded Jane behind him. "Be careful."
Then Thor slowly walked towards the white tiger. He wouldn't let appearances beat him; he was Thor, the God of Thunder! How could he fear a mere wild beast?
"Come on! Let me show you the punch of an Asgardian!" Thor raised his fist and charged towards the white tiger.
To both their surprise, the white tiger saw Thor, immediately turned around, and ran.
"Haha! Even without my powers, I am still Thor, the God of Thunder!" Thor seized the advantage and chased after it.
"Wait! Thor!" Jane tried to stop Thor, but he had already run far away.
Not far away, in a spot still faintly illuminated by the lights, Thor stretched out his hands, grabbed the white tiger's chain, and swiftly leaped onto its back.
"Excellent. You are the first steed I have subdued on Midgard." Thor hadn't expected the beasts on Midgard to be so weak, far weaker than the fellow he fought earlier.
Thor, laughing loudly, didn't notice the sudden flicker of light in the white tiger's eyes. This light instantly spread over Thor.
"What is this?" Thor asked, staring at his hands in surprise.
Whoosh! A white light flashed.
The white tiger ran off on all fours, finally disappearing from their sight.
"What just happened?" Thor asked, rubbing his head.
"Haha! I shall conquer Midgard! And then march towards Asgard! My foolish father refused to unlock my powers even until death!" Another voice sounded right next to Thor.
Thor turned around and saw a man who looked exactly like him, laughing uproariously at the sky.
"What is going on?" Thor said, his eyes wide.
Evil Thor slowly turned around and looked at Good Thor. "Look at your cowardly appearance, utterly pathetic."
"Wait, are you Loki?" Good Thor suddenly thought, Loki loved playing tricks like this. After realizing this possibility, Good Thor's face crumpled, and he hugged Evil Thor's leg, crying. "Loki, my dear little brother, you finally came! I knew you wouldn't abandon your big brother."
"Get off!" Evil Thor disgustedly kicked Good Thor away, then placed his foot on Good Thor's chest. "You trash, wait and see! I'll show you what the real God of Thunder is!"
"Oh no! You can't do that. Why must you be the God of Thunder? Wouldn't it be better if we lived peacefully on Earth?" Good Thor cried weepily.
Evil Thor kicked Good Thor again and said, "You are a waste! Just die!"
"No!" Good Thor caught Evil Thor's fist. "Good Loki, stop playing around. We are a loving family!"
"I've had enough of you!" Evil Thor couldn't stand the sight of his own tearful face.
"Thor!" Jane's voice rang out from the distance.
Evil Thor broke free from Good Thor's grasp, pointed at Good Thor's nose, and said, "That annoying woman is your problem. I need to go get the hammer."
With that, Evil Thor left without looking back.
"Thor! What happened to you!" Jane rushed over, seeing Thor lying on the ground, and asked nervously. After seeing Thor run off earlier, she had immediately returned to the RV, grabbed a gun, and was now arriving late.
"I'm fine, Jane. It's just that my good brother, Loki, doesn't want me anymore, ah~" Good Thor hugged Jane, looking wronged and pitiful.
This gave Jane a chill, and she got goosebumps all over.
"What exactly is wrong with you, Thor!" Jane pulled away from Thor's embrace and asked.
Good Thor recounted the events that had just happened to Jane in detail.
"Are you saying that the white tiger was a trick by your brother Loki, and now he has transformed into your likeness and is going to get the hammer?" Jane felt like Thor was messing with her; this was too fantastical.
"It must be Loki. It's all my fault," Good Thor said, wiping away his tears.
Jane wasn't very good at comforting people, especially not Thor. He was a tall, strong man, but why was he crying so much?
"Alright, alright, Thor, get up. Let's go back first," Jane said. Although she held the gun, she was still worried. After all, the tiger was so agile; if it launched a surprise attack from the darkness, she might be tackled before she could even fire the gun.
Good Thor nodded and obediently followed Jane back to the RV.
Sitting back down, Jane began to sort out her confused thoughts. First, how could there be a tiger in this vast desert? Plus, Jane had noticed earlier that the tiger had a chain around its neck. Had it escaped from a circus? That would explain why the tiger ran away when it saw a person; a wild tiger would never run off like that.
Then there was the issue with Thor. She initially thought Thor was a tall, strong, and brave gentleman, but now he was so tearful and weepy.
"Jane, do you think if I give this to my brother, he'll forgive me?" Good Thor pulled out a pink hat from somewhere.
"I think he'll kill you," Jane replied.
On the Other Side
Evil Thor was marching towards the hammer. He was going to challenge it again. He was the God of Thunder; how could he fail to conquer the hammer?
"Loki, wait for my return," Evil Thor said fiercely.
