Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Just tell me if it's good or not!

Yin Xiu lazily raised his eyes and looked at Zhang Si, who was at the front of the players. "Why?"

His question left Zhang Si speechless.

"What?! The little girl is crucial to clearing the dungeon! We can't let you carry her all the time, what about the rest of us?! Are we even going to clear the dungeon?!"

Yin Xiu lowered his eyelids and slightly raised his chin, "If you can take it with you, then take it yourself?"

Zhang Si paused, glanced cautiously at the little girl who was intently fiddling with her braids, and hesitantly took a step forward. "Little sister, do you want to come with us? We'll take you to find your mother."

As soon as he spoke, the little girl glared at Zhang Si, her face contorted with displeasure, and she began to bar her teeth, "Get lost!"

Zhang Si was so frightened that he took a step back. The little girl had left a lot of psychological trauma on the other players in the first three days, so much so that they were still somewhat afraid of this little sister.

On the other hand, Yin Xiu reached out and patted the little girl's head, saying in a low voice, "You mustn't be impolite."

"Oh." The little girl nodded obediently. "But what if a creepy uncle tries to kidnap me?"

Yin Xiu continued gently, "If a bad person tries to kidnap you, remember to fight back and bite off their head."

"Okay!" The little girl immediately smiled broadly.

The other players broke out in a cold sweat. What was Yin Xiu teaching her? Was he trying to kill them?!

Yin Xiu glanced at Zhang Si, then calmly turned and went to the cafeteria for a meal.

Seeing that forcibly taking the little girl away was not going to work, Zhang Si changed tactics and spoke to Yin Xiu, "You can take her, but we have to do the mission together. She is the only condition for clearing the dungeon. If we are not allowed to have any contact with her, our mission progress will not be enough and we will not be able to complete the dungeon. Do you want us all to die here?"

"Then you guys wait here, I'll go after I finish eating." Yin Xiu finished getting his food and sat down to eat.

Zhang Si wanted to say something, but Zhong Mu shooed her aside fiercely, "Go away, go away, don't disturb our meal. If you want to do the task, do it yourself!"

Zhang Si's expression changed drastically. The newcomer, who disobeyed orders, turned around, hugged Yin Xiu, and began to swagger around, completely disregarding them, his seniors.

If Wang Guang hadn't died, these people wouldn't have had the chance to take control.

He glanced at Yin Xiu, who was eating, then at the quiet Li Mo and the little girl, and knowing that this group of people was not to be trifled with, he backed down and said, "Alright, everyone, sit down and wait. We'll set off together after the four of you have finished eating."

Even if they are unhappy, they can only wait.

The thought that Yin Xiu would die that night, and that they were wasting his own time, made them feel a little better.

"Uncle, look, my brother braided my hair into pigtails, isn't it pretty?" The little girl, who had eaten a late-night snack, wasn't hungry yet and didn't want to eat the cafeteria food. So she hugged her little toy and spun around among the players, happily showing off her two beautiful pigtails.

The little girl is cute when she's normal, with long black hair, big eyes, and a dazzling little red dress, like a doll.

But since her mother hadn't been around for the past three days, she hadn't taken care of herself much. This morning, Yin Xiu held her and braided her hair into pigtails. Now she was so happy she felt like she could fly, her eyes sparkling with anticipation for praise.

Zhang Si glanced at the two little braids she was pulling at with her small hands, and curled her lip in disdain. "Why would a grown man braid someone else's hair? What's so interesting about that?"

The moment he spoke, the little girl's face darkened, and she stared coldly at Zhang Si, "Isn't it pretty?"

Zhang Sihan exclaimed incessantly, "Beautiful...beautiful!"

"Hmph!" The little girl turned her head angrily and went to ask other people.

She wandered around the room, and every player who was even slightly dissatisfied was whispered a threat to her, ultimately earning unanimous praise.

Filled with praise, she happily turned back to Yin Xiu's side, leaned over the table, cupped her face in her hands, and watched Yin Xiu eat.

When she woke up, she looked tired and sleepy. Yin Xiu, who was sitting there braiding her hair, was truly an exceptionally good brother.

"What's wrong?" Yin Xiu asked, puzzled, as the little girl suddenly stared at him again.

The little girl shook her head. "It's nothing. After my brother finishes eating, we'll go to Grandma's house to find Mom."

"Okay." Yin Xiu nodded gently and continued eating.

The other players stared at the obedient and clever little girl in front of Yin Xiu with complicated expressions. They couldn't understand why the little girl was so docile towards Yin Xiu. Could there be such a bias among monsters?

After breakfast, Yin Xiu took out the second note he had written down from his mother from his pocket and briefly reviewed the rules before leaving the house.

Rule 1: Do not go to any monster's house on the way to Grandma's house.

I've experienced this before, and I remember it vividly.

Rule Two: Clean up Grandma's house and find Grandma's diary.

After thinking for a moment, Yin Xiu turned to look at the little girl, "Do you remember where your grandmother's house is?"

"Of course!" the little girl nodded excitedly.

Now Yin Xiu understood why the other players were so eager to wait for the little girl. They really couldn't do without her; only she knew where her grandmother's house was.

Rule 3: Go to the basement and get the blue pills you usually take.

Yin Xiu seemed to be deep in thought, glancing at the little girl out of the corner of his eye, "Are you taking your medicine?"

The little girl nodded. "I didn't eat it before. My mom gave me some after I touched the altar. I haven't eaten it for three days now."

Yin Xiu recalled a short note from her mother on the second note, which ended with a reminder to the little girl that the medicine she often took was her favorite color.

Is blue your favorite color?

"Of course not!" the little girl quickly objected. "I hate blue the most!"

Yin Xiu looked at Rule Three again with a meaningful expression.

The instructions above told the little girl to take the blue medicine, but the mother's instructions contradicted the rules.

But since the rules state that the little girl should get the blue pill, we still have to find it.

Rule 4: You must leave town at night.

The rules on the note aren't many. If we're quick enough, the little girl can complete all the rules tonight. Whether she can pass the level tonight is another matter.

"Alright, let's go." Yin Xiu pocketed the note, reached out and took the little girl's hand, ready to leave.

The other players also immediately stood up. They had no choice but to let Yin Xiu take the lead in the team, even if they were unwilling, since he had a little girl in his care.

A group of players were about to set off. Before leaving, Yin Xiu still made Li Mo take off his coat and cover the little girl with it, obediently abiding by the rule that no one else in town should see the little girl.

The town was quiet during the day; almost all the townspeople stayed in their rooms and didn't come out, so there wasn't a single person outside.

When the players passed by the statue in the square again, they were very cautious, afraid that they would be targeted by the woman again, but nothing happened today, and the square was still shrouded in gloom.

Everyone arrived smoothly at a house on the edge of town, Grandma's house, following the little girl's directions.

Although the house is old, it is very clean. The flowers and plants in the yard are neatly and beautifully maintained, and there is not much dust or clutter in front of the door. At least we can confirm that my grandmother used to live here.

"Grandma!" As soon as they reached the door, the little girl jumped down from Yin Xiu's arms and happily knocked on the door. "Grandma! I'm here!"

As soon as her hand touched the door, it creaked open slowly.

The scene inside the house stunned all the players standing at the door.
