Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 Why are you still eating other people's leftovers?

He stared at Li Mo and said in a cool tone, "Don't eat just any weird food. At least be selective."

Then he looked down and tapped the little girl's head in his arms, "You too."

Comments: ? ? !

"Brothers, I'm devastated. Did Yin Xiu already know his roommate's identity all along?"

"Why does he talk about eating monsters as casually as eating snacks?! Isn't anyone speaking up for the monsters?!"

"What heartwarming scene of family education? Haha, is this a dungeon? I'm speechless. Have some respect for the other players who are hiding in their rooms trembling with fear right now."

"So he knew all along that there were two weirdos around him every day? And yet nothing happened to him as he cleared the dungeon?"

"There are clues, guys. Yin Xiu must have known all along. He never questioned his roommate's strange behavior!"

"When Wang Guang died, his roommate came back with blood all over his mouth, but he didn't ask any questions."

"Who is Wang Guang? Was there such a person before?"

6.

Compared to the shock expressed in the bullet comments, the visuals inside the dungeon were much more subdued.

Li Mo smiled silently, while the little girl nestled in Yin Xiu's arms and mumbled, "I'll be hungry tonight... I haven't eaten enough yet."

Yin Xiu carried her back down the corridor, saying, "You've already eaten two."

"I haven't finished the first one yet. I'll go back and finish it later. My mom taught me not to leave leftovers." The little girl snuggled against Yin Xiu with bright eyes.

Li Mo followed quietly behind the two, glancing at the paintings around her from time to time.

These portraits occasionally exude a chill, creating a sense of oppression for those passing through the corridor. Yin Xiu had experienced this before, feeling nauseous. He also felt it when he came, but since there were women present, their presence was less noticeable. However, now, passing by with Li Mo, he didn't feel this at all.

The portraits were all quiet, as if they had become ordinary portraits hanging there.

"Ah! Where's my midnight snack!" As soon as she returned to the door at the end of the corridor, the little girl suddenly screamed, jumped off Yin Xiu's arms, and pounced on the spot where the waiter had been bitten to death. Tears welled up in her eyes as she turned back and said, "My midnight snack has been stolen."

There were no more remains of the waiter on the ground, only a bloodstain. Who else in this corridor could have eaten the same food as the little girl?

Two pairs of eyes slowly fell on Li Mo behind them.

Li Mo paused, his smile fading slightly, becoming a half-smile, "I didn't..."

The little girl pouted and mumbled, but dared not complain about Li Mo. She could only hug Yin Xiu's leg, looking aggrieved.

Yin Xiu's gaze fell on Li Mo, "Why do you even eat other people's leftovers?"

"I don't."

"Open your mouth and take a look."

After hesitating for a second, Li Mo opened his mouth, revealing not his previous mouth with its dense ring of teeth, but the normal human mouth that he had just researched.

Yin Xiu looked at it for two seconds and nodded. "The mouth is becoming more and more like a human's, but the tongue isn't blue, it's red. Be careful next time."

Li Mo smiled and closed her mouth, feeling very happy.

The comments section was once again in a state of chaos.

Yin Xiu turned his head and patted the little girl's head. "The corpse was probably cleared by the dungeon. Don't eat it, go back to sleep."

"Okay." The little girl could only nod while hugging Yin Xiu's leg.

The three parted ways; the little girl went back to her house with Yin Xiu, and Li Mo also returned to her own room.

Zhong Mu, who had been waiting for Li Mo to return, finally breathed a sigh of relief while huddled in his blankets. When he heard Li Mo get up and open the door to leave in the middle of the night, he was terrified.

After the lights were turned off, he not only sat on the edge of the bed but also suddenly got up and walked outside. He was so confused that he didn't even dare to ask. He only felt relieved when he heard Yin Xiu's voice outside.

But now that this person is back, they don't seem to be going to sleep at all...

Zhong Mu peeked out and saw that Li Mo was sitting on the edge of the bed with his eyes closed.

Upon noticing Zhong Mu's gaze, he abruptly opened his eyes and looked in their direction, startling Zhong Mu who quickly shrank back under the covers.

Seriously, a roommate who sits by the bed all night instead of sleeping is really scary, okay? Why did Yin Xiu give him a roommate like that?!

After returning to the room, the little girl soon returned to her original human form. After Yin Xiu tucked the little girl into bed and turned off the light, the room became completely quiet.

Before going to sleep, he looked at the little girl in the opposite bed who was curling up in the blankets, trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. "I have something to ask you before you go to sleep."

"Hmm?" The little girl poked her head out from under the covers.

"When you touched the altar, it wasn't your intention to go there, was it?"

Suddenly brought up this, the little girl quickly shrank under the covers, cautiously peeking out half her head. "How did you know, brother, that I didn't go willingly?"

"You don't look like the kind of kid who would run to the square in the middle of the night. You're very well-behaved."

The little girl was still very happy to be praised. She nodded hesitantly, "I didn't go there on my own initiative. I heard a sister crying at my door calling me over."

"A woman in a white dress?"

"Yes, she wanted me to help her, so I touched her..." A look of confusion appeared on the little girl's innocent face. "My mom told me that helping others is a good thing, but after I touched her, no one liked me anymore, and my mom often looked sad."

She looked at Yin Xiu cautiously, her eyes dim, "Brother...did I do something bad?"

"This isn't your fault," Yin Xiu murmured softly. He was pretty sure it was true; the little girl had broken the rules, and that woman had deliberately lured her. She had tricked the little girl into breaking the rules with ulterior motives, and like the mayor, she wasn't a good person.

"But everyone hates me now, and I don't know where my mom is." The little girl looked sad, blinked her eyes, and began to mutter, "I miss my mom, I want to go sleep with my brother."

Yin Xiu paused for a moment, then said, "Alright."

The little girl immediately jumped up from the bed happily, picked up her little rabbit, and prepared to go over. As soon as she stood up, she suddenly caught sight of a dark shadow floating in the empty seat behind Yin Xiu, baring its fangs and claws and exuding a threatening aura.

"..." The little girl pouted, gave up, and buried herself in the blankets. "Fine, I'm going to sleep."

"Aren't you coming?"

"No, I'll sleep by myself," the little girl muttered, turning over and facing the wall.

Yin Xiu lay down silently, wondering what was going on, when he quickly felt that familiar chill creep up on him and wrap around him tightly.

Sure enough, they came tonight too. No wonder the little girl suddenly stopped coming.

How long is this monster going to haunt him? Why is it that some monsters in dungeons don't kill him immediately after he breaks the rules, but instead linger on his bed every night? It's so annoying.

Yin Xiu had already mastered the skill of ignoring the sensation of the skin wrapped around his body and closing his eyes to sleep.

The latter half of the night passed quite peacefully, and nothing else happened until dawn.

The other players were fast asleep. As soon as it was light, they all got up and ate breakfast. Yin Xiu got up a little later. After washing up, he braided a little braid for the little girl and then took her out.

Zhong Mu and Li Mo were already in place outside the door, waiting for them to finish their meal so they could complete the second note the little girl had to follow.

As soon as the four of them went downstairs, all the players in the lobby turned around and focused their attention on them.

These players were also waiting for Yin Xiu to come down, but judging from their displeased expressions, they had no good intentions.

As soon as Yin Xiu came downstairs, he was surrounded by the other players. Led by Zhang Si, they aggressively blocked Yin Xiu's path and threatened him in a fierce tone: "Hand over the little girl!"

Yin Xiu: ?

He glanced down at the little girl beside him, who was happily playing with the braids that Yin Xiu had braided for her.

Don't make him sound like a human trafficker. Even if he wanted to hand her over, she would have to be willing to go.
